"Damn it, that bastard Jiang Ming retreated into the Central District and even obtained a store for himself." A middle-aged man said as he slammed the table.
The servant behind him was frightened as he quickly walked over to rearrange the teacup that was spilled over.
The middle-aged man ignored the servant as he glanced at the person sitting in the center.
The person in the center was none other than the patriarch of the Ming Family, Kong Ming.
Kong Ming rubbed his temples slightly as he stared at the middle-aged man. "Then what is Elder Zhou suggesting we should do?"
Elder Zhou tapped the table lightly. "We should head over to the Central District and take control of that bastard's store. I heard the emperor had personally given the store a token of recognition."
The other elders sitting in the meeting nodded their heads in unison.
"Elder Zhou is correct. Without us, that brat wouldn't even be able to live this far."
"Hmph, and that woman also dared to escape the Ming Family with him secretly. Not only that, but she had also killed our guards who tried to stop them."
"They really think our Ming Family is easy to bully so we need to teach them a lesson."
Elder Zhou laughed inwardly when all the elders supported his decision.
He stood up and cupped his fist. "Patriarch Kong Ming, this is our chance to enter the Central District with a legitimate excuse and we can also own property there."
Kong Ming nodded his head. "Elder Zhou is correct. The Moon Bazaar belongs to us and this is our family affair so the imperial guards cannot intervene."
"Then it's decided, tomorrow morning, we will head over to the Central District and demand that brat to hand over the ownership and his house."
The meeting ended there as everyone left happily while thinking of their status being improved.
Meanwhile, back in Jiang Ming's house, Jiang Ming was calmly laying in a bed next to Yang Liqin.
"Are you really not going to the Haze Forest?" Yang Liqin asked as she clutched onto his clothes.
"I already said it multiple times, aunt. I'm not going there anytime soon." Jiang Ming chuckled as he reassured her.
He wasn't confident enough to leave Yang Liqin to deal with their incoming enemies.
"I needed to be sure." Yang Liqin rolled her eyes as she laid her head in Jiang Ming's chest.
Jiang Ming smiled as they soon went to bed.
When the sun started blinding Jiang Ming, he woke up in a blissful mood as he pecked Yang Liqin's sleeping face before getting up.
Jiang Ming closed the curtains in the room to block the sunlight from hitting Yang Liqin.
As he began to walk out, Jiang Ming was suddenly informed by Chen Zhiqiang.
"Master, there are a bunch of people outside the Central District claiming to be from your family."
Jiang Ming grinned as he was thinking when they would barge in. "Seems like those old fogeys couldn't wait any longer."
"Chen Zhiqiang, make them wait outside until I say you can let them inside." Jiang Ming then said.
"Understood master." Chen Zhiqiang's voice sounded as he closed his communication device.
Jiang Ming laughed evilly as he wondered how to torture the Ming Family more.
"They probably want to steal the Moon Bazaar and given their rotten personality, they would want my house as well." Jiang Ming mumbled softly.
"Who are those people, master?" Xue Daiyu suddenly revealed herself as she asked.
"When would you stop eavesdropping on my conversation?"
"Master knows I'm here and you could have easily prevented me from listening in.
Xue Daiyu shrugged her shoulders as she floated around Jiang Ming.
"Have you been practicing the cultivation technique?" Jiang Ming asked as he took a seat.
"Un, I have been practicing every day." Xue Daiyu nodded her head. "Now tell me master, are those people trying to steal your property?"
"Most likely that would be the case. After all, they aren't influential enough to come into the Central District but they could use me as an excuse now."
"Anyway, you should continue practicing since you need to become stronger." Jiang Ming added as he waved his hand.
Xue Daiyu made a pouting expression before vanishing from sight.
"Nhn, Jiang Ming?" Yang Liqin woke up as she glanced at him.
Jiang Ming stood up as he walked over to her and gave her a kiss. "Aunt, some imbeciles are waiting outside in the Central District."
"Those bastards from the Ming Family?" Yang Liqin's expression darkened as she easily connected the dot.
Jiang Ming became suspicious when he saw her expression changed. "Aunt, be honest with me. What did Kong Ming do to you?"
Yang Liqin shuddered as she realized her slip of the tongue. She didn't mean to call the Ming Family members bastard in front of Jiang Ming.
She tried to avert her gaze from him but it only made them more suspicious and Jiang Ming wasn't one to let it go.
"You better be honest with me, Yang Liqin." Jiang Ming said in a stern tone.
Yang Liqin sighed softly as she nodded her head.
"Promise me you won't be angry at me. I was simply doing this to make sure you live well."
Jiang Ming nodded his head and held her hand.
Yang Liqin took a few moments before speaking. "Kong Ming was a vile bastard. He had tried to violate me on multiple occasions using you as a threat."
Suddenly, she paused her words for a brief moment when she could feel Jiang Ming's aura increasing.
"Don't worry- I'm smart enough to not give him a chance to do so. Although I needed his help to give you refuge, there was no way I would spread my leg to someone like him." She hurriedly explained.
Jiang Ming wanted to ask why she was keeping these things to herself until he realized it was pointless when the reason was obvious.
"You had it tough, aunt." Jiang Ming then said as he hugged her. "It's time for you to take it easy and allow me to shoulder these things."
