When Abaddon and his forces passed through Nyx's rift into the underworld, he was expecting to see something grand.
Or anything really.
But there was nothing.
Complete and absolute darkness as far as the eye could see.
'Interesting...'
He held up a finger and produced a small wisp of dark red flame was produced above his claw.
The darkness began actively trying to blot out the light to return this place to a pitch black once again.
Finally, Abaddon had a bit of a better idea about where he was.
"This is your place of power..."
"Handsome and astute. Who would've thunk it?"
Abaddon and the others could hear Nyx's voice all around them.
A giant head appeared in front of him. Possessing skin and hair that seemed to be woven from the night and stars itself; almost the same as Abaddon's divine wrath state.
"I confess that I do find myself a bit embarrassed having let you all in here, since my home doesn't have the same amenities as your own. I don't have Valerie's flair for home decor."
Ayanna stuck out her chest with pride and it was quite easy for their husband to tell who had most of the control at that moment.
Nyx suddenly vanished from in front of Abaddon.
Instead, she created one hundred and fifty clones of her head and materialized in front of Abaddon's soldiers.
"I normally wouldn't let outsiders in here, but my friends seem to trust you with their lives. Keep all that you see here a secret, okay cuties?"
Nyx was acting sweet and patient-like, but she most certainly wasn't leaving anything up for debate or interpretation.
Being in a primordial god's place of power is a very intimate thing that is not at all like sitting in their living room.
In human terms, it's not very different from seeing them naked.
You are literally witnessing their perceptions of themselves and the totality of their existence in all of it's splendor.
Nyx even allowing others to be here was a massive favor to Abaddon and Ayaana.
'I'm honestly kind of shocked she'd do this...' Kanami said telepathically.
'I know. She must really want to get inside my mommy and daddy's pants.' Mira responded back.
"You don't need to worry, Nyx. They won't say a word." Abaddon vowed.
"Yes, well perhaps I just wanted to play with them a bit. They're so stiff after all."
The Euphrates continued to remain motionless as if they weren't even alive underneath their masks and armor.
"They're very well disciplined." Abaddon boasted. (Because Kanami beats them.)
"So I see..." Nyx muttered. "Let us see if they are as competent as you claim. Perhaps then they can do what needs to be done without tearing the realm asunder in the process."
"They are very well versed in restraint, Nyx. Worry not." Ayaana smiled. (Because Kanami beats them.)
"Let us hope so..."
He was anxiously looking back and forth between the intruders, and the large green portal that looked to be recently opened.
"Mira honey, do you mind?" Ayaana smiled.
Mira conjured up a bow of ice that was too large for even her father to use.
She notched an arrow, drew back the string, and fired all in under a second.
The arrow soared towards the bridge outside of Hades' home and formed frost in the air within it's wake.
Hades waived his hand dismissively and a phantom limb made from bone appeared just above his own head.
The limb lunged out and snatched away Mira's icy projectile before she could have a chance to do anything of substance.
Hades crushed the arrow with his skeletal limb and unknowingly kicked the hornet's nest.
When Mira's arrow was crushed, an explosion of chilly energy burst out from the shards of broken ice.
Hades felt the temperature do a rather immediate swan dive that was so significant that he could see his breath in front of him and his hands began to turn blue.
But that wasn't all.
While Mira intentionally stoked the cold to make the underworld a winter wonderland; Ayaana was putting the finishing touches on a rather powerful spell.
The reason the Tathamets never dared come to the Greek underworld before now was that any god could come here and survive.
They could even leave as long as Hades allowed them, or they had some special method prepped beforehand.
Meaning the family of dragons could potentially be swarmed very, very quickly.
They were not afraid to face a large number of foes, but it was best to get in and get out if the opportunity was still there.
So Ayaana needed to shut the doors for a little bit.
Soft chanting escaped her soft lips as a she concentrated on the spell building between her fingertips.
The underworld was a big realm, so she had to use a rather complex spell to cover all of it.
Normally this wouldn't have taken them very long at all, but with Bekka with Abaddon, and Tatiana back at home, the girls weren't operating anywhere near their full power.
Not to mention that the seals weren't exactly making things a whole lot better either...
When Ayaana finally finished charging her spell; a small metal lock formed in her hand. The same kind used on lockers in high school.
Smiling to herself, she clicked the metal rod closed and watched the magic happen.
A soft blue barrier soon covered every square inch of the Greek underworld.
Chiron ended up running his boat right smack into the barrier and bouncing off it like a big woman at a house party.
The portal conjured by Hades sputtered as if it were under a bad connection.
It wasn't long before the integrity of the portal broke down and the entire thing collapsed.
However, Ayaana wasn't able to get it closed before a single person jumped through.
She was a large woman in Greek robes standing at over eight feet in height.
She had long, dark brown hair that fell to the floor in a French braid, and possessed a powerful yet slender physique.
Ayaana had no idea who this woman was, but she knew by her aura alone that she was laying eyes on her first titan.
"Well... The dragons are smaller than I thought they would be. Perhaps I will not need my brother after all."
