Chapter 254: Swords of the Eight Realms

Man Hing Yau glanced at Greenstones emotionless face; his well-timed attack had interrupted her chant and Yim Ho was now right ahead of her.

Where you lookin at! Yim Ho roared. Covered in tiger patterns, he was like a humanoid tiger as he reached out his claws and slashed Man Hing Yau.

Man Hing Yau was unfazed despite being caught in such proximity. A circle of ice expanded from her feet; this time, she was sure Yim Ho couldnt evade her attack. He was already fully committed to the attack. Even though he could morph freely, it still took a second or two to take effect.

Glaciateit was an elementalists life-saver due to its short cast time. Once Yim Ho was frozen, shed follow up with Ring of Rebounding Flames and Frosty Beam. She was confident that no one could evade her combo twice.

Cling!

Glaciate struck Yim Ho as expected, but what mattered the most was whether it froze him or not. It triggered a rippling glow on himand that was all. The freezing effect didnt trigger and the spell only dealt negligible damage.

Yim Ho continued his charge and swung his claws at Man Hing Yau. They, unfortunately, ended up landing on her bosoms.

Again, Bloodless Bladester and Chan Ka Lok were the ones in trouble. They werent weaklings by any means, but the standard of comparison was simply too high. Drako Yau was incomparable to any ordinary player. Yim Ho, upon receiving Greenstones masterful support, was performing vastly better than usual.

Bloodless Bladester and Chan Ka Lok were the only ones experiencing the wrath of a legendary quest. Chan Ka Loks combat prowess was among first-rate players, but he lacked exceptional techniques such as unique footwork. He could only keep the bandit warrior at bay with his usual parries and evasions.

How much damage could a Level 40 epic boss deal? Chan Ka Lok knew best about it. Although his level wasnt low, he still had yet to reach Level 40, currently at Level 38. The bandit warrior was a weaponmaster with fairly quick Attack Speed as well, putting a lot of pressure on Chan Ka Lok.

Bloodless Bladester was also in a stalemate with Ying Tin. Much to Ying Yins surprise, the friendly diplomat turned out to be a lot more capable in combat than he had expected. Having refrained from public combat for so long, Bloodless Bladesters outstanding footwork was known to but a few. Only a small fraction of Ying Tins storm of sword auras managed to strike home.

Swords of the Eight Realms wasnt particularly outstanding in both speed and agility. Rather, its main advantage was its ability to remove lock-on effects. Through activating Swords of the Eight Realms, Ying Tin could forcefully remove lock-ons of both direction-specific and lock-on skills. Such a powerful ability together with his extremely long-range sword auras were the reason why he could dominate battles.

Ying Tin easily evaded the incoming Spatial Rend with Swords of the Eight Realms.

Spatial Rend was powerfulinstantaneous casting, teleportation, high damage. However, its downsides were proportional. Apart from its long cooldown, the caster would also be frozen for one second after the attack was over, leaving them vulnerable to counterattacks.

Standing not far away from Bloodless Bladester, Ying Tin proclaimed with a grin, Die!

He swung his sword. A tornado formed at its tip and whirled towards the immobilised Bloodless Bladester.

Level 30 Weaponmaster skill, Blade Tornado!

Once struck by Blade Tornado, the player would be levitated for ten seconds while being ravaged by the storm of blades. Skills that land on the levitated player would also deal additional damage. Its disadvantage lay in the tornados low travel speed; it was as slow as a stroll in a park. No one would sit there and wait for the tornado to hit them.

Casting Blade Tornado was the right move; Bloodless Bladester was still stiffened after casting Spatial Rend. Ying Tin had calculated the timing of their exchange beforehand. He knew exactly when to use Blade Tornado so it could reach Bloodless Bladester immediately after Spatial Rend was cast. Once Bloodless Bladester was dragged into the tornado, he was as good as dead.

The idea that Ying Tin only reached where he was now because he cleared an encounter quest couldnt be more wronghis technique, control, and strategy were all top-class.
