Chapter 282: 282, The Final Battle of Orleans City (5) Elves, Orcs (First Subscription Extra 2/5)_1
Due to the arrival of these dozen or so high-ranking powerhouses, the Empire’s strongmen and the rebel forces stopped fighting and reformed into two groups standing off against each other.
From Tina’s perspective, many of the high-ranking powerhouses around her were not defeated, but they all suffered serious injuries.
Some were covered in blood, some were half frozen, and some were surrounded by a dark aura, as if they were under some sort of curse.
Tina had avoided injury in the recent battle and was in good shape.
She took out a light blue bandage from her Space Ring, ready to heal her companion next to her.
At this point, Princess Alyssa descended from the top of the sky and floated at the forefront of the camp.
She was gasping for breath and appeared to be running out of strength. There was a deep, bloody wound on her left leg.
It revealed that her fight with Tula Yang was not going well.
In terms of strength, Alyssa and Tula Yang were evenly matched. If she entered the mode of Bayana, the God of War, she could even have a slight edge.
In terms of combat experience, Alyssa fell far short of Tula Yang.
Tula Yang was a true Seventh-Rank Peak powerhouse, honed through countless battles. His experience of fights with strongmen of the same rank (including being beaten by Xi Fan) was rich;
Alyssa, in contrast, was elevated by an ancestor of her family. She had no high-level combat experience at all.
So, only half an hour into the fight, Alyssa was already injured while Tula Yang was still in good shape.
Seeing the wound on Alyssa’s leg, Tina quickly flew towards her.
After reaching a somewhat lower position than Alyssa, she used the light blue bandage to wrap her wound: “Your Highness the Princess, this is a special bandage given to me by my father, it will not take long for you to heal after applying it.”
“Thank you, Tina.” Feeling the strong sense of water elements coming from her leg, the princess’s expression softened considerably towards Tina.
It made sense though, there was no contention between them aside from Nemesis.
However, the Princess didn’t have time to talk more with Tina.
After thanking Tina, she fixed her gaze on the approaching group of high-ranking powerhouses: “Michelle, you are here!”
These high-ranking powerhouses were led by Michelle Drank, the city lord of Pearl City, including three Sixth-Rank and thirteen Fifth-Rank powerhouses.
“Your Highness the Princess, I’m here!” chuckles Michelle.
Then she flew towards Landilus with her subordinates: “Duke Landilus, do you welcome us?”
“Of course, dear Lady Michelle.” Landilus smiled, welcoming Michelle’s arrival.
Alyssa’s expression changed slightly: “Michelle, I didn’t believe when Nemesis said you betrayed me at first, but it seems he was right from the beginning!”
“Oh, my dear Princess, this can’t be called betrayal.” Michelle shook her forefinger with a smile,
“I am leading the people of Pearl City to resist the tyranny of the royal family, which is a just cause! How can sacrificing for a just cause be called betrayal?”
At the same time, she looked around Alyssa and asked curiously: “Speaking of Nemesis, where is your little boyfriend? He didn’t run on the eve of the battle, did he? Men really can’t be relied on. Why don’t you serve as my servant when you’re captured?”
Alyssa knew that Michelle was trying to provoke her.
But of course, she would not fall for it, instead coldly stated: “Fortunately, Nemesis warned me early on that you would turn against me, so I was able to successfully ask the Elven Regent for help.”
After saying this, Alyssa turned her head back and shouted in the direction of Orleans City: “Your Majesty the Regent, it’s time for you to show up!”
“Okay.”
Accompanied by the loud voice of the Regent King, twelve elves emerged from the city.
Among these twelve elves, aside from the Seventh-Rank peak Regent King, there was another Seventh-Rank elf, with the rest being Sixth-Rank Sanctuary-level powerhouses, almost all of them archers, druids, and assassins.
The appearance of the Regent King and his subordinates immediately tipped the balance on the field.
The addition of a Seventh-Rank peak powerhouse was something the rebel forces didn’t have the equivalent strength to deal with. If the rebels did not have any new Seventh-Rank powerhouse join, the Princess could easily win this battle.
But neither Duke Landilus nor Anzu Seifer showed any signs of alarm.
Duke Anzu Seifer gave a respectful noble salute to the Regent King, saying: “Your Majesty, it is an honor to meet you.”
Then he looked towards Alyssa: “Your Highness the Princess, since Michelle is aware of your hidden strategy and she has joined our side, how could we be caught off guard by the arrival of the Regent King?”
Anzu Seifer calmly turned back towards their main camp, and loudly called out: “High Priest Grizzle, Sword Saint Kugure of the Bloodthroat Tribe, and friends from the Lai Yin Empire and Wind Chime Empire, let’s all come out together!”
“Alright.”
“Alright.”
The sounds came wave after wave from the main camp.
Immediately after, a large group of powerhouses ascended from the camp. Alyssa estimated that there were over fifty of them!
Among these fifty or so, two were the top powerhouses of the Orc Kingdom – High Priest Grizzle and the Bloodthroat Sword Saint Kugure.
They both were Level 83 powerhouses, their fighting strength akin to Madeline of Forest City who had self-destructed.
In addition, more than twenty were powerhouses sent by the Lai Yin Empire to provide support, with the leader being Thor, who had once helped Su Yu.
Thor was also at Level 83, equivalent to the two orc powerhouses. The rest of the twenty or so powerhouses behind him included five Sixth-Rank and the rest were Fifth-Rank.
The remaining thirty plus powerhouses belonged to the Wind Chime Empire and were led by Prince Gaven IV of Demacia. Among them, there were two Seventh-Rank powerhouses, with the rest being Fifth or Sixth-Rank.
The appearance of these powerhouses immediately upset the balance. Five Seventh-Rank powerhouses were not something the Regent King could handle.
The face of the Elven Regent, Legolas, turned very pale.
But Alyssa’s eyes were filled with surging anger: “Anzu Seifer, Landilus! You dare to collude with the Orcs! Have you forgotten the suffering the Orcs have brought to us humans?”
Humans and the Orc Clan were historical enemies, the kind that were irreconcilable.
She didn’t expect the two Dukes to invite the orcs for the sake of dealing with her!
“Of course, I haven’t forgotten what you said.” Landilus shrugged nonchalantly,
“But these two are from the Bloodthroat Tribe, which has always been fairly friendly towards humans. Besides, compared to the suffering the orcs have brought to humans, the suffering your royal family has brought to the people would be even worse, wouldn’t it! No more nonsense. Today is the day of your royal family’s destruction!”
Joining forces with the more than fifty high-ranking powerhouses who just arrived, the two Dukes and everyone else pulled out their weapons and surrounded the Princess and the elves. A large-scale battle was imminent!
