Chapter 405: 404, Learn Spell from Khadgar_1

Next, Emperor Lai Yin gathered his ministers for a meeting while Su Yu was sent to rest in the side hall.

In order to prevent Su Yu from causing trouble, Khadgar and Sylvanas stayed close by, spoiling Su Yu’s plan to complete tasks within the city and pass the time.

Luckily, Emperor Lai Yin didn’t forget to treat him, his honoured guest.

During the meeting, the Emperor had the guards bring many local fruits and snacks for Su Yu and also sent him five beautiful young girls!

These five girls were about 14 to 16 years old, arguably the most appealing age.

They wore bright clothes that revealed a bit too much skin. Lined up in front of Su Yu in the side hall, each held a fruit or a snack plate.

The prettiest girl among them was at the forefront. She smiled warmly at Su Yu, who was sitting in the main seat, and said with a soft voice, “Lord Nemesis, His Majesty asked us to serve you. Whatever you want us to do during your time in the side hall, we’re at your service!”

Su Yu touched his chin: “Hmm…anything at all?”

“Of course.”

“…”

What was this? A honey trap?

However, Su Yu wouldn’t fall for this.

If he dared to accept these girls, and then Emperor Lai Yin secretly used magic to record this scene and show it to Alyssa, it would be no joke; her favorable impression of him would plummet into the negatives!

“Leave the fruits and snacks and you can go,” Su Yu said sternly.

“Wait! How about we perform a dance for you?” The girl leading the way shrugged off her coat, revealing her…ahem, shoulders.

She gestured for the other girls to scatter, aiming to dance for Su Yu.

But Su Yu remained unmoved.

He raised his hand, all five girls turned into fluffy sheep by his [Transform into Sheep] spell, falling baa-baa-baaing onto the floor.

Su Yu sighed with relief.

Any normal man might find it really hard to resist this scene.

He looked elsewhere in the side hall.

Sylvanas was cleaning her arrows at the time, didn’t glance this way even once, seeming disinterested.

Khadgar turned into a raven, perched on a clothes hanger by the entrance reading a book.

Seeing Su Yu’s actions, he raised his head from the book, “Nemesis, didn’t know you have no interest in humans but rather in beasts? We have a few nobles who share the same exotic tastes…do you want me and Sylvanas to leave to avoid interrupting?”

Upon witnessing Su Yu turning the girls into sheep, Khadgar misunderstood Su Yu’s intentions as having a peculiar preference.

Su Yu: “…”

“I’m not interested in beasts like you said!” Su Yu was speechless.

Khadgar has definitely been reading too many peculiar books, causing intolerable distortions in his thought process.

How can humans be interested in sheep? However, if it were Morning Star’s cat…coughs, that’s another story.

Su Yu shook his head, driving this weird thought from his mind.

Again, eyeing Khadgar, Su Yu suddenly had a brilliant idea!

He took out a book from his necklace, “Arcane Studies – From Initiation to Burial”.

This book was given to him by Khadgar after he ascended to the Sanctuary. He had read it before, but there were many deeper concepts that he didn’t understand. This was the perfect opportunity to seek clarification!

Su Yu flew down to the clothes hanger, looking at the “raven” up on it with a pleasing smile, “Master Khadgar, I have many questions about this book. Could you please spare some time to answer them for me?”

Hearing Su Yu’s request, the “raven” popped its head out of the book, clearly hesitating.

Considering that Su Yu was a guest, and there was indeed the possibility of cooperation between the two nations, Khadgar closed the book and flew down from the hanger, “Alright, wherever you are confused about, I will try my best to explain if I know it.”

And in that manner, Su Yu began to learn Arcane magic under Khadgar’s guidance.

Khadgar could be considered the one with the deepest understanding of Arcane magic in the entire game world.

Learning under his guidance, Su Yu’s comprehension of Arcane magic skyrocketed!

“Ding! Congratulations on successfully comprehending the tier 2 area spell [Blast Skill]!”

“Ding! Congratulations on successfully comprehending the tier 2 support spell [Food Creation Skill], you can use this skill to create magical bread and water;”

“Ding! Congratulations on deepening your understanding of [Mirror Skill], [Mirror Skill] upgrades to [Enhanced Mirror Image], now the images you cast can mimic your spells, causing 10% of your original damage.”

“Ding! Congratulations on successfully comprehending the tier 1 attack spell [Arcane Missiles]…”

One after another, game prompts popped up in Su Yu’s game log.

But he didn’t pay attention to those, only focused on learning from Khadgar more urgently.

Arcane magic, like Space and Element System, is a large system with a deep wealth of knowledge – one will never run out of things to learn!

While Su Yu was learning earnestly, the five “sheep” dared not move a muscle, their eyes fixed on him.

Finding them somewhat annoying, Su Yu cast a [Deep Sleep Skill], newly learnt, at the “sheep”, and they went to sleep.

It was around 3 o’clock in the afternoon when Emperor Lai Yin’s meeting finally ended.

A guard in silver-white armour entered the side hall and bowed to Su Yu.

He respectfully said, “Lord Nemesis, His Majesty would like to see you.”

Hearing what the guard said, Khadgar couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Finally, he didn’t have to waste time teaching Su Yu!

Up until now, he had wasted seven hours of his time on Su Yu!

Sylvanas also perked up and stood up, “Let’s go, Nemesis! We’ll see His Majesty together.”

“Alright.” Su Yu felt somewhat regretful.

If possible, he would have liked to stay a bit longer and learn more spells from Khadgar. There weren’t many opportunities to learn from such a master free of charge.

But there were more pressing matters, so it was best to deal with those first.

Meanwhile, the guard noticed the four sleeping sheep on the ground and gasped, “My Lords, what are these four sheep doing here?”

“Oh, forgot about them.” Su Yu waved his hand, removing the sheep transformations and sleep effects. He tossed a piece of clothing onto the former “sheep” in the lead.

Having dealt with them, Su Yu turned his back on them and left the side hall with Khadgar.

Upon arriving in the main hall, the ministers had already left. The main hall was the same as when Su Yu had left; only Emperor Lai Yin and Anduin were present.

Emperor Lai Yin looked a little sluggish, a stark contrast to his dignified appearance in the morning.

After all, a 7-hour meeting coupled with his old age could understandably take a toll on his energy levels.

Sitting on the Iron Throne, Emperor Lai Yin took a sip of the new tea produced by the Pandamen Empire and warmly said to Su Yu, “Nemesis, after our meeting just now, we have decided to agree to the alliance with your country!”

“That’s great! I believe Empress Alyssa would be delighted to hear this!” Su Yu said with a smile.

“I hope our two countries can cooperate smoothly and make those scoundrels in Wind Chime Empire’s army who have committed serious war crimes pay the price!”
