Shane moved decisively as he retrieved the Conversion Device from his system inventory.
He did not hesitate for a moment before placing his Master-Grade pocket knife under the scanner.
The Zombie Core was worth a single point, and the Item Upgrade Crystal five, but the value of his cherished knife was a mystery.
Ding!

[ The points have been successfully credited to your account. ]
At the same time, the pocket knife had also vanished...
"Wow, two hundred eight points for the knife alone..." Shane exclaimed, a mix of surprise and satisfaction in his voice.
However, he paused for a moment as he calculated. From Common to Uncommon, he needed 1 Item Upgrade Crystal. From Uncommon to Rare, he needed 2 of them. Then, to reach Exceptional Grade, he needed to spend 10 more Item Upgrade Crystals. Then, to reach the Master Grade, he needed 30 Item Upgrade Crystals.
Reaching above that, or Epic Grade, required 100 Item Upgrade Crystals but Shane felt that it was too overkill at the moment so he didn't bother upgrading his items too much.
After all, he might find items worthy of spending that many Crystals soon.
In any case, he needed 44 Item Upgrade Crystals to advance an item from Common to Master Grade.
44 Crystals are worth 220 points... So, having the 280 points with extra 60 points was certainly a good deal!
After all, he believed that they would probably not have some price if he scanned a Common Item!
'So it's better to use the Crystals, huh...' Shane mused.
To test this theory, Shane got one of the Joker cards in his deck of cards that were barely being used these days.
Then, he used the conversion device to see its worth.
Ding!

[ Your Common-Grade Playing Card has been valued at 0 Points. ]
"It's useless, huh..." Shane repeated as he conformed that the card had zero value.
However, he wasn't disappointed at all. Instead, he was actually happy to find this out!
"This could really tip the scales in my favor."
Since he still had plenty of time, he decided to get another card.
It was Ace of Hearts.
Without hesitation, he used his 44 Item Upgrade Crystals to upgrade this playing card from Common Grade to Master Grade!
The reason for doing this was simple: once he upgraded it to Master Grade, he would scan it once again with the Conversion Device and see if he'd only get 220 Points or points similar to the value of the Item Upgrade Crystals.
After upgrading the card from common to uncommon, Shane received a notification from the system.

Shane looked at this current status with satisfaction before turning his attention back to his items.
His eyes landed on an Acid Pouch, a Spirit Enhancement Bottle, a Spitter Tongue, and a packet of Special Spicy Instant Noodles. One by one, he scanned them, watching as they transformed into valuable points for the auction.

[ Your Spirit Enhancement Bottle has been valued at 50 Points. ]
[ Your Spitter Tongue has been valued at 60 Points. ]
[ Special Spicy Instant Noodles has been valued at 10 Points. ]
'Mhmm... I think these Spirit Enhancement Bottles would give me plenty of points.' Shane thought as he decided to convert a hundred Spirit Enhancement Bottles!
In any case, after drinking one of his Spirit Breakthrough Potions, his limit of 1,000 Spirit Points broke through, and his new limit was 2,000 points. However, he received a notification that he would need five Spirit Breakthrough Potions to exceed the limit once again!
With that in mind, he knew that these Spirit Enhancement Bottles right now would be better to be converted for the auction. After all, he could collect more of them in the future!

After completing the hundred conversion, Shane checked his current points.
"Mhmm... Only 6,555 points, huh... I guess I just have to continue. It's probably fine to leave a few Spirit Enhancement Bottles.
With that in mind, Shane converted 500 more Spirit Enhancement Bottles, leaving him with only 66 bottles.
Thanks to that, he finally had a decent amount of Points in his perspective.
31,555!
It was a substantial sum, yet a gnawing sense of ambition urged him to seek more.
'I need more...' Shane mused.
He then convened with his fellow survivors, as they gave their suggestions about the items he could try to convert into points. Despite the wealth of ideas, none resonated with Shane until a spark of inspiration struck him.
He made his way to the manor's third floor, a place shrouded in enigma, where items of the past lay dormant within cryogenic chambers!
The air was thick with the chill of preservation.
'I'm finally back here...' Shane mused as he had been busy dismantling the laser and electric defenses of this floor for several days.
The reason was obvious: he wanted to incorporate the security defenses of this floor into the outside.
He already confirmed that there were some batteries being used on this floor, which was why he could make them work.
They were none other than the Power Cores!
