Spirit Plantation Field
Spirit Quarry
Felix gazed at the shopping menu screen, curious. Each was sold for 100,000 years of lifespan, which Felix could amass in two or three days of flame bathing.
The plantation field reminded Felix of the little farm game that he hadn't checked for a long time. He wondered if the goblin girl and the farmer dude had grown old and died yet.
His ADHD kicked in. Getting sidetracked, Felix opened a new window screen and checked the people that he had neglected.
The screen showed a large farm and a family of… seven.
Terris sat on the porch, watching his grown children working on the field. His wife, Gelda, was busy cradling her youngest baby. As for the rest of the five children, they were already teenagers, and they worked on the farm, removing the grasses and deforesting.
Felix inspected Terris' condition. He looked thinner than the last time he saw him. His eyes seemed weary, and the black area under his eyes gave a clue about his nightlife.
As for Gelda, she appeared healthy and blissful. Her skin reflected the sunlight, shiny and glossy as always.
Felix nodded in approval. He could tell that Terris changed his career from a farmer to a breeder.
Rewarding Terris' hard work, Felix sent him a kilogram of dragon meat, some energy potions, and leftover healing potions that he had gotten from mystery crates.
A mountain of packages landed in front of Terris' house. The man jumped up from his chair and prostrated. He uttered an incomprehensible language as usual.
"BUBABABUBUBA!!"
Felix widely grinned and sent a message, apologizing for the past few days of absence, "I'll send you some more supplies and new crops to grow later. Sorry for the absence. I was like you, busy working."
Upon leaving the messages, Felix was satisfied. He closed the game and returned his attention to his wives.
"I'll be away for three or four days. I need to grind some lifespan as usual."
Jiji nodded in understanding, but Diana didn't know about the lifespan grinding routine. She raised a question.
"Grind some lifespan? Is that your system's ability?"
Felix realized that Diana was not his familiar, and she was oblivious to his system perks. He explained, "My system uses lifespan as a currency, and I have a way to increase it."
"How nice! Is the lifespan shareable?"
This made Felix pause. He immediately turned to Jessica, asking her with his expression.
Jessica knew what Felix wanted to ask. She sighed and revealed the truth.
<You can share lifespan with your familiars. In case one of your familiars dies, you may sacrifice a portion of your lifespan to resurrect them. But if you die, your familiars die with you. I, too, will also disappear from the universal database if the fate crystal inside you is destroyed.>
"That's more than what I really wanted to ask." Felix dryly laughed. He then relayed the answer to Diana.
Hearing about the familiar perks, Diana was interested. She probed Jessica and Felix, "Can you ask your AI if another system user like me can be your familiar?"
Reminded of the familiar contract, Felix remembered that his max level cap had been increased. In addition, his constitution and physique had been improved. He wondered if he could house another person in his system.

Jessica shrugged, <You can. But if the familiar is stronger than the master, it requires both parties' consent.>
"That won't be a problem," Felix laughed and gave Jessica a thumbs up.
Since making Diana familiar would warrant her trustworthiness, Felix had no issue with taking in the mischievous queen. He turned to Diana next.
"Will you be my familiar like your daughter so we can have a threesome someday?" Felix proposed.
Diana burst into laughter, "Yes, my king. If you want to, I'm ready to take you now."
On the other hand, Jiji almost laughed, but she covered her mouth and suppressed it. She complained, "Mother, please mind your manner. Master doesn't like doing it outdoors."
Felix wanted to argue that he didn't mind it, but he preferred beds over hard ground. When he and Jiji traveled together, a little grass blade scratched his skin while he was doing it with Jiji. Fortunately, the wound wasn't infected.
"Let's maintain the hygiene, Diana. No outdoor unless it's on the rooftop of our house."
Diana pursed her lips. While pouting, she urged Felix, "Let's finish it, then. I want to see what my king's system can do."
Felix nodded. He was also curious since it would be his first time making another system user familiar.
They started the ritual… by pressing a few system screen buttons.

*DING*
<Diana has been registered as your familiar.>
<Your familiar retains all her system abilities.>
<Diana has an inventory system. You can access her inventory menu if she stays in your system subspace.>
<Diana possesses a system. As a master, you can copy one system perk from your familiar at a price of one billion energy points or one billion points of mana.>
<Diana possesses a fate crystal of the same grade as you. She can help you manage your system features, such as alchemy, farming subspace, or system shop menu. You can enable or disable permission in the familiar management menu.>
There was a lot to unpack. But for the moment, Felix tested Diana on what she could do. He stored her in the system's subspace, letting her stay in a system window for the moment.
Diana entered the system screen with a cunning grin. As soon as she became one with Felix's system, she snooped around, checking his status menu, inventory slots, and other features.
Felix let her explore as she wished. He hopped on the truck and prepared to return home.
But as Felix was about to drive home, Jiji entered his system as well. He paused and frowned, wondering if the mother and daughter had a quarrel or something.
Both Jiji and Diana's system portraits emerged, and both seemed to be chatting. However, Felix couldn't hear their voices or see the message logs as if their sounds were muffled by the other dimension.
A minute later, Diana sighed deeply and talked to Felix.
"My king. You have so many good system features, but you haven't fully utilized them. Do you want me to manage your alchemy, oil derrick, and farming sim?"
Felix was delighted, "Yes, please. I need a manager."
"Alright. If you say so. By the way, about my wage," Diana giggled. "You have been pampering my daughter, I see. Well, this mother also desires your love. When you return, can I monopolize you for a day?"
Felix glanced at Jiji, asking for her approval.
Jiji finally showed an expression that he had never seen before, a facepalm motion and a worried look, "Mother, please mind your words and manner. Master has been busy, and he needs a lot of rest and care. If you demand him to pleasure you, I'm afraid he will be exhausted and collapse one day."
Diana retorted, "Meh, you're too uptight. Your mother is the senior here. Can't your mother be pampered like you? Talk about yourself, first! You see, I can now access the recorded videos and log files. I see you taking advantage of him when he looks like an adolescent teenager. You even used him when he was asleep! "
Jiji's face flushed, taken aback by the exposure. She awkwardly glanced at Felix, expressing her guilt.
Felix found the interaction cute. He waved his hand, cutting the family quarrel short, "Enough, girls. Let's do it this way. After I come back, we set a schedule. You two get to monopolize me two days a week. I get two days of rest and one threesome day. Are we happy?"
Both thirsty women stared at each other and humphed, reluctantly agreeing.
Felix laughed, satisfied with the ending. He drove back to the house to prepare for another three days of flame bathing again.
.
.
As it had been almost 10 days since the last global quest warning, remaining system users scrambled to finish their main quests.
Two of them accidentally confronted each other.
Martin hovered in the sky near the southern border, where the monster horde had marched past this area. He gazed at the south, where a humble fortress should have been.
Erecting in place of the fortress was an expansive castle and a large formation of star-shaped city walls. Similar to Felix's floating island, the castle levitated in the sky, and its anchors chained it to the ground.
In front of the flying castle, a pale man in black tuxedo clothes crossed his arms behind his back, floating in mid-air and preventing Martin from getting closer. His long pointy ears flapped as if they were wings.
Had Felix been with Martin, he would have recognized the man as he was one of the summoned Earthlings in the fateful throne room, where Felix murdered the king.
The pale man warned Martin, "Sir Magus, this castle belongs to the Demon God. This is a sensitive time for us. Please leave while we can still talk."
Martin glared at the pale man. He also argued, "If you're truly an Earthling like me, why are you stopping me from infiltrating the demon castle!? Can't you see that we can simply kill the demon god's mother before we get the forced quests, and we can continue living in peace?!"
"Forced quests? No, sir Magus. I see this as an opportunity. Let the quests happen, and we can win countless quest rewards from the higher entities. That's not all, sir. Can't you see that this world is so underdeveloped that it hurts to look? If we gather enough quest rewards, we can shape this world to our liking."
Martin snorted. He raised his staff, warning the mysterious pale man, "You must be new around here. I survived a scenario quest once, and it was not games and fun. Listen here, youngster. Not all system users can survive through all the scenario quests. This is the only opportunity we have! Kill the demon god's mother or the infant now, and we can think about your ambition later!"
"Sorry. I beg to differ."
As talking was unfruitful, Martin decided to teach the madman a lesson. Displaying the power of a magus, he created a grand spell, covering the entire demon god's castle and its fortress below.
It took only one second for the spell to complete. Without hesitation, Martin ordered the spell to strike. A billion holy swords manifested and rained upon the demon god's castle.
"NOOOO!!"
The pale man turned around, but it was too late for him to intervene. The swords already reached the castle.
At that moment, the man smirked, "Just kidding. Your power is useless anyway."
*TINK*
All holy swords froze in mid-air as if they hit an invisible dome. All energy weapons dissipated into nothingness, and a lightning bolt shot up from the barrier toward the magic circle in the sky.
*CLANK*
The magic circle shattered!
"W-What?!" Martin was taken aback. That was his ultimate move, which he had used to kill so many so-called demon lords in this world before. Yet, it was ineffective against this mysterious castle.
The pale man crossed his arms, laughing, "I told you. It's useless. Let's wait until the quests start, shall we?!"
"…"
