"There's a 5 percent chance that it will zoom 100 times?" Shane muttered as he read the details of the Binoculars. There was also a 10 percent chance of revealing some hidden information to his target of observation.

It was quite mysterious indeed, just like how it was described. 'I might as well buy this one to see how it works.' Shane thought.

Since he had plenty of money, or Zombie Cores, in his inventory, he didn't have to live frugally anymore.

Just like that, Shane spent 244 Zombie Cores!

Nevertheless, he thought it was worth it. He wanted to equip himself and his friends with the best items possible, to increase their chances of survival.

He checked the items he bought, admiring their quality and usefulness. He was especially pleased with the Ammunition Boxes, which would allow him to use his Revolver more often and more effectively. ***

But while Shane was busy inspecting his purchases, unbeknownst to him, there was someone watching them from a distance. "Interesting... I didn't expect that there's already a community close to us."

This person was on top of a tree and was using a handheld telescope to spy on Shane's group. He was a man, about 30 years old, with a slim and wiry build with a cunning and greedy face. He had short brown hair, a stubble beard, and a scar on his nose. Although he had some leaves and branches on his body to camouflage himself, one could still see that he wore a leather jacket, jeans, and a pair of boots. Furthermore, he had a short dagger and a revolver on his belt.

His name was Franky, and he was the leader of a newly established group of Survivors who had been roaming the area for a while. Because they fled from their Zombie Wave, they barely received some rewards, and they were running out of resources.

At this time, they had been looking for a place to settle down or at least to loot and plunder. Franky knew that as long as they found a target, their group of five people could work together!

"Let's continue to observe for now..." Franky muttered to himself.

He looked at the estate through his telescope, and he saw Shane and his friends. He saw the fence, the shelter, the traps, the dog, and other stuff being worked on by the group. "Hmm... They looked so lively, I guess they're not worried about food, huh..." He muttered to himself, licking his lips. He was not intimidated by the sight of the survivors nor by their defenses. He was only excited by the prospect of taking their resources by force if necessary.

After all, with his Exceptional Talent, he has nothing to be afraid of!
