Chapter 286: The Workshop

As the rain soaked through his tunic, Shane debated returning to his house or visiting Dylan's Workshop. It was the workshop of Magnus' righthand in this Shelter.

He wanted to immediately see the reward he would be getting. He would have choices there after all.

However, as they went down the stone wall, a figure came to approach their group.

"Sir Magnus! Hurry! Look at the World Chat!"

Magnus frowned, wiping rain from his brow.

He opened his Chat Board, and needless to say, everyone followed suit. They were all curious as to why this person seemed to be nervous or panicking.

'Since it's in the World Chat, it means that it's only a piece of information from another Survivor and not the system... I wonder what made him panic...' Shane mused as he opened the World Chat.

[ Sebastian: There isn't a World Ranking yet, but I'm probably the strongest Survivor right now. I am here to tell you about the phenomenon that is going on right now without any system announcements. It's all about the existence of the Wild Shelters... You probably have no idea about this but they are enigmatic structures that have sprouted across continents like mushrooms.

They seemed to have been sent here to battle against the Zombies... including us. Who are they? I don't know, but they're not from Earth. Not even close. They can't communicate with us... ]

[ Sebastian: I've seen them. My clan and neighboring Survivors encountered them as well. They were human-like beings, but they were not humans for sure. I'm telling everyone about them since I don't want any more Survivors to fall from their tricks. Do not enter their Shelters alone. If you're strong enough, kill them since they were all lootable.

I'll call them Wild Alien Survivors for now. ]

[ Sebastian: You must be thinking of finding them and destroying their Shelter, but you have to make sure that you're capable of blocking bullets, lasers, or even RPGs when facing them. I think that we've already entered the next phase of this Apocalypse. ]

Shane was stunned as soon as he read the message. He already knew about this, but it seems that the scale of Wild Shelters was really worldwide, as he had expected.

Apparently, Dylan's Workshop was one of the main reasons that this Shelter remained strong.

Dylan, the cofounder of the Ironclad Imperium had an Epic Talent called Tattoo Artist. It was unfortunate that he had a weak fighting capabilities but with his support, the elite members of the Clan had become really strong thanks to him.

Well, his Tattoo Marks could grant Survivor Skills. Although he could only make three types of Tattoos right now, it was only because his level was low and his proficiency wasn't perfected yet.

His potential hadn't been fully explored yet.

Anyway, the workshop's exterior was quite normal. It was simply close the underground tunnel they had created as their emergency escape route if they really had to leave this place. It shows how important Dylan was.

Upon entering Dylan's Workshop, Shane was greeted by a myriad of intricate and mesmerizing Tattoo Designs adorning the walls. Each design was definitely made by a creative mind.

Currently, the room was filled with the smell of ink and metal, creating an ambiance that resonated with the spirit of the Shelter.

At the end of the room was the person he was looking for. He was Dylan, the righthand man of Magnus... He stood at a workbench covered in various tattooing tools and inks. His rugged appearance and calm gaze were just like how Magnus described this person.

His arms were covered in the same Tattoo Marks that he offered to survivors, each symbolizing a different Survivor Skill.

As Shane made his presence known, Dylan turned towards him, his expression momentarily confused before recognition dawned in his eyes.

"Ahh... Are you Shane? I heard about you from Magnus. He mentioned that you can get one of my three Tattoo Marks..." Dylan's voice was gruff yet welcoming...

He knew almost everyone in this Shelter, so seeing a different face made him recognize Shane as the visitor.

"Yes. I heard that each Tattoo Mark of yours grants Survivor Skills. One of them grants Enhanced Senses, according to Magnus. I'd really want to have that." Shane replied... Although Enhanced Senses seemed to be a basic skill, he really needed it.

After all, he realized that he couldn't obtain Survivor Skills through the normal method of repeated practice, unlike the others!
