Chapter 126 - Discovering Wills

Li Xiang stood up and said to the two of them: "Time is of the essence, let's go to Wen Jing's house to find the will, I'll go drive."

Mo Fei and Wen Jing nodded and went out together to wait for Li Xiang.

The car quickly arrived at Wen Jing's house. Wen Jing's previous home was a rich district, every person was a villa and a small garden. When Li Xiang drove over, he saw a abandoned horse farm and golf course, so he could imagine how rich this place was.

But in recent years, as new buildings were constantly being excavated, the people here had all moved out and were gradually becoming more and more dilapidated.

Li Xiang looked on speechlessly. Why didn't he have such a good life?

The car stopped beside a villa. The white European style building still showed its worth even though it was old. The three of them got off the car and stood next to the locked white door. They came in a hurry and didn't bring their keys.

Fortunately it was an iron lock, when his eyes glanced at a big stone at the side, he picked it up and smashed it down fiercely. The collision between the two made an ear-piercing sound, the surrounding quiet atmosphere had been destroyed, Mo Fei and Wen Jing both covered their ears.

Seeing that the iron lock had been easily broken, he curled his lips in disdain. He turned around and said to the two people behind him, "Quickly go in."

Mo Fei and Wen Jing looked at the broken metal lock.

He walked into a cobblestone path that stretched all the way to the entrance. Although the small garden on both sides of the path was in ruins, one could still see the splendor of the time. There were also some tenacious plants and flowers blooming in the wind.

When Wen Jing left this place, although she was very young, she still had some impression of it. When she thought of the place where her mother used to live, she couldn't help but tear up.

Everything here had been meticulously set up by his mother, and he had always been evading her, never coming here all these years. Rather than worrying about his father, it was more about his own cowardice that he didn't dare to accept the fact that his mother had passed away.

When Li Xiang and the rest reached the door, they suddenly realised that the door inside was not locked. Mo Fei gently pushed the door, and it creaked open.

The three of them looked inside the door vigilantly. Li Xiang signaled the two of them to wait outside the door, and the two nodded.

Li Xiang found a sturdy wooden stick from the ground and carefully entered the room. Mo Fei looked at him worriedly as he pinched his own palm with his long nails.

After around 10 minutes, just as Mo Fei was getting impatient and wanted to go in, Li Xiang put the stick on his shoulder and walked over leisurely, indicating that they can go in.

The three of them went to the nursery Wen Jing talked about, and when they opened the door, there was no dust as they had imagined. Li Xiang was even more sure of his suspicions.

At first glance, the entire baby's room looked gray, and everything in the room was covered by a white cloth. However, one could tell that the floor was covered with dust. Even if they were covered with white cloth, there would definitely be a thick layer of dust.

Li Xiang covered his nose with his hands, "Both of you move far away, I'll take off the white cloth on top first."

As the two walked further away, they suddenly lifted the white cloth that was covering them, causing a thick layer of dust to float in the air. It was as if they were free spirits dancing, but Li Xiang, who was the closest to them still choked and struggled to cough.

Li Xiang then opened up everything else, revealing the baby's room to him.

A pink crib was placed in the middle of the room, and on the bed were a few cloth dolls, almost all of them pink. The floor was covered with a fluffy carpet, which was very soft to step on.

There was also a small blue wardrobe and a small table. There were all kinds of toys on the floor. Although the wallpaper was already ruined, one could still see that it was the pink color of a princess.

When Wen Jing saw all of this, she barely held back her tears as they once again flowed down her cheeks. Her mother hoped to pamper her into becoming a princess, but her mother really missed her so much.

Li Xiang looked around and discovered nothing strange, "Although there is a thick layer of dust here, there should have been people who came here before. They might have come to the same conclusion as us, guessing that the will was hidden here."

Mo Fei covered her nose, and kept on using her hands to fan the dust in front of him, "I think it's like someone came here before, the iron lock on the door was destroyed, but the place that was damaged was not very rusty. Someone came here before us, but it should be around a week or so."

Wen Jing used her hand to feel the things in the room. She had never seen these things before, but this room had been locked up by her father ever since she was young. She did not know why her father hated her so much, and how her mother had risked her life for him.

"It's fortunate that they didn't find it." Wen Jing replied with a cold smile.

Li Xiang looked out of the window and couldn't help but think that since they had already looked for it, this meant that the will wasn't in these obvious places. Wen Jing's mother was also a peerless person in her generation, so she would hide things in an unexpected place.

Thinking of this, Li Xiang suspiciously asked Wen Jing, who was still in a daze, "Wen Jing, has your grandmother ever told you about anything your mother left you?

Wen Jing thought for a moment and shook her head. "No, at that time, my mother died too suddenly, so nothing was left behind, but my mother was very fond of painting. Before I was born, she drew many paintings for me, saying that they were my gifts."

Li Xiang pulled out a heavy wooden chest from under the bed. The chest seemed to be very old, but Li Xiang could still smell the scent of wood.

"It should be these." Li Xiang said as he took out a painting from the box. He carefully unfolded it, revealing a blue ocean, one big and one small, the two of them sitting on the beach and gazing at the sea. Although they couldn't see their faces, they could guess that it was Wen Jing and her mother.

Li Xiang handed the painting over to Wen Jing, who gently caressed the yellowing scroll in her hands. Her tears involuntarily fell onto the picture, and gradually began to dye it.

Suddenly, the drawing changed, the parts of the painting that were wet with tears revealed some words, Wen Jing quickly showed the painting to Li Xiang.

Seeing this situation, Li Xiang immediately understood. No wonder they couldn't find his.

"I know where the will is." Li Xiang told the two of them happily.

"Great!" Mo Fei said happily.

Li Xiang carefully took off the frame, revealing the back of the painting. Then, he rubbed it twice at the edge of the painting, and creases appeared on the edge of the painting, revealing two pieces of paper.

He then slowly tore off the paper at the back, creating a thin layer of unknown material.

Then, the three of them saw rows and rows of small words. Li Xiang brought them to the window and when the sun shone upon it, the words were immediately displayed clearly, "We have found the will!" There was a distinct sense of joy in his voice.

Then he showed it to Wen Jing, who carefully caressed the words on it. She could imagine how much her mother had hoped while she was writing this. She had wanted to leave the best for herself, but things had gone against her wishes.

Mother, I will live well, with your love and hope for me.

Wen Jing looked out of the window with a determined gaze. She seemed to see her mother smiling at her from the air, and a teardrop fell from the corner of her eye.

After returning home, Wen Jing returned to her room to rest. Mo Fei laid on the sofa to not move, hesitating whether or not she should tell her about the matter with Li Quan An.

Mo Fei saw the change in Li Xiang's expression in a glance, "What's wrong, what's wrong? Is there something wrong with your face? "

Li Xiang looked up and down at Mo Fei, then lowered his head and asked: "Do you know someone called Zhao Keng?"

"Zhao Keng? I seem to have heard of this name somewhere. Oh yeah, I remember now, we ate together when we were discussing business. " Mo Fei suddenly remembered Zhao Keng's appearance, "What happened to him?"

However, she didn't like him. He was a handsome man, but she felt an unexplainable disgust when she saw him. Perhaps his aggressive gaze made her feel disgusted, as if she was his prey.

Li Xiang looked at Mo Fei who had an expression of ignorance, and sighed helplessly. He thought to himself, I'm almost going to die because of her, she still doesn't know.

Li Xiang gave a cold snort, "He's nothing much, I'm just about to lose my life." His face suddenly turned cold.

"I'm going to die soon!" Mo Fei screamed.

Li Xiang immediately covered her mouth and whispered, "Aunt, lower your voice, do you want to call everyone down?"

Li Xiang's face immediately flushed red, he dared not speak. Looking at the exceptionally shy Mo Fei, Li Xiang's heart moved, his body slowly leaned towards Mo Fei. Mo Fei fearfully retreated, and the two of them fell onto the sofa together.

Li Xiang lowered his hand at this moment, his gentle and emotionless eyes looking at the beautiful woman in front of him. His fingers gently caressed her delicate face, and his slightly hoarse voice faintly sounded: "Didn't I say that your beautiful face is a disaster? You still don't admit it, because, little fellow, my life is already going to be in Zhao Keng's hands. "

Mo Fei couldn't stand Li Xiang's gaze that was filled with deep emotions and avoided his eyes uncomfortably, but his tone clearly carried guilt and worry, "I didn't know Zhao Keng would do this, I didn't even speak with him, sorry, it's all my fault."

Ever since they had eaten together at the same table, Zhao Keng had actually asked her out a few times. He had thought that Yun Che wanted to cooperate with him, so he had decided to come along.

Who knew that this time, it would implicate Li Xiang again? In the end, his heart was pained, as ever since Li Xiang had protected him, it had been extremely troublesome. He had even helped him protect him from wind and rain, and he had always been implicating.

Li Xiang laughed softly as his face slowly approached Mo Fei. Just when Mo Fei thought she was going to kiss her, she nervously closed her eyes and didn't do so as she had expected.

Mo Fei opened her eyes doubtfully, and when she saw the flirting gaze of Li Xiang, he became furious and extended her hand over.

Fortunately, Li Xiang's hands were quick, he managed to grab hold of it. Mo Fei's strength was weak, he was unable to pull it out, and could only stare at him.

"Don't be angry, I was just joking with you. Zhao Keng won't disturb you in the future, how can he touch me?" Li Xiang stood up from Mo Fei's body and said solemnly.

Mo Fei did not answer, but immediately ran upstairs, leaving Li Xiang to look at his back.
