It appears that reaching level 10 was not easy. It felt as if it was one of the biggest hurdles in the early stages of the Apocalypse.
In any case, he was hoping that this Zombie Wave would give him enough experience points to level up. That way, he could get more Memory Spheres and possibly learn more Survivor Skills.
Shane then checked the number of bullets he had and confirmed that he only had five more rounds.
Up until now, the Survivor Store hasn't sold any ammunition for his revolver. It was pretty disappointing, but he didn't dwell on it too much.
Instead, he checked the Reputation Store, which was unlocked after reaching level 9. Like what the name implies, this store only sold things that could be purchased by Reputation Points.
These items are very rare and valuable and require high reputation points.
[ From now on, you will face a relentless onslaught of Zombies that will try to kill you for 12 hours. You will have to use all your skills and resources to survive. Remember, you can use everything you have to survive the Zombie Wave ]
[ You can also earn rewards by completing hidden achievements during the Zombie Wave. ]
[ Good luck, and stay alive. ]
As the announcement disappeared, Shane's gaze swept over the misty area outside the shelter.
To his surprise, dozens of Crawler Zombies, their missing legs leaving behind a trail of decay, were gradually encroaching upon their temporary haven.
It was quite weaker than he expected. However, it seemed justifiable considering that this will be a 12-hour run.
Nevertheless, Anna still felt a bit scared as she held her nail bat tight. The eerie sight sent shivers down her spine.
Of course, it wasn't over yet.
On the left side of their shelter, a more menacing threat loomed.
A total of 20 Walker Zombies, their decaying flesh hanging from skeletal frames, advanced with an unsettling uniformity.
Their hollow eye sockets seemed to fixate on the shelter with an unyielding hunger, exuding an aura of malevolence that made Anna's blood run cold.
"So this is the Zombie Wave... It's a good thing that there weren't any Runner Zombies." Anna muttered.
"They'll probably appear once we kill all these mobs." Harper commented as he readied his weapons, a pickaxe and a spear made out of metal pipes, and his sharpened dagger.
The Crawlers, with their twisted, elongated limbs and tattered clothing, moved with an unsettling rhythm, emitting guttural moans that echoed through the misty forest.
Their presence was a haunting reminder of the horrors that had befallen the world.
To be honest, even Shane felt a bit scared just from the sounds they were making.
In stark contrast, the Walkers' relentless advance was accompanied by the sickening sound of bones grinding against each other, followed by the occasional growl that reverberated through the air.
As he looked at them, he could see their sunken, lifeless eyes seemed to harbor an insatiable hunger...
"Anna, Harper, ready your weapons. It's about to get intense..."
As the two groups of Zombies converged on their shelter, a sense of impending doom permeated the air, and Shane knew that the battle for survival had only just begun.
