Chapter 97 100 Years

Name:First Demonic Dragon Author:
"So… what do we do now?"

Audrina and Exedra were staring at each other unmoving.

While Audrina was panicking internally, Exedra was calmly observing the woman in a new light.

'I can smell the desire flowing off her in waves… and yet she has not made a single perverted remark.'

It seemed like Audrina had grown in her time as Megumin if only a bit.

"Audrina."

"Y-yes?"

'Even his voice sounds more enticing! Fuck I'm so wet, how did he get so much more attractive out of the blue?!' The vampire queen was trying to pay attention but it was hard.

She was so distracted by his appearance she barely registered that he said his father was alive!

"What were you planning to do when you confessed? I'm sure Mira would've been very sad if her pet up and disappeared."

"Well I planned to get her a new one before I disappeared that looked just like me!" Audrina answered quickly.

"And if it's behavior was different?"

"Vampire mind control doesn't just work on humans you know?"

She flashed him a proud smile that left the dragon feeling slightly touched.

This woman had seemingly thought of everything in her effort to win his affections.

He was more than a little touched but…

"You know that I may never be able to return your feelings right?"

Exedra was not one to beat around the bush.

Audrina was too gorgeous a woman to be lead on and the demon believed that being honest about his feelings was the best way to respect her.

The vampire nodded and did not seem to be the least bit hurt by this statement.

"Even knowing that, you still plan to pursue me?"

"I do." Her answer was swift and without the slightest hesitation.

She boldly walked forward and placed her soft hand on his face. "I don't need you to do anything special. If I can't make you fall for me within a reasonable time I promise to give up."

"And what would a reasonable time be?" Exedra normally would've smacked Audrina's hand away but for some reason he did not mind it at the moment.

"Oh just a hundred years or so."

His calm expression broke immediately and he nearly choked when he heard the vampire's lengthy timeframe.

"What? It's not like we're human. As an evolved and a dragon your lifespan is already extremely lengthy and I am already immortal so is a century really that long?" Audrina did not understand why Exedra was looking at her as if she'd just said something outlandish.

Exedra stared blankly at her before doing something that left the ancient vampire completely stunned.

"Pfft… you're surprisingly amusing!"

For the first time, Audrina saw the man she loved laugh and felt her heart skip a beat.

She felt as if she could die happy right then and there while her ovaries began to ache as she imagined the man in front of her forcing her into all different kinds of positions.

"Alright then Audrina Sanguine…" Exedra rose up from his seat on the bed and offered the vampire queen a handshake.

"To the next 100 years."

'H-he looks so good I want him inside me within the next 100 seconds!'

Audrina bit the inside of her jaw in an attempt to retain a semblance of control and took Exedra's outstretched hand.

"To the next 100 years."

She soon returned to her cat form and crawled up into Exedra's arms alongside a sleeping Mira.

Now that things with Audrina had been sorted out, it was time for him to go and see his father.

He wasn't sure exactly what room he'd be in with the castle being so large but he had other ways of finding him.

They were connected now after all.

-

Exedra opened a large ornate door that led to another bedroom where three familiar faces were waiting for him.

Zheng, Eris, and Lusamine were all standing around staring at a man sleeping on the bed.

The man's chest was comfortably rising and falling as if he was having a pleasant dream.

The girls had tears in their eyes whilst Zheng was trembling.

None of them even acknowledged Exedra's presence as they continued to stare at he man they believed was long dead.

'He's really alive..'

On the way here Exedra had explained to Audrina the circumstances behind Asmodeus' supposed death but she didn't believe it until right this moment.

'You… how were you able to free him?' Audrina asked telepathically.

Now that she knew Exedra had discovered her little secret, she could converse with him openly and work to improve their relationship.

Exedra debated on if he should answer her question because the answer was so inconceivable.

The chances of her believing him were low but on the off chance she did she'd think the man she loved was a monster that should not exist.

'I… ate a piece of his soul.'

Audrina fought the urge to roll her eyes. 'You should stick to being handsome because you're not very funny.'

Only after she got nothing but silence as a response did her eyes widen and she looked at the man holding her in a new light.

'You… how can you even?..'

This was about the reaction Exedra expected and he could honestly understand her disbelief.

Souls can only be manipulated or damaged by the absolute strongest of death mages and even that has its limits.

But Exedra had just told her he'd eaten one!

The system had revealed something crucial to Exedra about his powers that he was not yet aware of.

When he eats the heart of an enemy, he is effectively eating their soul and absorbing the benefits.

But what would happen if he ate only a piece of a heart while having something specific in mind that he wanted to take?

The system warned him of the abysmal odds of success but Exedra was determined to give his mother the gift she craved most.

Unfortunately, he had grossly underestimated the difficulty of absorbing the power of someone who was still full of life, as well as someone who's soul was several times larger and stronger than his own.

Almost as soon as he began, Asmodeus' soul defended itself and shattered Exedra's like glass.

He should be brain dead right now, doomed to spend the rest of his life in a catatonic state but luckily he has an extremely doting grandmother and a generous grandfather.

The augmentations made to Exedra's body and soul provided him the necessary strength to not only take the sin of lust, but to break his father's shackles as well.

And now his father was lying in a catatonic state as his soul attempted to regenerate the damage caused by having his sin forcibly removed.

But how could he possibly explain all that to this woman currently disguised as a cat?

Instead he flashed the awed cat in his arm a coy smile.

"I have a great many talents."

Normally that pristine white smile would've been enough to drive Audrina mad but since she was given such an unsatisfying answer she was currently suppressing the urge to punch him with her paw.

'Seriously… what kind of man have I fallen for?'
