Chapter 296: Goblin Bosses Makes Their Move

*SPURT!*

"GHIIIHK!!"

A loud, high-pitched growl resounded across the forest as a slender yet muscular green arm hurtled through the air, landing on the ground a few tens of meters away from Shye.

The Goblin Assassin, not expecting the other, dying human to suddenly stand up and charge at it, was caught off guard.

It got a little too excited and forced the issue as it ruthlessly stabbed at Shye's neck, thinking that it would obtain a huge reward for slaying the mighty male human. Exclusive content from m,v lem|p,yr

Unfortunately, this overexcitement led to its downfall, allowing Seira the chance to cleanly slice its right arm off.

She then swiftly pivoted her feet and lunged at the disoriented Goblin Assassin, grabbing it by the head and slamming it on the ground.

*CRACK*

A warrior's strength attribute is no joke, hence, as the goblin's skull touched the ground, a nauseating crack echoed across the clearing.

Shortly after, its entire skull crumbled, exploding into smaller pieces as green blood splattered violently on the ground.

"Boss! I've recovered!" Seira exclaimed vigorously, the previous traces of fear on her face—gone

Seeing her now bright disposition, appearing as though they weren't in the middle of a dangerous situation, a slight smile graced the corners of Shye's mouth.

'Hoh, that expression looks good.' Shye inwardly praised. "Nice! Hold these bastards off temporarily for me, I'll murk those little shits hiding at the back!"

"Got it!"

After a short conversation, Seira jumped in front while Shye retreated, swapping one of the greatswords in his hands with an elemental staff.

"Now that my ultimate skill is off cooldown, you all can die!"

'Gravitational Drain!'

Without the slightest signs, a modest-sized black core emerged in the middle of the goblin army who was watching the goblin party's impeccable teamwork.

If humans were also naturally stronger than monstrous creatures, then the said creatures would've been extinct or endangered by now.

Still, although at a disadvantage, Shye was pretty happy with the results of the clash.

As long as he could take a few hits from the Goblin Chieftain, then he would have the chance to slay it.

Unfortunately for him, the Goblin High Shaman also decided to make its move, summoning four large, bluish-transparent spirit wolves, ordering two of them to attack Shye.

The green bastard then spammed its [Mana Blast Lv.5] skill, rapidly firing blue orbs that modestly exploded upon contact.

These small mana blasts weren't powerful enough to instantly kill an individual, however, if one was squarely hit, then one would at least suffer a moderate injury.

Naturally, all these additional factors made things extremely hard for Shye.

Flying mana balls, pouncing spirit wolves, and a ferocious and aggressive Goblin Chieftain made it impossible for Shye to help Seira, who was slowly being overwhelmed by the remaining eight goblins—three elites and five "adventurers".

Earlier, she learned from Shye that allowing the goblins to maneuver behind her would spell her doom.

Hence, hard as it was, she fought ferociously to keep them in front of her.

Only, she was slowly getting cornered and if nothing was done, she would surely succumb to the overwhelming goblin assault.

'Tch, it's a little early but...'

*FWOOSH!*

A pair of transparent-gray, rotten wings emerged on Shye's back, spreading majestically and exuding an aura of fallen regality.

Then, shortly after, an ear-piercing, horrifying howl of myriad pitches reverberated across the clearing, sending chills down the goblins' spine and causing a few goblins to enter a chaotic state of utter fear and confusion.

Shye, expecting this to happen, swiftly made his move, vigorously flapping his wings to instantly appear in front of the confused goblins who were assaulting Seira.

*SPURT!* *SPURT!* *SPURT!*

Five confused and fearful green heads instantly separated from their bodies and rolled on the ground, causing the headless bodies to shake violently and fall to the ground—violently convulsing as filthy green blood splattered across the ground.

The five "adventurer" goblins...now lay lifeless atop dirt and debris.
