"I'll settle myself with the teammates." Kaidos finally said; his hand twitched with the need to send his sword cutting forward, but he stayed his hand.

Arin turned and began to walk towards his teammates. "Sorry, but I can't let you do that. I'm their leader, and I'm responsible for them. Kill me too if you want them dead."

Kaidos's face darkened. "Get the fuck out of here. Your face disgusts me."

Arin crouched before his teammates and his eyes flashed. "Careful. I always remember faces."

'I should just kill the bastard,' Kaidos thought, but he shook his head. There is no need to bring unnecessary trouble to himself; his target was Jael, after all.

He turned towards them, thinking they might have run during his fight with the GUV but they still stayed in their shield, looking at the whole thing as if it was a form of entertainment. "Jael. Come out now and follow me quietly. You don't want your teammates dead do you?"

Jael looked at him dead in the eyes. "You've made a mistake, Kaidos; my teammates can take care of themselves. You should worry about your head instead."

He looked at Temur who nodded. "Litha, remove the shield. We will fight," he turned to Cele. "This is where our journey ends; go and claim the throne and place the mana regulator before the Walkers do."

Cele opened her mouth, then hesitated when she saw that the Walker team are already approaching the throne. "Very well. We, the Gold will finish our mission. Tim! Dile! To me!"

She turned and began to run towards the throne, shouting that no one should dare touch it. Tim paused and looked at Jael. "It'll be a shame if you die. So don't." He joined his team, getting his stones ready for action.

"Well then," Jael smiled. "Three to one. I don't like your odds, beastman."

Kaidos shivered as he heard the voice; panic roared in his head as he remembered that there was still one more member! He hurriedly dodged downwards in a roll. And that might just be the only thing that saved him.

It was what Temur used but powered by his destructive aura, so when he slashed, hoping to cut off his head, but unfortunately, Kaidos dodged; what happened next was that the air pressure from that attack slammed into him and sent him shooting forward, scrapping his head on the hardened ground.

"Tch!" Temur's face twitched. "And I use a lot of aura in that single attack," His Codex mumbled in his head and he sighed. "I know, my slash is getting more refined but I'm using too much power. Got it!"

His Codex is like a ghost after all; it will even teach during a fight. Continue reading stories on m|v-l'-novelhall.net

Kaidos heart was beating fast as he quickly constructed a shield of blood around himself. His head was throbbing hard, and one tip of his ears had been bruised terribly. He clenched his teeth. "What the...I almost died! Just one second later my head would have rolled!

"Who are they? Just the air pressure causes that much effect? And he's still in Iron rank. Talents like that must be cut short before it grows."

He touched his chest; he was sure his ribs were bruised from that attack from Jael earlier. "This is getting more troublesome by the second. I must...!!!"

"Bam!!"

His blood shield shuddered as something hit it. He couldn't see what was happening outside, but he could feel his shield, and something very hot just hit it and started it to melt. "That's it! I'm killing them!"
