Chapter 92: Easy Peasy

Shye wanted to tell her that there was no way anybody could stand up to her right now but he didn't want to rain on her parade so he simply kept his mouth shut and let his little sister enjoy herself.

After another half an hour, Maia's name was finally called.

"Examinee number 21, Maia Crowley, Examinee number 57, Jeremy Fern, please proceed to sparring grounds number ten for your first round match."

Maia looked at her big brother with a big smile on her face before sprinting off to sparring grounds number ten.

Shye couldn't help but chuckle at his little sister's antics, the little battle maniac was absolutely enjoying this with no nervousness or anxiousness whatsoever.

Of course, he, as the big brother, walked towards sparring grounds number ten to watch how his little sister would beat the crap out of her first opponent.

Upon arriving, the crowd naturally moved aside to clear a way for him so Shye felt embarrassed due to the special treatment he was getting and he couldn't help but inwardly sigh.

"Oh well, it seems that I would just have to get used to this kind of treatment"

Shye thought to himself as he crossed his arms over his chest to focus on Maia's match. He estimated that Maia's opponent wouldn't even last 20 seconds against her.

"Begin!"

Once the referee announced the start of the match, Maia immediately disappeared from where she stood and suddenly reappeared behind her opponent.

*BANG*

Maia quickly struck the back of her opponent's neck with all of her strength which made her opponent fall unconscious in a single hit.

Everybody except Shye who saw what happened broke out in a cold sweat. They couldn't believe that an entrance examinee could be so strong.

On the other hand, in the eyes of the more inexperienced combatants such as the other examinees, all they knew was that Maia was strong but they didn't know to what extent.

The other seeded examinees who saw her match had serious looks on their faces as they looked at Maia.

"Hoh? This girl isn't bad at all, do you know her?"

"Heh, I heard this one is Shye Crowley's little sister. We can use her to prove to the world that we are more talented than Shye Crowley."

Shye almost choked on his saliva after hearing his little sister's "sincere rant", he truly couldn't think of where his little sister got this kind of attitude toward fighting.

Still, he answered her truthfully.

"Well, the first three matches are always against the weaker opponents but don't worry, you'll fight the strong guys soon as long as you keep on advancing..."

Maia's eyes sparkled with anticipation after hearing what his big brother said, she really hoped that someone could give her a nice fight soon.

Finally, after fifteen minutes, her name was called again for her fourth-round match, this time, against a seeded examinee.

"Examinee number 14, Razzie Han, Examinee number 21, Maia Crowley, please proceed to sparring grounds number five for your fourth round match!"

After hearing the announcement, Shye smiled at Maia and said "Oh? It seems like you would be fighting the fourteenth-ranked seeded examinee this time"

As a response, Maia simply nodded at him with an excited expression on her face before sprinting off towards sparring ground number five.

Upon arriving, Maia saw her opponent, Razzie, looking at her with a serious look on his face.

Razzie already knew that Maia was absurdly strong after watching a few of her past matches so he planned to go all out from the beginning.

In addition to this, he heard some rumors that his opponent was the little sister of the legendary Shye Crowley so he didn't dare let his guard down against her.

On the other hand, Maia didn't give a single shit about everything that's happening around her. She simply assumed her battle stance with a battle-crazed expression on her face.

"Begin!"

Right after the referee announced the start of the match, Razzie used his only skill [Blink Strike Lv.1] to suddenly appear behind Maia and take her out in one hit.

Unfortunately, his delusions were easily crushed by Maia as he was sent flying after being kicked squarely in his abdomen.

"Kuhaahkk..."

Razzie was sent flying to the edge of the sparring grounds and before he could even get up, Maia was already in front of him holding her dagger close to his throat.

"Enough! Maia Crowley wins this match and proceeds to the quarterfinals!"
