Shane wryly smiled at the young man's answer, as he already knew this much.
However, the fact that no one wants to buy this probably means that the egg wasn't that great.
"How much for the egg?" He asked.
The kid knew very well that this egg was difficult to sell. Nonetheless, he had already confirmed from the Foreign Survivors that this was a real Pet Egg, but it had a very high requirement to hatch.
Those who didn't have much money wouldn't think of buying this, but he knew that if he found a wealthy person interested in obtaining Pets, he could get rich because of it.
The boy hesitated, glancing around nervously. "I... I don't really know. I was hoping to trade it for something useful. But I'm thinking of buying a weapon to protect myself. A sword is sold for about 20 Zombies Cores, while a gun was sold for 50... So how about 70 Zombies Cores?"
Shane considered the offer as this was indeed pricey. However, the Marketplace sells them for 100 Zombies Cores and above, so it wasn't that bad.
To be honest, he still has a Mystery Egg that he looted from a Spitter Monster Zombie. He just hasn't hatched it yet since he felt that he had no need for a pet yet.
However, tomorrow, he could already enter his Fairy Realm, so he might as well hatch 2 Pet Eggs and train them inside with Axis' help.

Shane then reached out for his Inventory. Then, he gave the 70 cores and asked, "Will this do?"
The boy's eyes widened. "Yes, sir! Thank you, sir!"
Shane handed over the cores and took the egg, feeling its warmth against his palms. He could sense a faint heartbeat on it.
He nodded to the boy and turned to leave, the egg cradled carefully in his arms.

Requirements: 100 Zombie Cores, 5 Power Cores, and 3 units of Polymorphium Metal to awaken the dormant creature within.
He wanted to do this simply to compare the ones brewed by Bart and the ones being sold here. After all, if they would soon enter the market with Bart's alcohol, he should be aware of their possible competition.
The bartender nodded, retrieving a dusty bottle from a shelf. He uncorked it with a practiced twist and handed it to Shane. "Enjoy."
Shane took a mouthful and immediately regretted it.
'Urgh...'
The alcohol burned his throat, leaving a bitter aftertaste. It was nothing compared to the smooth, rich brews crafted by Bart back at his shelter. He grimaced, setting the bottle down.
The bartender's eyes narrowed. "Did you not like it?" he asked, his tone edged with irritation. Everyone in the Shelter liked his drink.
Shane met his challenging gaze and chose his words carefully. He didn't want to cause a scene here.
"It's... different from what I'm used to." He replied.
The bartender's frown deepened. "Different, huh? This should be the best one, and I haven't heard anyone other than us selling these."
"Ahh... I just happened to loot one." Shane just said as he didn't want to stay with the topic.
He wanted to finish the drink but couldn't, so he just left the pub without any more words...
'We're going to get rich if we started selling Bart's alcohol... With how good it was, we could probably sell it for 20 Zombie Cores per bottle.' Shane thought with a smile as he left the pub.
On the other hand, seeing that Shane barely consumed the 1 Zombie Core bottle, the manager's eyes turned cold.
As soon as Shane closed the door, the manager spoke. "Follow that person..."

Outside, Shane no longer found anything interesting, so after a while, he returned to their rented room.
Lysandra was already there waiting for him with some hot skewers from unknown meat.
