"Boss!! Boss Rain!!" Darter urgently screamed, bringing a frown upon Captain Rain's face.
"Shut the fuck up! Darter! Didn't I tell you to stop acting like a wuss?! You're going to give our squad a bad name! Do it one more time and I'll punish you myself!" Rain exclaimed angrily, causing Darter to tremble in fear and panic.
"I-I apologize boss. Reporting to the captain, someone managed to track down one of our men and is now invading our lair from the right entrance in hopes of wiping all of us out!"
"Who from which incompetent squad messed up?! How strong is the intruder?!"
Rain was utterly infuriated.
He's aware that their entire group could be obliterated by just one diamond-ranked adventurer or higher, which is why they've always been exceedingly cautious when it comes to abducting young girls for their boss.
"Reporting to the captain. The young female intruder is slightly stronger than Vice-Captain Ice, which is why he requested your backup!"

Hearing Darter's subsequent words, the rage in Rain's heart promptly vanished—replaced by a hint of excitement.
"Oh? A young female intruder? How old is she?"
"Around twenty-three to twenty-four years old, captain!"
"Hohoh? Hohohoh? And she's alone?"
"Yes, captain! The intruder said that she was called Seira and that she would be the one who would wipe all of us out!"
"BAHAHAHAHAHA! What an idiot. Go, lead the way. I'll teach this young idiotic woman how the world works."
Noticing that his captain's mood had turned for the better, Darter heaved a sigh of relief before enthusiastically leading the way.
He was quite new to the group and he wanted to see the prowess of the captain, hence, he felt excited.
Arriving at the chaotic scene where Ice was visibly beaten up along with a few of their squad members who were already unconscious, Rain couldn't help but narrow his eyes.
Not feeling the satisfying sensation of his dagger cutting through flesh, the satisfied expression on Rain's face turned into one of confusion.
Regrettably, he didn't react fast enough as Seira's greatsword was already on the way back.
Seeing her opponent unable to dodge or block, Seira panicked, torn over whether to kill Rain or not.
Shye immediately realized that Seira was having internal struggles over killing someone for the first time, and he was tempted to shout, "Kill him!"
However, should he do so, their entire plan would go down the drain.
Hence, Shye was forced to watch on as Seira indecisively tilted her greatsword's body.
Ultimately though, her determination to grow and shed every trace of naivety won out, leading her to adjust her blade once more at the final moment.
"HRAAAAAAGH!!"
*SPURT!*
Scarlet blood fountained as Rain's head hurtled through the air, his eyes wide open as the severed head landed and rolled a few meters near Seira's feet.
"H-HWAAAAAAA!!!" Seira couldn't help but scream and tremble in horror upon realizing that she had actually taken someone's life with her own hands. "BLEEEURGH!!"
Vomit spurted out of Seira's mouth as she swayed left and right, feeling weak in the knees.
Shye felt bad for her, however, at the same time, he felt proud.
Following this experience, although she might still appear foolish and inexperienced to others, she wouldn't be, as taking someone's life for the first time would change something within her and she would be way sharper when it came to life and death matters.
Inwardly praising her for a job well done, Shye took the lead in inciting panic amongst the bandits.
"C-CAPTAIN RAIN!! F*CK! I'M OUTTA HERE!" Shye exclaimed before running deeper into the lair.
Witnessing his actions, the other bandits, including Ice, ran for their lives, hoping to ask the other bandit captains to deal with the invader who just killed their captain, Rain Faust.
