It turns out that the spirit didn't have a suitable gift prepared for them, so it began to zip around again, shouting and muttering. It disappeared before it appeared again, and then it brought something along with it.
The reward was called, 'The Star of Solomon'. The spirit said it was one of the knowledge, one of the diaries of King Solomon and it was very prized.
It wasn't an artifact but it was used to store knowledge and memories. Jael didn't think it was a suitable reward but at least he had gotten the Onus from this whole thing.
It was given to Litha because she was the 'MVP' of the stage with what the Onus did to her. She gladly collected it and because 'The Star of Solomon' was like a skill, she was able to store it in her Codex.
With that out of the way, they moved to the next stage, into the hallway. "Temur, cook me the best food you can. I want to wash away the thought of that monster." Litha said.
"We don't have a lot of food and my spices are not as good as I wanted it. We have used up all the best stuff." He replied but he began to bring out all his tools anyway. "Even if we don't have all the thick bread again we still have the stale hard ones. They are always the last to go....."
They began to make small conversations as everyone prepared. The hallway was a big room painted white and black, and it was devoid of anything. Jael brought out a bowl, poured water from his big keg, and then proceeded to wash his mouth with brush and paste.
He was musing silently to himself about the usefulness of the spatial space rings. To him, it was the foundation of what made the Tower Dungeon because what would people do without it?
He shook his head when someone tapped him on the side. He turned, and it was Litha. Her blue eyes were like hot ice as she stared intently into his eyes. "Thank you, Jael." She squeezed his shoulder and gave him a little smile.
That smile reminded him of his grandmother's own, it was mixed with the right touch of warmth and appreciation that always put him right at ease. His heart quickened and hardened as he was reminded once again why he was climbing the Tower.
They entered while they all complained about the time it had taken for the door to be opened. After the light from the door finally died down they were able to see around them.
They were in a throne room of sorts, it was a big room with bigger pillars holding up the ceiling. In front of them, far into the back, lay a throne.
Small pillars held up burning touches that lit up the room.
There were other people here too, Awakeners teams – only the GUV and The Walkers. No one knew where the other teams were, and the spirit wasn't here yet.
"So even the Gold made it; too bad for them, though. This is where it all ends." Arin said, loud enough that everyone heard. The Captain of the GUV is a tall man with a broad face; he wears full armor with a long sword on his back.
Jael and the others didn't react, they just watched him while he began to boast. Throwing snide comments at them, maybe hoping for them to react, but he was disappointed. No way they'll fall for a cheap trick like that.
Eventually, he stopped and started to chat loudly with his teammates. Even the Walkers are silent, eerily so. They wore black clothes with hoods so thick none of their face showed. And they just stood there as their robe flapped in the empty room without any air blowing it.
Then, more Awakeners joined. Two should be freelance Awakeners but must be from independent people who bought the right to also claim the zone.
Just then, the spirit flapped down; it was bigger than the rest of the spirits so far, with butterfly wings that shimmered blue and green. "Congratulations. You have reached the last stage. This is where the throne given to the general lay, and you can claim it by sitting on it!"
"That is how to clear the stage here! If any of you can sit on the throne for more than two minutes without anyone stopping you then you win!"
