*Dangling* in the middle of the air, Ruo'er looked at Elysia, still not realizing what was happening. She wanted to open her mouth to speak, but no words came out. She could only look helplessly at the woman she knew nothing about besides her name.
"You crossed a line you should not have, even in anger," Elysia scowled, her hands trembling with anger. "You have no idea what Xin Yan had been through to make that kind of decision."n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Noah watched as Elysia's hands trembled. She was itching to kill the girl right there and then, but she was also aware that Noah would not allow her to do that.
The reason why he was saving her, Elysia knew, was that he could tell that Xin Yan was attached to the girl because she was her daughter-in-law, or maybe to her, she would always be her daughter-in-law. The girl her son loved and the girl who was there with him when he was alone and needed someone.
Hearing Elysia's words, Ruo'er got confused, wondering what she said wrong.
Everything she said was what she carefully thought about from what she had been hearing ever since she met Noah and Xin.
But what she forgot to think of was the fact that what kind of circumstance could have led to this misunderstanding. Seeing the confused look on her face, Elysia scoffed before raising her hand and placing it on her head.
"You think that Noah just happily used Long Tian's body for his right?" Ruo'er watched as the green-haired woman raised her hand.
'Move!' she screamed at her own body to move and dodge, but there was nothing she could do as her body would not listen to her no matter what.
"You think that Xin Yan just woke up one day and made up her mind to give up her own blood's body just to get closer to Noah?" The more she spoke, the harder it became for Elysia to not crush Ruo'er's skull with the hand she placed on her head.
Ruo'er was stumped, seeing the look on her face, wondering if what she was thinking was correct or not. At that moment, a seed of doubt was planted in her heart.
Her eyes widened in disbelief as she watched Noah using Long Tian's body to strengthen Xin Yan's body but not his own. After she knew the whole truth, Elysia took her hand back before lowering the roots to the ground, letting the girl stand on her own feet.
Ruo'er could not even believe the information that she had just watched for a long time. She started rejecting that any of that was real.
'Why would he have such a good chance to strengthen himself and just let Xin Yan get stronger instead?' She looked at the ground with a vacant expression on her face.
No matter how much she wanted to deny that the memories were false, somewhere in her heart she knew what she watched was real.
"Do you still think a woman like Xin Yan still does not deserve to be a mother?" Hearing the heavy voice right in front of her, Ruo'er snapped out of her thoughts and looked at her.
She opened her mouth to say something, but words would not come. She choked on her own words, seeing the sharp look pointed in her direction. There was nothing she could say. After all, she was feeling embarrassed at the moment.
Not because she was wrong, but because of the things she said. After a long time, she steeled herself to speak up.
"What have I done..." She muttered while lowering her head. Her eyes were bloodshot from guilt and anger, anger directed at no one else but herself. She recalled all the horrible things she said about Xin Yan.
Then she did not think that the way the two of them reacted was too much. She would have killed the person who would have said those things about such a wonderful woman.
Elysia ignored the girl and looked at Noah before walking closer to him. But Ruo'er, who saw her walk away, opened her mouth once again to speak.
