Chapter 155: Cleared

While Shane was considering the best thing to do with those boulders blocking the water path, the elves and the others stood in awe, beholding the majestic waterfall in all its splendor.

The sight of the running water felt refreshing to them, it was like nature's resilience to the world that had succumbed to the zombies.

'Well, I have to make sure that it's really leading to the estate first...' Shane mused.

Turning to Eldrin, the leader of the elven unit, he issued a command with a hint of urgency.

"Eldrin, take two other elves with you and investigate the path of the blocked canal. Confirm if it leads to our estate..." Shane instructed with a firm voice.

Eldrin, with a nod of understanding, swiftly gathered a group of agile and perceptive elves, Faelar, Cirdan...

Together, they set out on their mission. Their footsteps were light and barely made sound as they navigated the dense foliage and rugged terrain that bordered the obstructed waterway.

As they reached the site of the blockage, Eldrin and his team moved swiftly as if they weren't examining the surroundings.

Perhaps this task would have taken a long time if it had been done by humans, but the sharp elven senses attuned to every detail and nuance of the terrain made it easy for them.

Faelar scouted ahead, tracing the path of the dried river with precision, while Cirdan inspected the boulders that impeded its flow and if they weren't that large, he would destroy them immediately.

Well, they already knew what Shane planned to do, so if the path was really heading to their estate, then they should be clearing its path already.

Eldrin, with his keen eyesight, scanned the surroundings, noting the landscape and any landmarks that might indicate the river's true destination.

Each elf moved with purpose, their movements coordinated and efficient as they worked together seamlessly to find the path it was heading through.

After a thorough investigation that spanned the length of the blocked river path, Eldrin signaled to his companions, a knowing gleam in his eyes.

With a sense of certainty, he turned to Shane and delivered the long-awaited report.

"Lord Shane, our findings confirm your intuition. This is indeed the dried river that leads directly to our estate..." Eldrin announced, his voice filled with conviction.

Shane's heart swelled with pride and satisfaction as he beheld the diligence and expertise of his elven companions.

Indeed, the river, freed from its rocky prison, surged forth vigorously!

The water cascaded down to the newly cleared path towards Shane's estate...

"Incredible... You managed to do that with bare hands." Shane was impressed as the Monk showed why he was an Epic Summon!

He believed that not even the Super Soldiers would be able to destroy such huge boulders with their bare hands!

Shaaa~

The sound of rushing water filled the air, it was like a nature's song that sooth everyone's ears.

The Elves also praised the Monk. They were in awe of Chaloem's incredible display of strength and skill, and he certainly deserves to be respected by the mystical race.

'Ahh... I didn't mention this to the others.' Shane muttered as he recalled the situation in the estate.

Well, the unexpected sight of the river's resurgence would surely astonish the residents of the estate. Nonetheless, even if they were surprised, they would sure be happier to see such a blessing coming to their estate.

With the path clear and the river restored, Shane felt that they had already completed a lot for this day... However, he went here to explore the forest to obtain more Zombie Cores and purchase various things in his store, like the Drone and the Epic Item, Mystic Amulet.

He needed to continue.

"Alright, let's follow this path..." Shane said as he looked at his map and before he chose a path to explore.

He was planning to follow the other path of the river created by the waterfall.

However, it didn't take long before Cloud gave his warning.

This time, the A.I. was faster than the Elves since Cloud had already obtained quite plenty of their blood, making its detection range a lot wider!

[ 10 Zombies approaching... ] The A.I. Assistant warned.

[ All Flasher Zombies. ]
