Chapter 115: Starting As A Six-Year-Old Orphan In A Run-Down Orphanage With Nothing But Simulation Talents

Linsley scanned the room, his purple eyes taking in the malnourished children scattered around the small, cramped space. They were fast asleep, their frail bodies curled up in tattered blankets.

The air was heavy with the scent of damp wood and stale air, mingling with the faint sound of their breathing. The walls were cracked, with patches of peeling paint and the occasional creak from the wind outside. A cold draft slipped through the gaps in the window, sending a chill through the room.

"Great," Linsley muttered again, more to himself than anyone else. "Looks like I'll have to start from the bottom..."

He sat up, stretching his small, undernourished limbs, and tested whether his powers from the Avatar World still worked in this new place.

Closing his eyes, he attempted to summon his Invisible Providence avatar, the familiar rush of power he had always felt when calling upon it.

Nothing.

Linsley opened his eyes, frustration gnawing at him. 'The system was right,' he thought. 'I can't use my Avatar World's powers here.'

It made sense. After all, the god simulation had warned him that powers obtained in one world wouldn't necessarily transfer to another. However, the system did say his simulation talents would remain, and that was something he could test out.

He got to his feet, his malnourished body trembling slightly. With a deep breath, he tapped into his Martial Arts Grandmaster (Purple) talent.

Instantly, he could feel the knowledge and mastery of countless martial arts techniques flood into his mind. His body, though weak and malnourished, responded almost automatically, shifting into a combat stance.

A grin tugged at his lips. Even in this pathetic body, he was still dangerous.

It was like running advanced software on outdated hardware—his movements were fluid, but the lack of physical strength limited how effective they could be.

It wasn't an offensive ability, but it could be maintained continuously, though at the cost of rapidly draining his energy. This would be useful in avoiding unnecessary attention or confrontations for the time being, especially while he was still assessing the dangers of this new world.

Top Hat Hacker (Purple) could be invaluable, depending on whether this world had advanced technology or not. Since he hadn't yet confirmed if this world was modern or ancient, the full extent of its usefulness was still unknown.

Photographic Memory (Purple) ensured he could remember every detail of anything he read, saw, or heard, giving him an edge in learning about the new world around him and navigating complex situations.

Soul Contract (Purple) was something he could use to form binding deals with others, but until he met people worth making agreements with, it remained on standby.

Faith Divine Power (Purple), as expected, was inactive since he hadn't accumulated any believers or faith energy in this world. It was useless until he established some form of worship.

Lawless (Gold) would make him immune to rule-type abilities, allowing him to defy any abilities that tried to bind or control him. It was a powerful talent, but its necessity would depend on what kind of enemies he would encounter in this world.

Physical Immortality (Gold) was already showing its benefits, keeping him from succumbing to his malnourished state. While his body still appeared weak and frail, he wouldn't die from physical injuries or illnesses, and even severed limbs could regenerate.

Lastly, Universal Key (Gold) was perhaps one of his most intriguing abilities. It would allow him to unlock any door, seal, or lock, whether physical, digital, or conceptual.

The possibilities with this talent were endless, and it would prove especially useful in getting out of tricky situations.

The only limitation was that he couldn't unlock something with consequences beyond his ability to handle, meaning he had to be cautious about what he chose to use it on.

Linsley sighed, satisfied with his overall talent pool. While the limitations on external items from other worlds were annoying, he still had more than enough abilities to survive and thrive.

"It could be worse," he muttered to himself, surveying the run-down orphanage.

His simulation talents would allow him to get through this, no matter how low his starting point was!
