Yang Liqin clasped her hand, brushing off the soil on her palm when she was uprooting the Seven Night Star Flower.
With her objective completed, Yang Liqin began to ponder where she should head to.
Of course, she could go and find Jiang Ming with the help of the Pearl Necklace, but she didn't want to. Since Jiang Ming hadn't tried to contact her, then it must have meant that he was busy with something.
Hence, she would gently wait for his contact and use this time to gather resources on his behalf.
BOOM!
Yang Liqin's thoughts were interrupted when a loud explosion occurred nearby.
"Huh? That Wen Jun person is still alive?" Yang Liqin was shocked by his determination to survive.
According to her calculation, Wen Jun should have been half-dead by now and was ready to be devoured alive by the Cannibal Octo.
It wasn't that she was being heartless about the situation, but this was the reality of a cultivation world.
She had no obligation to save a person she had no relationship with. Not to mention, Wen Jun had previously tried to reap the benefits while she was occupied, so it was only right that Yang Liqin wouldn't care about his life. Yang Liqin was about to take another path to retreat until she felt a slight fluctuation coming directly to her.
She narrowed her eyes and raised her palm. A transparent barrier was then created as it deflected a strike.
Yang Liqin's expression was ice-cold under the mask as she twisted her neck a little bit to relax some nerves.
"Originally, I didn't plan on interfering, but you just had to go and attack me huh?" She muttered in a calm tone. Though it was more like the calm before the storm.
She stepped toward the edge of the platform and within her vision was a disgusting smirk from Wen Jun.
"Hmph, if I'm going down anyway, then I'll gladly bring you down with me. I don't care if you're really a mysterious expert or not, but that's the price for scheming against us." Wen Jun snorted coldly the moment he noticed Yang Liqin's glance.
Even if she had the mask on her face, the killing intent emitting from Yang Liqin was deadly enough for him to realize it.
"You see… for messing with me when you don't even know who you're dealing with is the biggest mistake." Yang Liqin replied calmly. She unleashed her spiritual qi, and the shockwave alone caused the lake to vaporize in an instant.
The Cannibal Octo was baffled by the sheer prowess as its tentacle shivered in fear. It didn't even dare to make a move as it cowered at a corner, unwilling to even utter a single sound.
As for Wen Jun, his pupils were wide open as he stared at Yang Liqin in horror.
It was at this point that Wen Jun knew, he had fucked up.
"F-F-Fellow cultivator Yiqin, I was wrong. P-Please, forgive me." Wen Jun's body was trembling in fear as he stuttered for forgiveness.
Currently, Yang Liqin was no different than an asura, her body was shrouded with an intense murderous aura.
Her long hair flared up in an ominous red color as she floated midair. If Jiang Ming were to be in the scene, then even he would be dumbfounded by the appearance of Yang Liqin.
Hell, Jiang Ming might not even recognize Yang Liqin and would think it was an enemy.
Yang Liqin's appearance was heavenly yet deathly as she slowly took her mask off. It was her polite gesture to let the enemy see who she was before going on their merry way to the underworld.
"Y-Y-You're that Madam Yang from the Moon Bazaar." Wen Jun stutteringly said. His mouth and body were trembling as he tried to crawl backward.
Suddenly, almost like a lightning bolt had struck his brain, Wen Jun managed to realize the other mysterious expert.
"That Jing cultivator couldn't possibly be Jiang Ming, right?" He asked with a terrified expression hanging on his face.
Since it was clear that they were trying to hide their identities, and with him now knowing the truth; it would mean only one thing.
His life is probably over.
"Please spare me, Madam Yang. I was a blind fool, but I can provide you with assistance. Our Wen Clan is superior when it comes to inventing new items for cultivators and we can definitely satisfy your needs." Wen Jun hurriedly went on to his knees and pleaded for mercy.
"What makes you think I would spare your life after what you did?" Yang Liqin asked in a stern voice.
The incident Yang Liqin referred to was obviously the fact that Wen Jun had tried to attack her when she was on the platform, hoping to attract the Cannibal Octo to her attention.
Unfortunately for him though, Wen Jun had miscalculated gravely since the Cannibal Octo was frightened to death. It was still trembling at the corner of the dried landscape thanks to Yang Liqin vaporizing the entire lake.
'Sh*t, what do I have in hand to bargain?' Wen Jun's thought was like a marathon, running at full speed to come up with something valuable to Yang Liqin.
"Seems like you have nothing to respond to." Yang Liqin smirked coldly, extending her hand out slowly.
Just when Yang Liqin was about to end his life, Wen Jun suddenly retrieved a fragment map from his spatial ring.
"W-Wait a minute, Madam Yang. I have a fragmented map that could lead to a possible treasure trove of an Immortal." Wen Jun said, unveiling the map for her to see.
"Like I'm interested in a broken map-"
Yang Liqin paused her words when she gave a glance at the fragmented map. Her expression changed drastically when she realized what kind of map it was pointing at.
'How did a mere Wen Clan obtain such a map?' She wondered silently.
Pausing her action, she held a fierce glare at Wen Jun. "Speak, where did you find this map from?"
