Chapter 590 The Death of Asgard : Part VIII

As Abaddon rushed towards Poseidon with only a single goal in mind, several olympians ran to meet him.

Led by Athena, there was Artemis, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hermes, Hestia, and even Dionysus.

Since the focus was on finishing quickly, naturally Hermes raced forward with the intent of landing the first blow and buying time for the others to set up their plan.

In one hand, the god of travel held a staff adorned with two living snakes wrapped around the top.

Moving so fast that the world was practically moving at a standstill, Hermes swung his weapon towards Abaddon's head like a baseball bat; aiming to ruin his peerless good looks.

However, at the moment where he thought he had the dragon god bested in terms of speed, Abaddon suddenly began moving faster, but Hermes was in no position to stop his momentum.

Abaddon opened his mouth impossibly wide and revealed a mouth that was lined with razor-sharp teeth.

He caught the staff within his mouth and bit down on both the metal and the serpents alike.

As animal blood and shards of metal filled his mouth, Abaddon reached out with both hands and used one to grab Hermes by the neck, and the other to rip away the remnants of the staff from Hermes' hands.

Taking the broken metal pole, Abaddon ran the sharp in through the bottom of Hermes' jaw- impaling his skull.

-

Hades: "That's one down... We still have time to stop thi-"

Poseidon / Zeus: ""Silence, brother.""

Beside the three gods, the egyptian god Thoth was watching Abaddon's every move closely.

They say that knowing your enemy is half the battle, and the ibis-headed god was prepared to soak up as much knowledge as he could to get through this battle as quickly as possible with a perfect strategy.

-

Abaddon hurled Hermes over his shoulder like an empty soda can just as Athena came flying at him with a shield and sword in her hands.

"Die, dragon!"

The sight of her new mechanical ligament was a quick reminder for Abaddon that perhaps this enemy wasn't his to kill.

Drawing back his fist, he threw a punch that contained so much speed and power that it sounded like a cannon going off.

Athena raised her shield to protect herself from the blow, but as of right now Abaddon's physical strength was near it's original due to all of these enemies on the battlefield.

Meaning that merely blocking was almost the same as doing nothing at all.

Once Abaddon struck her shining bronze shield dead center, the entire metal disk shattered like glass.

Athena's body was bent inward horribly and she was catapulted backwards like a rocket.

She rolled all the way to the feet of her father and uncles, and Zeus immediately dropped to check on her while Hades shook his head pitifully.

"Two..."

""SILENCE, BROTHER!""

Meanwhile, Abaddon heard the very familiar thrumming of a bowstring and was immediately on guard.

Looking up, he found Artemis riding upon a bluish silver horse and her brother Apollo riding a flaming chariot.

Both of them were stationary in the air and were drawing back the absolute largest bows that Abaddon had ever seen.

The arrows they fired were unique to each sibling.

Artemis' arrows were a glowing blue and appeared to be made from shining moonlight.

As his long red hair regrew back to full length, Amaterasu finally backed away anxiously as if she'd realized she had made an immense mistake.

"Ah... I missed magic so much. Seems we truly dont know what we have until it's gone, do we?" Abaddon's tone was soft and his smile was friendly, but there was not a deity in attendance who felt reassured by those things.

Abaddon ripped away the vines ensuring him and plucked out alll of the arrows that'd pierced him.

Once his body was free and unencumbered, he gave his clothes a quick pat down as if to check and ensure that he was still decent.

When he found the new surplus of holes within the belt gifted to him by Demeter, he felt more pain than he did from being stabbed.

The whites of his eyes regained their black color, and his eyes burned with a new resentment.

"As I said, Asgard dies today. And this soon to be forgotten place will become your tomb."

Holding up his hands Abaddon began casting two spells.

The first was one of his own devising, a set of thirteen arts that utilized magic and martial arts alike.

"Divine Art of the True Demon: Six Steps to Subdue Creation."

The second spell actually came from a series that he'd been taught; courtesy of his handsy but well-meaning mother-in-

law Karliah.

"Existential Nemesis Magic : Malefic Instability."

Abaddon took one step forward and the pressure within Asgard was multiplied 100 fold.

The weaker gods who could not bear it fell on their faces instantly, while the strongest among them became hunched over.

However, this was where Abaddon's second spell took effect.

Each time a person hit the ground, the sudden force not only broke it, but their mere weight caused the atoms making up the ground to collapse in on themselves.

Because of this, hundreds of thousands of small black holes suddenly opened up within the world and began pulling in matter and crushing them into nothingness.

When Abaddon took another step, the pressure was multiplied again, and the number of black holes jumped to a few million.

Thoth was almost on his knees as he struggled to not touch the ground, and his mind was working adamantly to try and think up a solution.

No matter how hard he searched for an answer, he couldn't overlook the fact that there didn't seem to be one.

These black holes were going to keep devouring matter and growing and growing until they swallowed all of Asgard.

And with every soldier hitting the ground creating a new black hole, this process was going to happen even faster.

"Zeus! Order the retreat!" Thoth yelled as Abaddon took his third step.

"Don't need to fucking tell me twice..!" Hades disappeared immediately in a puff of black mist and left all of the gods behind.

Zeus ground his teeth so hard that he cracked them.

He didn't want to flee like some wounded beast!

He was the king of Olympus and the most powerful ruler of the gods; surrender went against every bone in his body!

But once he saw Abaddon raise his leg to take another step, his bluff was finally called.

"ALL FORCES FALL BACK! FALL BAC-"

Appearing in a gust of wind, Abaddon grabbed Zeus and Poseidon by their faces and held the two above his head.

"I don't care if the rabble flees my wrath, but you two are the only ones I will absolutely not allow to escape...!"
