Shye expected to easily overwhelm Siegfried after his attribute upgrades but who would've thought that it would still be a hard fight for him?

His opponent, Siegfried, seems to be very proficient in a lot of combat techniques and he also seems to have a lot of experience in duels.

In addition to this, Siegfried's attacks were always sharp, concise, and lethal. It was like he could always attack his opponent's vital spots from any angle in any circumstance.

Due to how hard the fight was, Shye couldn't help but imagine what would happen if he fought Siegfried in the winners' finals that day.

He would have probably been smoked by Siegfried on their first encounter. Luckily for him, Siegfried chose to give him the win which gave him more time to prepare

*PAH* *PAH* *PAH* *PAH* *BANG*

The two of them clashed more than twenty times before Shye managed to land a kick which sent Siegfried flying.

"Hahahahaha! Nice kick! Again!"

This time, Siegfried charged in with a plan. He baited Shye to attack first before slashing his longsword forward in an attempt to face Shye's wooden greatsword head-on.

The move left Shye confused and he blanked out since he couldn't think of the reason why Siegfried did this.

In the end, he just chose to go through with the head-on clash.

Just after he decided to go through with the clash, Siegfried suddenly activated a skill...

[Power Slash Lv.2]

*BANG*

"CROWLEY!!!"

"Captain!!"

"HAHAHAHAHA! I like you more and more, Crowley! I agree, let's end this!"

The two warriors immediately assumed their battle stances. Siegfried seemed to know what Shye was planning so instead of charging forward, he stood his ground as he waited for Shye's charge.

Siegfried's battle instincts were a hundred percent correct as Shye immediately activated his [Dash Lv.1] skill to instantly arrive in front of Siegfried.

"Read you like a book, CROWLEY!!!"

Both warriors activated [Power Slash Lv.2] at the same time and just as their swords were about to clash against each other, Siegfried activated his trump card [Ethereal Sword Lv.1].

His sword phased through Shye's sword and since he was using a longsword, his sword would hit Shye one second earlier.

"I've won!" Siegfried thought to himself.

A wild grin appeared on Shye's face as he also activated his trump card [Stoic Lv.1]

*PAH*

Upon hitting Shye, Siegfried's longsword produced a dull sound that distracted him. He didn't feel the "solid hit" feeling that he usually feels after his sword phases through the opponent's sword.

His eyes widened after realizing that Shye seemed to have used a skill to reduce the damage of his skill and as a result, he wasn't able to finish Shye off.

"What an excellent move"

*BANG*

Shye's fully powered [Power Slash Lv.2] landed cleanly on Siegfried's shoulder and he was sent flying out of the stage, unconscious.

Cheers erupted from the crowd as Shye snatched victory once again from the jaws of defeat.
