'That should be enough to make me look like a mage...right?' Shye wondered as he sauntered out of the restroom and the branch headquarters.
"Shye! I'm over here!"
A loud voice resounded from his right, prompting him to turn his head and walk toward its direction.
"Haaah...It's alright. I understand why it took you so long to come out of the restroom." Seira suddenly sighed, causing Shye to knit his brows in confusion. "Must've been a pretty massive dump huh? It's alright no need to be shy about it. Well then, shall we go?"
Hearing her words, Shye couldn't help but snap this time.
"Hey! Don't just blurt out nasty words like that! Also, I didn't take a dump! I just made a few preparations for the quest!" He exclaimed in anger, causing people who were passing by to turn their heads towards him.
Luckily, they were merely startled by his loud voice, and none of them actually heard what he or Seira had said.
"Hmmm...preparations...huh?" Seira said, shooting a knowing glance toward Shye. "Whatever you say. Let's go, the Drokka Advanced Adventurer Zone is quite far from here and we only have 9 days to complete the quest. We have no time to lose."
After uttering words that did nothing but infuriate Shye, Seira proceeded to stroll towards the Drokka Advanced Adventurer Zone, whistling a cheerful tune, seemingly unconcerned.
As for Shye, he was left clenching his fists and gnashing his teeth in fury.
'This midget....' Shye inwardly insulted, taking one deep breath to calm his heart.
Never had he met such an infuriating woman.
His anger quickly subsided though as such shallow matters didn't warrant actual hate.
Once he finished calming himself down, Shye followed the grape-haired midget who was acting like a party leader.
During their journey to the Drokka Advanced Adventurer Zone, Shye found himself more frequently angered by Seira than by all other individuals combined throughout his entire life.
However, for some reason, he just couldn't hate her.
By the time the two of them arrived in the vast lobby of the Drokka Advanced Adventurer Zone, her anger had already subsided.
Well, provided that Shye wouldn't laugh again, which he didn't, as he didn't want to push too far in teasing her.
"Wait, I almost forgot. Let me check the condition of my greatsword." Seira said, taking out a greatsword almost as big as Shye's from her spatial bag.
'Hmm...so she's a greatsword user like me huh...' Shye mused, as he took out the gold tier elemental staff he looted from the weapon treasure chest in the somber tomb. "If I'm going to master the mage class next, then I should probably upgrade it to at least a low-grade relic."
Lost in his thoughts, Shye was brought back to reality by Seira's subsequent words.
"Uhh, hey, Shye. Will you enter the zone like that?"
"Huh? Like what?" responded Shye, confusion written all over his face.
"I mean, don't you have mage robes or something? Why are you wearing casual clothes? Oh, I see! Are those customized mage robes?" Seira replied, answering her own question.
'Crap! I forgot to buy mage robes!' Shye inwardly cursed, his face twitching as he decided to go with Seira's excuse. "U-Uhh...yeah! This is customized mage robes but I will probably purchase a new set as this one is pretty worn out..."
"Hmm...Alright then, finish up your preparations, I'm almost done here."
"I'm ready."
"Let's go then."
After making sure that both of them were ready, the duo walked towards the guards, showed their guild badges, and entered the adventurer zone with slight smiles on their faces.
This would be their first time partying up so they didn't know how capable the other was, however, both of them were confident in their own abilities.
Displaying the poise of a seasoned mage, Shye grasped his gold-tier elemental staff in his right hand, mimicking the stride of Harry and David with an amused smile adorning his face.
'Hehehe...the legend of Shye Crowley, the mage super rookie, shall now begin!'
