Chapter 100 Longing & Freedom

Name:First Demonic Dragon Author:
Eris was currently looking out the window in Asmodeus' room with a forlorn expression on her beautiful face.

Since Exedra had left, she hadn't really been herself and was barely eating.

"Is it still shocking?"

The dark elf was so deep in her thoughts, she didn't even hear Lusamine walk in.

"Or is there something else entirely on your mind?" She teased.

Eris rolled her eyes and returned back to gazing absentmindedly out the window.

Lusamine said it in a joking manner but in all honesty she was attempting to feel Eris out.

"I wonder how long he'll be gone." The succubus sauntered next to Lusamine and joined her in gazing out the window.

"Who are you talking about?"

"Don't play dumb with me, elf." Lusamine scolded. "Do you think he'll be gone long?"

Eris was conflicted internally.

She'd always found Exedra to be more than a little charming but after his ascension to demon lord, his new appearance was permanently engraved into her mind.

Her husband was considered to be attractive by many but… she could not help but compare the two and find that Exedra was vastly superior.

Even Pythias had begun to notice that Eris was no longer hiding that she did not enjoy their intimate time and during the act she would simply lay there like a dead fish.

Unbeknownst to her, she had already fallen deeply into the trap that is the sin of lust.

Exedra's attractiveness is multiplied a hundredfold by women who know they shouldn't be with him.

Whether it was because they were a devout woman of faith and he was a demon, or a happily married woman, it makes no difference.

Given enough time and exposure the women would turn away from what they knew and throw themselves at his very feet.

Is lust not the most delicious when at least one of the participants knows it's wrong?

"I don't know but…" Eris hesitated before she honestly answered. "I would like to see him again soon."

Lusamine smiled when she realized her friend was finally saying what she wanted.

Truthfully, she'd never liked Pythias and that dislike only festered when she learned the story of how the two became married.

'Should I push her a little more?'

-

City lord Nicholas was having a pretty strange day.

He'd just finished letting the team of 'extractors' into the dungeon for their daily collection when a guard brought a small child in to his mansion.

The little girl had long silky raven hair, clear white skin and two innocent almond eyes.

She couldn't have been any older than six years old.

She was said to be delivering some message from her father but as soon as she saw a plate of butter cookies in the parlor her eyes took on a visible sparkle and she'd been chowing down ever since.

'Such a cute kid… what kind of irresponsible father sends a child this defenseless out on her own to deliver a message?'

The young girl hurriedly finished the plate of cookies before releasing a small satisfied burp and rubbing her stomach with a pleased expression.

Nicholas chuckled as he handed the little glutton a napkin to wipe the cookie crumbs from her cheeks.

"Are you satisfied little one?"

"Yea!"

The city lord chuckled before he sat down opposite Mira. "What's this I hear about you having a message for me?"

"Oh, right!" The girl hurriedly began rummaging through her coat pocket and pulled out a crumpled up letter.

She cleared her throat and was about to begin reading when the hidden door to the dungeon creaked open and three men wearing pristine white robes carrying crates of materials came out.

"Oh? Whose this little one?"

"She's adorable."

"I wish my daughter was that cute."

The men all took turns offering the young girl on the couch compliments but she was much too distracted by another fact.

"The misters.. smell like blood."

Nicholas glared at the three men for entering without knocking before he put on a smile and lied through his teeth. "Oh these men are butchers you see? They were slaughtering animals because were going to have a feast tonight! Would you like to join us little one?"

The girl did not respond and instead climbed down from the couch and walked towards the secret passage the men had just emerged from.

She knew what animal blood smelled like and this… was not animal blood.

"I'm sorry little one but you can't go down there it's not a sight for someone as young as yourself." One of the men in white robes squatted in front of the young girl to halt her advance.

The girl put on a thoughtful expression as she seemed to be having an internal debate.

"Do you just like animals? Tell you what I have a dog at home that I thin-"

POW!

The young girl delivered an uppercut from hell to the man in her way and his eyes promptly rolled back into his head as he comically fell backwards.

"What the fuck…"

The three remaining conscious men were greatly shocked but that quickly dissipated when they saw the young girl had continued her descent into the cellar and was no longer in the room with them.

"Get her!" Nicholas commanded.

The two collectors placed their materials down and chased after the girl.

When the small girl reached the dungeon, what she saw disturbed her greatly.

A girl a bit older than her was strapped to a metal table.

The girl's arms were covered in needle marks and her patchy golden hair could be seen growing back slowly, indicating a recovery potion had been used, albeit a low level one.

"Gotcha!" One of the collectors had caught up to the young girl and promptly placed his hand on her small shoulders.

The girl on the table seemed to notice the intrusion and looked down to see a beautiful young girl staring at her with pained eyes.

Nicholas and the collectors surrounded the young girl and we're debating on what to do with her.

"We can't let her go now that she'd seen this."

"Who'd believe her? What I wanna know is how she knocked out Humphrey."

Amidst the chatter of the adults, the young girl with almond eyes finally spoke. "Hey.. do you want Mira to save you?"

The girl on the table seemed to realize that this girl was talking to her.

She didn't know if this girl could really help her but she was so desperate she would take any opportunity no matter how small it seemed.

The girl nodded furiously with tears in her eyes and Mira gave her a childish smile.

"Okay, just wait there!"

"Hey! Nobody is going-"

Swoosh!

Thunk!

Thump!

Before Nicholas could even process what happened, the two men standing next to him had large spears of ice jammed into their heads.

As their bodies hit the ground, the city lord backed away from the monstrous little girl in front of him in horror.

"Mira is supposed to tell you that you have four hours to prepare your city to be attacked."

"A-attacked? B-by who?!"

"Mira's daddy!"

"..Can you be more specific?"

The girl rubbed her chin thoughtfully as she desperately tried to remember what her daddy said his official title was.

"Umm… I know he's a demon lord now but Mira can't remember exactly which one."

That single sentence made Nicholas' heart sink to the pit of his stomach before he immediately realized this was exactly the opportunity he'd been waiting for.

The whole reason they'd been collecting from Illia was in preparation for exactly this moment.

But for right now, he had to play the part of a spineless fool so as not to arouse suspicion from this powerful child.

"Ah.. h-how scary!"

"Right? Mira's daddy is super duper strong!"

Seeing as how the man in front of her was petrified by the mere mention of her father, Mira moved away from him and walked over towards the captive girl.

"Mira's gonna free you now okay? You're gonna come with me!"
