"You two, don't even think about escaping!" The two thugs ran up and saw the scene of Du and Qing pulling the child. Both held guns in their hands, warning them with words.
Du Ruqing's heart skipped a beat. Without saying a word, she held onto the child's hand and tried to pull him up. The child also tried his best to climb up the window. Just as he was about to slip out of the window, a thug shot him. It hit the child right in the back, right next to the heart.
"How are you?" The child felt a wave of pain, and his strength was disappearing. His thin lips gradually paled, and blood continued to flow out from his back. Du Liqing uneasily asked, and subconsciously closed the window, allowing the thugs outside to yell loudly.
"Big sister, I want to ask you for a favor." Du Liqing moved the upper body of the child into his arms. His eyes were filled with pain. However, the child's face revealed a carefree smile. He reached out his hand and put it in his pocket, struggling to open his mouth and ask Du Liqing for help.
Du Ruqing nodded seriously. Seeing that the thug outside the window was striking the glass with his gun, she felt very nervous. However, when she lowered her head to look at the child, her heart ached. Even though the thug outside was trying so hard to kick the door, she remained unmoved and didn't want to leave the child in front of her. She really wanted to take the child away, but she didn't have the ability to do so. His eyes were slightly red and his heart felt extremely uncomfortable.
"Please take good care of this jade pendant, sister!" The child took out a jade pendant from his pocket and placed it on Du Yun's green hand. He used all of his strength to push the pendant into her hand and stuttered out the words he said before his death.
Before Du Liqing could say anything else, the child's strength had been used up. His eyes were tightly shut and the hand holding the jade pendant collapsed to the side.
Du Yun's green hands tightly grabbed the jade pendant in his hands and wiped the tears from the corners of his eyes. Gritting her teeth, she laid the child's body flat on the ground. He stood up from the ground, staggering a little. Looking at the other window, he opened the window and jumped out while the thug was kicking open the door.
Coincidentally, there was a small boat outside the window. There was only the sound of the wind in her ears, and her sore eyes were filled with tears. A loud shout came from behind her, but she didn't hear anything. Just as the thug was firing a shot, Du Liqing fell onto the boat and dodged it.
Du Liqing was holding onto the oars on the boat and rowing with all his might. He didn't want to be caught, so she was rowing with all her might. Every strike exhausted all her strength, forcing her to pant heavily, but she was unable to stop.
The people chasing after Du Liqing all rushed to another boat and started to row with their oars. Du Liqing was a woman bought by the Great Master, so they naturally couldn't lose her. Thus, they had no choice but to bring her back unscathed and let the current manager handle her.
"Second Boss, that woman fled with a child!" One of his subordinates quickly ran to the main courtyard to find the second in command. Looking at the Great Master with a white cloth draped over his shoulders, he could not help but reveal this situation.
The second brother looked at the hand with sweat trickling down his forehead and frowned slightly. Just as he was about to give some instructions, Lu Juyan walked in from the front door and said coldly, "Let her go!"
"Alright!" When the Second Manager saw this extraordinary Lu Juyan, he knew that he didn't care about this woman at all. Naturally, he agreed to her request. However, they would not let out that anger in their hearts. They would only take back all their old debts after they recuperate.
Lu Juyan didn't thank them, but simply turned and left the place. Smiling, he took his cell phone out of his pocket and sent a message to Jhai, asking him to open his things at the exit.
He rushed to the exit and looked at the large ship that Jie had prepared, nodding in satisfaction. He stepped onto the stairs that led to the landing and climbed up in two steps. He walked towards the direction of the ship, glanced at Jazzy, and then ordered coldly, "Find out where Du Liqing is."
Standing to one side, Zhan Zhen followed orders and stood on the boat's path. He took something out of his pocket and inserted it into a hole. The screen instantly changed. He tapped the screen with his fingertip and started searching carefully.
After Jie Yan had finished his investigation, Lu Juyan started to retract the stairs that led to the landing and turned the boat around to head in the direction of Du Ruqing. Moving the rudder forward, they soon met Du Liqing, who was driving a small boat.
"Cyan!" Lu Juyan called out Du Liqing's name, his tone filled with urgency. The joy of not seeing him for a few days gushed out in an instant. He was so excited that he did not know what to do.
When Du Liqing heard the call, he stopped his paddling posture and turned to look at Lu Juyan, his heart overflowing with emotion. A sense of security she had never felt before made her completely forget the dangers around her as she followed Lu Juyan's line of sight.
"Get on my boat!" Lu Juyan's brow creased slightly as he looked at the ship chasing Du Liqing. Without a second word, he pressed the button to go down the stairs and quickly ran over. He extended his hand to give Du Liqing a hand so that she could come up.
Du Liqing's heart skipped a beat when he saw the sliding waves and he immediately placed his hand on Lu Juyan's. The warmth of her palm made her cheeks redden. She unconsciously lowered her head and pretended to look at the floor on the stairs.
"Why are you here?" Du Ruqing looked at the boat as it moved faster and faster. He knew in his heart that it was no longer in danger, so he breathed a sigh of relief. His hands, aching from rowing for so long, withdrew from Lu Juyan's palms and placed on either side of him. Looking around the vast coastline, he asked subconsciously.
"It's my part-time job to take this boat to meet tourists." Lu Juyan felt his hands go empty, and felt a faint sense of loss in his heart. He walked forward and brought her to an empty cabin. He didn't place his gaze on her for fear of being suspected of lying.
Du Liqing looked at Lu Juyan's back and pursed his lips, not feeling too much suspicion. She watched as he pushed open the door to the side and followed him inwards.
She looked at the spacious cubicle. The lighting was very good, and she liked it. She could not help but walk around the room. When she turned around and saw Lu Juyan walking leisurely towards her with a piece of clothing in his hand, she had a bit of doubt in her heart.
"This was left behind by someone else." Lu Juyan looked at Du Ruqing's red wedding dress. Although it was quite pretty, it wasn't for him. In order to prevent Du Ruqing from suspecting that he deliberately prepared this shirt, he could only open his mouth to lie again. He then met Du Ruqing's gaze and helplessly rubbed the bridge of his nose.
