As the serene yet chilling dusk approached, two young adventurers ambled along a well-trodden path.
The ashen-haired young man had a slight smile, visibly in a good mood even though his pants were soiled with green blood.
On the other hand, the smol grape-haired young woman had the expression of a diehard fan, enthusiastically jumping around Shye as she reenacted his finishing move like an excited child.
Naturally, Shye appreciated such merry antics, further improving his mood.
They were lucky that the Boarger's final physical enhancement skill improved its flesh's toughness, allowing them to harvest the quest items.
Otherwise, they would be pulling their hairs out in frustration as they had to find another Winged Boarger to slay if Shye's spell onslaught destroyed the fallen creature's body.
He had to admit, what he did was quite overkill.
The two of them started the hunt early, unfortunately, the side birch forest was quite far from the zone's entrance, hence, they had to head towards the nearby safe zone and camp there for the night.
After walking for around half an hour, Shye and Seira arrived at a clearing where four adventurer parties established their camps for the night.
'Hmm... this safe zone seems quite renowned, doesn't it? Well, with such an expansive clearing, it does appear to be the most ideal camp location.' Shye inwardly thought, claiming an empty spot quite a few meters away from other parties.
Unexpectedly, Seira refrained from approaching them to negotiate, instead opting to help Shye establish their camp faster.
Witnessing her actions, Shye smiled satisfactorily.
Yesterday's dark events seemed to have worked wonders for Seira.
Even though she didn't have a system like he did, Shye was sure that Seira's wisdom attribute increased by quite a lot, proven by the fact that she now realized her previous antics of trusting others to watch over her while she slept were truly a wee bit careless and stupid.
Unfortunately, it didn't mean that others wouldn't approach them.
Shortly after, a body hurtled through the air—limp and unconscious.
"Goro!!"
"Boss Goro!!" The party members exclaimed worriedly, they couldn't believe that their fierce and aggressive leader got knocked the sh*t out by a single slap.
"Hahahaha! I told you, idiots! You shouldn't have challenged my boss or you'll regret it!" Seira said victoriously, her nervousness—completely gone.
Goro's party members weren't convinced though.
In their opinion, Shye only managed to defeat Goro since he sneak attacked him, if not for that, then it was impossible for this young man to defeat their fierce, aggressive, and skilled party leader.
Due to their borderline blind faith in their party leader who had just been slapped to oblivion, the party members' decisions were clouded.
Normally, after the boss is defeated, the underlings don't dare fight back, however, in this case, they even dared threaten Shye and Seira, taking their weapons out and aiming them at the two.
"Hoh? Your boss only dared kick me and that's why I only slapped him. I'm just reminding you, if you dare swing your blades or fire your projectiles at me, I'll take that as you trying to take my life. Should you do that, I'll take yours so decide carefully." Shye said in a cold threat, gazing at the party in front of him in a menacing yet calm manner.
He wasn't scared of their boss so why would he be scared of a bunch of clowns?
He didn't want to kill but if they tried to kill him then he wouldn't hesitate to kill them back—an eye for an eye: a new principle he decided to live by.
Fortunately, his ferocious front reminded the party members of their boss, allowing logic to regain control of their minds again.
Ultimately, Goro's party members decided to back down, intimidated by Shye's fierce resistance.
"Y-You better watch your back, you arrogant prick. Someday, you'll get what's coming for you!" threatened one of Goro's party members before turning back, picking their unconscious boss up, and dragging him back to their camp like defeated dogs.
Meanwhile one of the other party leaders with curly black short hair rubbed his chin, looking at Shye and Seira with keen interest.
"Hoh? Raven's Blade huh?"
