Chapter 281: Lysandra

There were several reasons why Shane agreed to teach Lysandra... First, he was curious about her skills and talent. After all, even A.I. Cloud failed to sense her presence. The other reason was that he needed to know more about this shelter since, later on, he would be helping them fight against the Giant Zombie.

He needed someone who would tell him more about that, and this woman who belonged to the combat team of the shelter would be good enough to provide him with information. Aside from that, he also needed to practice some of his survival skills since he was planning to use double hatchets as his main weapon.

"Great! It's my first time seeing a very strong Survivor... My instinct was telling that you're at least in the top 100 Survivors in the Leaderboard." Lysandra said.

As she said this, Stan and his group smirked but didn't say anything. Needless to say, they knew that Shane was at least Level 25 since he had an Auto-Loot Function, as he had previously explained to them.

They simply couldn't imagine how many Zombies he had killed just to reach that level.

On the other hand, Lysandra was only Level 17 or 18 in their opinion. That gap was definitely huge! Although she was definitely skilled with her shotgun and revolver, Shane was simply on a different level.

Nonetheless, they were excited to witness their match so they decided to follow the two.

At this time, most residents of the estate were doing their daily tasks. However, Shane and Lysandra's match still caught their attention as several people started watching them.

At this time, the sun hung low in the sky, casting long shadows across the open training ground within the Ironclad Imperium Clan's shelter. Well, it was still early in the morning.

The air crackled with anticipation as Lysandra and Shane faced each other, their elemental abilities ready to ignite.

Lysandra, her black hair pulled back in a tight braid, gripped the hilt of her slender sword. Her blue eyes locked onto Shane, and it was filled with the desire to fight a strong Survivor.

She wore a simple tunic, practical for movement, and her stance exuded confidence.

"What weapon is that?" Shane asked.

"Mhmm? This is a Royal Knight Sword... I bought it in my Survivor Store as an Uncommon Grade but I upgraded it to Exceptional Grade." Lysandra answered.

"Exceptional Grade, huh... That's perfect." Shane muttered as he also had two Exceptional Grade Hatchets with him. They all came from his Weapon Gift Pack.

Well, using his Legendary weapons would be too unfair, after all. He would feel so much better beating Lysandra with his skills instead of his cheat-like weapons.

Shane then showed his two hatchets and swung them in wide arcs. He was trying to get used to their lightness and balance.

However, Lysandra was fast. She twisted, narrowly avoiding the blow, her braid whipping behind her.

Shane pressed forward as he felt a lot more comfortable with double hatchets...

Lysandra stepped back, but she still used her sword to counter Shane's attack pattern...

'She must've learned a sword technique... Her movements weren't simple...' Shane thought as he could tell Lysandra's sword style was definitely not made out of instincts but through years of practice.

She feinted left, then spun right, aiming for Shane's exposed flank.

But he anticipated her move, blocking with both hatchets.

Bang!

The impact reverberated through his arms, but he held his ground.

'It a lot stronger than I thought...' Shane muttered, and he was definitely praising Lysandra's strength.

After all, he had a maxed-out Strength stat. On the other hand, her strength shouldn't even be half of his current strength.

However, for some reason, Lysandra's sword skills made him uncomfortable. It seemed to be related to the sword skill that she was using.

They separated briefly after this clash. Shane still had steady breathing, but Lysandra did not. She looked at Shane, shocked at his aura... He wasn't even sweating at all.

However, her tunic already bore a shallow cut, blood seeping through the fabric. It wasn't much for her since she could easily heal this shallow injury.

Then, Shane's arm, which was supposedly grazed, doesn't have a thin line of red at all. Shane was actually completely unharmed from her attacks.

Lysandra's eyes narrowed.

'This guy... Does he have a Diamond Skin Talent? Isn't that a Legendary Talent? Or is that a Golden Skin Talent?' she mused.

Anyway, she needed an opening as she wasn't finished yet. She wanted to try once again...

After taking a deep breath, she attacked once again. This time, she was planning to use her Sword Art!
