Chapter 27 Military Combat Technique
“Besides, this mission is inevitable for you. If you don’t want to give me the benefits, then lock me up. Be the bait yourself.” Odin said. Wilson gritted his teeth as he saw the smugness on Odin’s face.
“Hurry up, I just want some benefits. It’s better than me sacrificing in vain.” Looking at the hesitating remaining officers, Odin talked in a sloppy voice.
Wilson was this team’s leader, so the remaining four officers were hesitantly looking at Wilson while the latter lowered his head, considering the pros and cons.
“Boss, let’s just agree with him. None of us can be the bait, only this kid is willing to.” One of the officers whispered to Wilson.
“Shut up! Did I permit you to speak?” Wilson was annoyed but he knew Odin was correct. This mission was inevitable, without Odin as the bait, everything would be troublesome.
The reprimanded officer was pushed to the side, drooping his head, afraid of speaking.
“Fine, you want benefits? I’ll give you benefits.” After weighing the pros and cons, Wilson helplessly made a choice. The remaining officers heard their boss’s words, letting out a sigh of relief.
It was rumored those who had exchanges with the Black Death Society might lose their life even if there was the slightest mistake. No one was willing to play with their life.
“What is it?” Sitting properly, Odin grimly stared at Wilson. If the person in front of him was going to scheme against him, he didn’t mind having a fight.
“We officers learn a type of specialized combat technique. It’s called the Military Combat Technique. I’ll use this to exchange you for being the bait. What do you think? If you don’t agree, we’ve got nothing to give you any more. We can just lock you up and not carry out this mission!” Wilson ruthlessly said. Since he wanted to scheme against Odin but Odin countered him instead, making his mood irked.
“Sure, I like it. Thanks, Wilson!” Odin deliberately revealed an innocent smile to spite Wilson.
“Hmph. Don’t be happy too early. Follow me to the empty lawn in the courtyard. I’ll only teach you once, whether or not you can learn it it’s your problem.” Clenching his fists, Wilson’s face darkened as he was angered by Odin.
“Alright, let’s go. Lead the way.” Being able to learn a new combat technique, Odin was overjoyed. Besides, he could even annoy and frustrate Wilson, having a whale of a time.
“I’ll say it again, I only teach once.” Seeing Odin’s happy face, Wilson was pissed and thought the other party didn’t clearly hear his condition.
“Once is once, I heard you. I’m not deaf.” Odin casually shrugged, revealing an ‘I understand, so stop the nonsense’ face.
Wilson furiously gritted his teeth. The Military Combat Technique was a different technique to learn. Although it didn’t have much to learn, all of the skills had a strict requirement in speed and especially Strength. Even he, who graduated from a military academy, spent a lot of time and sweat to master it. He refused to believe Odin, a university student, could learn the basics of the Military Combat Technique after seeing it once.
This was Wilson’s petty trick since he was certain Odin was unable to learn the Military Combat Technique under these circumstances, so he used it as a benefit.
The group of six arrived at the empty lawn in the courtyard. Wilson stood in the middle while Odin stood behind him, preparing to learn the Military Combat Technique.
Glancing at Odin, Wilson twitched his mouth as he began using the skills of the Military Combat Technique.
After watching a single skill, Odin realized the Military Combat Technique was very different from what he learned from the Ground Combat Club. The combat technique from the Ground Combat Club emphasized the coordination of Agility and Strength while the Military Combat Technique followed a certain pattern but was very powerful. Each skill wasn’t a simple physical contact, instead, it utilized the Qi energy driven by a huge force. The surroundings of the courtyard were quaking due to Wilson’s powerful skills.
The Military Combat Technique had a total of ten skills. The power of each skill was stacked upon one another so the force would gradually increase. It was a practical technique to use in a fight.
Following Wilson’s movement, Odin bits by bits replicated Wilson’s movement. The Military Combat Technique indeed was difficult to master because a single skill had numerous movements. If a single movement had insufficient power, then the next movement would fail to connect. Ultimately, the power of the Military Combat Technique was unable to be displayed.
On the surface, it might look similar but insufficient power would lead this technique to be a series of flailing punches and kicks.
However, Odin wasn’t worried about this problem. After learning the ten skills from Wilson, a message box suddenly popped up.
【Using 300 EXP to learn Military Combat Technique. Strength +3, Agility +1, Constitution +2. Every 100 times practicing can increase Strength by 0.4, Agility by 0.2, and Constitution by 0.3.】
“Alright, I’ve shown it once. Don’t blame me if you didn’t manage to learn it.” Stopping his actions, Wilson crossed his arms, calmly looking at Odin.
“Do all of you also use the Military Combat Technique? Can someone practice with me?” Swinging his wrist, Odin felt his wrist was slightly sore.
The Military Combat Technique had a strict requirement of Strength but not Agility. If he could fuse it with the combat technique he learned before, the effects should be pretty great. However, to fuse it, Odin must find a breakthrough point in actual combat otherwise the effects of the fusion technique might be subpar.
“You learned it?” Raising his brows, Wilson looked at Odin’s confident expression and only felt Odin was boasting. It was impossible for anyone to master the Military Combat Technique in under an hour.
“Why don’t let someone test it out?” Hooking his fingers at Wilson, Odin provoked Wilson.
Wilson felt steam would gush out from his ears because of this brat. With an expressionless face, Wilson headed in front of Odin, “Then, I play with you a bit. I won’t be responsible if you cry.”
With that, Wilson viciously swung out his fist. It seemed to be the fifth skill of the Military Combat Technique.
Using the same technique, Odin retreated a few steps back and ducked, dodging Wilson’s attack. Simultaneously, he launched a punch aiming at Wilson’s right arm.
The other officers, who were watching by the side, sucked a breath of cold air. This was evidently someone who mastered the Military Combat Technique and was able to smoothly use it in actual combat.
