Chapter 517 Ammit Gets Informed
Apophis stepped inside of the home theatre in the castle and caught the end of a rather scandalous sight.
It was around 3 A.M, and most of his mothers were in bed sleeping.
The only ones who weren't were Audrina, Seras, and Erica.
The three of them were on the couch sandwiching their husband with three very special visitors in their laps.
Straga, Yemaya, and the ever-feisty Yemaja.
All seven of them were sitting in front of the screen, singing the theme song to a very popular late night television show that they seemed to have become very addicted to.
All: "Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba- ba! Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba!"
"What are you lot doing?"
"KYAA!"
"Shit!"
"Bro-bro!"
Cries of surprise escaped the mouths of those in attendance as chip bags and little bits of candy flew into the air.
Straga crawled out of his mother's lap and ran up to Apophis with his arms outstretched.
Smiling, Apophis lifted up the youngest of his siblings and hoisted him onto his shoulder before turning back to their parents.
"What are you all doing in here this late?"
Erica: "N-Nothing!"
Audrina: "W-We're the parents here, should you be questioning us?"
Abaddon: "What are you?doing here this late?"
Apophis folded his arms across his chest.
"I was going to get things set up for Tiamat and I since we couldn't sleep. Imagine my surprise when I find you all in here watching 'George Lopez' and eating snacks."
Abaddon and his wives?looked at each other came to an immediate understanding of what had to be done.
""""Don't tell your mothers.""""
Normally Apophis would have obliged, but today he was feeling particularly vengeful.
Earlier in the daytime, Abaddon had jokingly chastised his son about his poor eating habits in front of his wives.
His words were, 'Y'know, I think I might have my old pants lying around somewhere if you think you'll need them?'
Of course, the girls found it funny and laughed, but Apophis didn't find it funny.
Not even a little bit.
"Now, I wonder just how much the rest of my sweet mothers would like to know that you are watching their favorite show without them and keeping our youngest up past their bedtime for snuggles."
Almost immediately, everyone looked like they had just been caught with their pants down.
Abaddon smiled wryly and tried to diffuse the situation before something irreversible happened.
"Now son, why don't we talk about a way to-"
"Say cheese."
"Noo!"
-
"I ended up sending the picture to them and dad was in the doghouse for like a day and a half.
I feel bad that some of our moms were collateral damage, but overall I think it was a pretty successful revenge."
"...I see."
Apophis swiped on his phone to the next image in his camera roll.
"Oh, this was the time I caught dad and Mira having a tea party and she put a little tiara on top of his head. I was able to get a picture of it just before he pulled it off."
"Oh..? Interesting..." Ammit muttered.
There was only one among the six whose function was to extract and amplify the most powerful components of the host's DNA.
Even if she wanted to pretend that she didn't know what it was, she couldn't.
And now more than ever, the danger of engaging in battle had just skyrocketed.
But it was about to take another step up.
Finally, Thea unsheathed the longsword she'd been keeping strapped to her back, and the air seemed to crackle with malevolence.
The black blade seemed to come alive once it sensed the negative intentions directed towards it's wielder, and it became longer, thicker, and sharper.
But that wasn't all.
There was also a familiar scent trickling into Athena's nose that almost made her vomit.
Poison.
And it wasn't like the kind she got sprayed with earlier.
Athena knew for certain that if she let that blade break even the first layer of her skin, there would be no saving her.
She could cry for hours, scream until she was blue in the face, and use all of the healing magic in her arsenal, and it would all amount to fuck all.
'What a repulsive weapon...!'
Moving at the speed of light, Thea swung her blade in a wide arc that all but decimated the domain around her.
Athena only barely managed to avoid the sword's edge by a hair's breadth, and lashed out with her spear in retaliation.
In a twist that she wasn't expecting, Thea didn't bother dodging again, only this time it was the armor that took the brunt of the hit.
Despite it's fragile appearance, the tip of Athena's spear bounced off of Thea's breastplate like a tennis ball off a court.
And with the delay caused by Athena's blunder, Thea had prime opportunity to swipe her blade across her opponent's body and cut her into two.
But Athena was able to get her shield up at the last moment to block successfully and prolong her life.
But it came at the expense of her shield.
Thea's weapon was able to cut through the bronze relic like it was made of tissue paper; all but completely destroying it.
And the worst part was that the blade had gone all the way through and cut through Athena's wrist armor.
She'd been cut, but before she could suffer any ill effects she severed her own arm at the joint and let it fall to the ground.
"Aww. I missed." Thea said calmly.
The soulless and dark look in her eyes reminded Athena of the most unsightly inhabitants of Tartarus.
And it infuriated beyond description.
"Impudent worm!!!"
Athena roared and soon the light making up her body became even brighter.
Sensing danger, Thea quickly retreated to a safe distance to avoid any unseen surprises.
Athena started to grow meter by meter, until she was of titanic size.
Standing at over 100 meters tall, she was the largest being Thea had ever seen who didn't have scales.
But judging by the power flowing off of her, she didn't really need to be either.
She was most certainly among the strongest individuals Thea had ever met.
But when her father was the pinnacle of the supernatural, how could she ever be afraid?
At her full size, Athena tightened her grip on her spear and plunged it into the ground where Thea stood.
In that moment, the young princess gathered all of the strength in her body and hoisted her sword over her shoulder.
Smiling confidently, she swung her sword like a bat in order to connect with Athena's spearhead.
An abysmal explosion erupted from their clash and threw the entire realm into disarray.
While Thea was flung backward from the force of their collision, Athena tumbled when her foot got caught in one of many newly created ravines in the desert.
Unable to stop herself, she tripped and fell right through the roof of Anubis' temple; destroying the thousands of years old structure.
