The strongest opponent Zayne fought was definitely Selania. Before he fought her, Zayne became much stronger and got a powerful weapon with which he performed one last attack.
However, in the Mirror Room, he did not face her, but someone who made him feel real fear.
Enar stepped slowly forward, while scarlet flames emanated from his blades, ready to head toward Zayne at any moment to end his life.
At that moment, Zayne had completely forgotten that he was in a simulation, emotion just gripped him, since all he could think about was his previous fight against Enar.
'I barely won then... and I had the others with me, only because of the many conditions I was able to be the winner...' Zayne muttered inwardly, clutching the hilt of his sword tightly, 'Fuck it! I have become much stronger since that day. Enar can't beat me now, that's for sure!'
Whooooooooooooosh.
Zayne's sword flashed a blue light as he was about to launch the Azure Cross, defeating Enar with his own weapon.
"Agh...? What's going on...?" Zayne muttered in confusion as his eyes went wide. Before he could comprehend anything Enar appeared before him, his silhouette tilted as if in an instant the whole world was turned upside down.
Zayne's head dropped next to Enar's feet, then his silhouette split into dark pieces bringing him back.
Solomon smirked, looking at the bewildered Zayne.
"Looks like your opponent was stronger than you thought, wasn't he?" Solomon smirked as he crossed his arms over his chest.
Zayne was silent, he was breathing heavily, trying to understand what had just happened.
'Status...' Zayne muttered inwardly.

Zayne studied each line carefully, he could not understand what was the reason for his defeat so quickly.
'No... It can't be... When I fought Enar I was several times weaker, that's for sure! Moreover, since then I have become much more experienced!' Zayne exclaimed inwardly, clenching his fists tightly as a cold sweat came out.
Tremble. Tremble. Tremble.
The mirror trembled as Rea emerged from it with an exhausted face, but she had a bright smile, indicating her progress.
"Oh, did you really almost win?" Solomon tilted his head with a curious look.
Rea shook her head, "I think I'm a long way from winning, but I was able to last a few minutes the first time. As far as I'm concerned that's a great result, isn't it?"
Solomon nodded. He kept a serious face, but could not hide a happy smile for his daughter's success.
Rea looked at Zayne, "Damn, you look like you fought a whole army alone. How's your progress? I bet you did something incredible again, right?"
Zayne's gaze turned dark. He sighed, leaned against the wall, and said, "Honestly, I'm not sure I lasted even three seconds. I didn't understand anything at all, Enar was like ten times stronger."
Solomon glanced at Rea, whose eyes went wide.
"Wait... Your opponent is Apostle...? Although... It's pretty obvious, isn't it?" Rea muttered as she touched her lips.
"Hmm...? I thought we were both fighting against him..." Zayne was puzzled, "Has there been a stronger opponent in your life than Enar?"
Rea wanted to say something, but Solomon interrupted her with a wave of his hand.
"That's not surprising since the Mirror Room allows you to face exactly who you've been fighting the longest, for real. I mean, as far as I know, Rea didn't last much time against Enar, so it's hard to call him, her opponent. However, you're a perfect match." Solomon said quietly, staring intently at Zayne.
Zayne shook his head, "Whatever, why is he so strong? There's definitely something wrong with this room!"
Solomon smirked, "Hah, don't you get it yet?"
Zayne glanced at him with a confused expression.
"I could be wrong, but considering that you lost in a few seconds, it becomes crystal clear." Solomon took a deep breath, "Zayne... I don't know what the reason is, but most likely the Apostle you fought against was not performing to his full power."
Zayne's eyes went wide as fragments from their battle, and some moments when he questioned himself about their battle flashed through his mind.
"So... What I've just lost in seconds... that's all I'm capable of...?" Zayne muttered as his whole body went into goosebumps.
Solomon nodded deeply, "Unfortunately, it is. However, you shouldn't feel bad. Apostles are incredibly strong opponents, there's nothing wrong with the fact that fate has been favorable to you and the Apostle you fought against has been significantly weakened..."
Solomon continued to speak, trying to cheer Zayne up and explain his situation, however, after the first words, Zayne was no longer listening to him.
He lowered his head, looking at the floor, which, like everything else in the room, was one big mirror. In the reflection, he saw a frightened young man who, because of a few words, began to feel pathetic and insecure and that revived in Zayne a powerful feeling that like a flame burst inside him.
"Fuck!" Zayne exclaimed furiously, slamming his fist into the ground.
Solomon and Rea were puzzled as they looked at each other.
"Zayne..." Rea muttered uncertainly, "Maybe you should rest. I'm sure fighting against Enar in his full power is a nightmare, for he is a monster..."
"Again..." Zayne whispered.
"Agh... What are you saying? I didn't hear you." Solomon muttered as he took a step forward, then he flinched, and his eyes went wide.
"I'm going to do it again, and I'm going to keep doing it until I defeat the one I already killed once!" Zayne's voice echoed through the room while his deep, dark eyes consumed everything around him, there was no light among them.
