Chapter 308: Defending the Shelter

They had no idea how this person reached that place when he was supposedly at the very back controlling his skeletons!

It was as if he was waiting for their gates to open all along!

Then, a strong breeze came, and the cloak hiding his face was removed.

Now, they could clearly see a tall, gaunt man with pale skin and eyes that glowed with an unnatural crimson light. He wore dark robes adorned with strange symbols, and a sinister smile played on his lips.

"Who are you?" Marlon demanded while he raised his hammer as if he was ready to unleash a Skill.

The man chuckled, his voice cold and mocking.

"I am the leader of the shelter you guys scouted a few days ago. You may call me Malakar. I think this place has a better spot, so I'm claiming this today."

Lysandra's grip tightened on her sword. "Not good... This guy looked so confident even after we killed all his Skeleton Warriors. He definitely has a hidden card."

However, Marlon didn't even bother to think about this as he immediately led a group of people to attack Malakar.

"Kill him!"

In his mind, Malakar was now near them and alone! It would be a great chance to kill him.

However, as soon as Marlon's group moved, Malakar's smile widened.

"Let's see about that..."

With a wave of his hand, more skeletons appeared, and the ones they'd killed became Zombie Warriors!

Marlon was started with the appearance of the new batch of enemies. However, Lysandra decided to give her all.

After all, the elites of the Clan weren't here yet. They were the only defenders of this place, and they had to win against this Necromancer no matter what.

"I will handle the Skeleton Warriors and Zombie Warriors here. Defeat that Necromancer!" she shouted.

With a swift motion, she activated her Epic Wolf Spirit Ring and everyone heard a howl!

At the same time, two gray spirit wolves materialized beside her! This scene shocked the Survivors nearby!

Most of them believed that Lysandra had a Pack Master Talent or something similar.

Seeing this, Marlon knew that they could win!

At this time, the wolves finally dissipated as they were only active for 300 seconds. That already caused her 150 Spirit Points. Then, she used several sword techniques and was now left with a measly 70 Spirit Points from her original 430 Spirit Points.

Nonetheless, they had still cleared the immediate threat.

However, her relief was short-lived.

As she turned her gaze to the rampart, her heart sank. Marlon's team, who had been tasked with eliminating Malakar, lay defeated.

Their bodies were strewn across the stone while their weapons were scattered.

'Why are they so weak?! Ugh... No, is that Necromancer really that strong?!' Lysandra could help but feel frustrated at this point.

She saw Malakar standing without any signs of injury amidst the carnage...

"You're really forcing me to use my precious items..." Lysandra muttered, her brow furrowing.

Marlon was the highest-ranking officer of the Nightfall Nexus, remaining in the shelter. If he fell, the shelter's defenses would crumble, and Malakar would conquer this place soon if she didn't kill this creature here.

The others were also despairing, seeing that Marlon was already killed.

"Let's escape now..." One of the survivors said...

"T-that's right... We'll just reclaim this after the elites return."

"It's not our fault that they all brought their strong defenders... If they left even one of the Legendary Talent Holder here, we would be fine."

"What about those people inside the shelter. They're still unaware of their situation..."

The others started considering what to do before ultimate looking at Lysandra, who was certainly the strongest of them all.

Lysandra heard them and sighed. She had no other choice.

Reaching into her pouch, she pulled out two talismans—gifts from Shane. They were the Talismans of Lightning, powerful artifacts capable of unleashing devastating strikes!

She didn't want to use this as much as possible. However, she had to end this now!

Lysandra held the talismans tightly.

With a deep breath, she focused her energy and activated the first talisman with only 1 Spirit Point used.

Then, a bolt of lightning shot from her hand, arcing through the air towards Malakar.

The Necromancer's eyes widened in surprise as the lightning struck him!
