Two adventurers walked towards the exit of the intermediate adventurer zone with contrasting emotions.
One adventurer was obviously in a good mood while the other one was depressed.
The two adventurers were naturally Shye and Wendy who were on their way out of the intermediate adventurer zone after hunting continuously for a few days.
Shye was happy because he unexpectedly achieved three things within a few days.
First, he managed to complete all of his solo junior requirement quests, second, he managed to finally save up enough system points to purchase a talent and lastly, he unexpectedly got some lesser enchantment jades inside the Jadepaw Grizzly's lair.
In contrast, Wendy was utterly depressed because she didn't want to go back inside the Colzen Monastery.
Unfortunately, she knew that to become a respected adventurer in the future and do whatever she wanted, she had to graduate from Colzen Monastery whether she liked it or not.
After another hour of walking, the two of them finally arrived in front of Colzen Monastery.
"So this is what a monastery looks like huh?"
Shye thought to himself as he observed Colzen Monastery with intrigue.
The place was huge and spacious, however, in contrast to Colzen Academy, the monastery didn't have a single decoration which gave it an ancient but holy vibe.
"Haaaaah..."
His thoughts were cut short after hearing a depressed sigh beside him so he couldn't help but look at Wendy.
Upon seeing her face which somehow radiates utter depression even though it was as cold as ever, Shye couldn't help but inwardly chuckle at her antics.
After partying with her during the past few days, he knew that Wendy was the most stubborn person he ever met.
Once she decides to do something, it would be hard to convince her to do something else.
"WENDY!"
An angry voice sounded from inside the monastery which made Wendy flinch.
He knew that the archpriest was suspecting him of ruining Wendy.
"Y-Your excellency, the two of us met by accident! I saw her getting chased by a Steelfeather Ostrich so I decided to help her and take her along with me to complete a few quests before escorting her back to Colzen Monastery."
Veins popped at the corners of Archpriest Deo's head after hearing that Wendy went inside the intermediate adventurer zone.
No wonder they couldn't find her anywhere in the city!
The archpriest then looked towards Wendy with a menacing glare before saying:
"Go inside, you'll have a lot of explaining to do."
Wendy, who had no choice but to face the wrath of the archpriest, bid Shye goodbye before entering the monastery in a depressed state.
Just as Shye thought that he would be reprimanded, Archpriest Deo slightly bowed towards him and said:
"Crowley, I apologize for my rudeness. I would like to thank you for saving Wendy so if you're willing to receive a permanent blessing, I am willing to use one of our permanent blessing scrolls as a token of gratitude."
"Although our permanent blessing scrolls are of low quality, they would at least aid you in your future endeavors."
Shye, who didn't expect to benefit from this situation, was in seventh heaven after hearing that the archpriest would reward him with a permanent blessing.
The reason why he was so happy is because a permanent blessing is one of the things that would raise the ceiling of one's maximum potential as an adventurer.
How? Well, a permanent blessing only has benefits and no disadvantages.
An example of a permanent blessing's effect is to raise one's affinity in gaining specific attributes, let's say agility.
A blessing of lesser agility would enable a person to gain one additional agility point for every five points of improvement and of course, the higher the quality of the scroll, the greater the effects.
However, what makes a permanent blessing so desirable is that it stacks with other permanent blessings and there are no limits to the number of permanent blessings an adventurer can receive.
As long as one can obtain lots of permanent blessings, then one can even escape from the fate of mediocrity.
As for Shye, this would be the first time he would receive a permanent blessing so he enthusiastically followed Archpriest Deo to the blessing chamber inside Colzen Monastery to receive his first permanent blessing.
