Chapter 266: Shared Experience

Shane decided not to test the Orbs since they were only single-use items and he only had five of them.

It was too much of a waste to try one of them and see how good or bad they were. Anyway, he could assume that they weren't that great since they could only summon low-tier Undead Creatures.

He believed that any of the Survivors who had reached this point should be more than capable of dealing with such Creatures.

Anyway, he also felt a bit disappointed as he thought that he'd get to loot more from the Necromancer. One Item Upgrade Crystal and five orbs seemed a bit too stingy but after realizing that he also took his Cloak, Robe, and Dagger, Shane finally felt comfortable seeing that the Necromancer was vanishing into shattered light.

Shane then returned to the Wild Shelter to take everything there.

As he returned, he confirmed that all the Undead Summons had disappeared and from where their bodies had disappeared lay a black crystal.

There were a total of 24 of these dark crystals waiting to be collected.

As he stored them inside his Inventory, he finally learned what they were.

[ Dark Spirit Crystals: A special-type Crystal for those with Talent related to Darkness. Consume to obtain 5-10 Dark Spirit Points. ]

"Huh? This is totally useless." Shane shook his head as it wasn't possible for him to consume this item since he doesn't have Dark-Related Talent.

Even if he forcibly consumes this, it might just make him sick. Furthermore, even if he obtained Dark Spirit Points, it would be useless as well since he doesn't have a Skill or Talent where he might need it.

'Well, someone might need this...' Shane muttered as he recalled that there should be other Survivors that had talent in Necromancy, Dark Alchemy, and other Dark Magic, according to the Regional Chat when he was reading them when he was bored.

He even learned that there were truly many Survivors with similar Talents and most of them just varied in the grade of their Talent.

With the Black Crystals secured, Shane turned his attention to the main building of the Shelter, the former room of the Necromancer.

Stepping into the room, Shane felt the cold and eerie silence that seemed to really show how it differed from other shelters.

After all, with the Shelter Crystal in his possession, he could just claim a piece of land anywhere he wanted!

This was definitely a precious item!

Even if he doesn't need this item, he would be able to sell it for a very high price!

Anyway, he agreed to retrieve the Shelter Crystal since there was no way he would stay in this place.

After doing this, he noticed that the rampart and the main building started cracking!

This alarmed Shane for a moment, so he quickly left the place.

However, the structures only cracked, and they didn't collapse.

'It seems that the building durability effect just disappeared, so the quality of the structures has degraded.' Shane mused as he recalled the effect of the Shelter Crystal.

Anyway, after doing all of this, Shane decided to start moving...

Although it was already night, he still doesn't feel tired or sleepy. Because of that, he continued on his way in the direction leading to Sector 20...

After an additional 5 days of travel, Shane at last arrived at Sector 11. It was a significant milestone on his journey... After all, he calculated that he was only a few Sectors away from reaching Sector 20. Furthermore, this Sector was a crucial waypoint on his route. There were also plenty of Survivor Shelters here according to the Regional Chat.

Anyway, he was able to reach this far, thanks to his exceptional physical condition. With his max Strength and Agility, it enabled him to maintain a stable pace for extended periods without rest.

Furthermore, he actually managed to level up a couple of times thanks to his hunting and his subordinates in the Springriver Manor...

'I gained a lot of shared experience points in the past two days, I wonder what happened to them.' Shane thought as he looked at this Territorial Information, confirming that the population didn't go down and it even increased.
