"Many adventurers and peddlers have their own personal Scavenger Slimes. They make a big difference when you're out camping."

"Oh, really?"

"You don't even have to feed the things and can even be used as a decoy in a pinch. Right, how about I give you one of mine…? Just kidding, don't make that face."

What I heard from Blade the senior adventurer was information about outdoors camping, stuff that Basic Knowledge-san didn't know.

Mmm, that's useful. Not that I need to camp outdoors with spatial magic though…

Oh, hello. I'm Karina. After I finished my first otherworldly toilet experience, I went to interview a senior adventurer to find out what information Basic Knowledge-san was lacking!

Yeah.

I mean, the way to camp outdoors was included in Basic Knowledge-san's information.

But it was only the rough ideas on things. I really felt that it had only the most basic information.

Case in point being that if you needed to go to the toilet outdoors, you wouldn't know what to do.

Additionally, my intervieweetarget was Blade-san, the one who gave me the medium copper coin.

"… I didn't think you'd come to ask me for information. You're amazing. Ah, no, I'm praising you. Information that senior adventurers have is important. Actually making sure to ask for it is a good sign for you becoming a great adventurer."

"Naaah, it's nothing much. Oh, your jug's empty. Here you go."

"Ooh, thanks."

Yeah, I'd asked my senior at adventuring, Blade-san, to talk to me about his adventures. It went something like, "I'll pour your drinks, so please tell me about your adventures for a bit."

Blade went all, "Eh!?" with a surprised expression, but after a while he continued with, "Well, I guess it's fine."

As Receptionist-san had said, he was a good person.

He was even treating me to a meal. It was a feast worth five copper coins, some bread with ham and lettuce.

Thanks for the meal, senior.

"Hahaha, I'm not charging you for the trouble so be sure to pay me back sometime. If you can't, then pay with your body."

"Ah, I'll pass. I'll just earn money normally."

"Ahahaha, Blade got rejected again."

"Hah! It's not gonna work man! Give up already, Blade!"

"Oh, both of your mugs are low too, here you go."

"Oh, thanks."

"Man do the drinks taste great today."

Blade's companions were a large barrel-chested man, Shieldon, and a smaller man who looked like a monkey, Sekko.

They were all C-rank adventurers. Well, that was basically middle class.

They seemed to be a three-person adventurer party. Blade and Shieldon were the front line, and Sekko was more of a support role.

"Hey, Karina-chan, you're going solo yeah? You have any friends to invite?"

"Yeah, I'm going solo. I may look like this, but I have confidence in my skills. And I'm planning to become a merchant in the future."

"Will you be fine when you couldn't even afford the Adventurer's Guild registration fee? Well, I guess you're going to be a peddler then. If you need an escort, then count on us! We should be adventurers for another ten years or so."

"Yep, if the timing's right, then I will."

Not that I was sure I'd ever actually need to with my spatial magic and all.

"You're gonna have to take on some jobs that'll earn you money first. Even just joining the Merchant's Guild costs two large silver coins and one medium silver coin. You'll need money to do business, so you'll have to save up a lot."

"The safest thing to do is to deposit your money in the guild. If you leave it at an inn, it might get stolen."

"Recommended quests? Even though they're supposedly beginner quests, collecting medicinal herbs is surprisingly difficult. If you don't process them properly, they're useless. And then there are those idiots who uproot the entire plant and ruin the habitat…"

Hmm, the senior adventurers are really informative.

Is it really okay for me to receive so much information just for pouring drinks? How delicious.

"So I should take on hunting quests?"

"You'll need to get some equipment first… Jou-chan, you just look like a villager right now."

"Not having any weapons is like asking to be attacked."

"I understand why Blade wanted to help you out… Oh, by the way, if you're someone's lover or something like that, the party can take care of you. Normally, a temporary G-rank guild card holder can't join a C-rank party."

"That's interesting."

Aah~, my knowledge of things that Basic Knowledge-san didn't know is getting more and more complete.

Whether or not it would be useful was another matter.

"Don't stray too far from town; you could seriously die fighting monsters. Thieves might leave you alive, but you probably can't defeat them either."

"Delivery quests would be safer, but you won't earn much money."

"For now, it's better than nothing, so later go to the waste material storage area behind the guild and get some lumber. If you're lucky, there might be some planks, and you can tie them to your arm with a string to use as a makeshift shield."

Hohoh, sounds like learning woodworking skills would be usefull…

Wait, why would there be useful waste materials there? Could it be that the Adventurer's Guild is doing something to help out poor adventurers? Well, I was one of those poor adventurers too.

"I figured I'd manage somehow since I'm a mage."

"A mage? What sort of magic can you use?"

"Hmm… ah, I can cut through wood."

"Air Cutter? Then you should be able to hunt slimes safely. Rabbits would be a good option too." "Be careful when you spill blood, as it attracts Goblins and Wolves. Once you've hunted something, collect it quickly and run away."

"Ah, be careful with Wolves. Their fur repels blades, and they're too fast to run away from. The easiest way to deal with them is to wait until they jump at you, dive under them, and stab them in the belly with a knife…"

"If you get surrounded, you'll die. Only stray Wolves appear near the town, but if you go further away, they'll come in groups, so never ever do that. And even if your knife gets taken away, never chase after it."

Gotcha.

But seriously, Blade and his friends are so kind. They gave me so much advice just by me asking one time… They're like a beginner's best friend. I'd even let them have a little squeeze of my breasts as thanks at this point.

"First, get your equipment ready! It's the partner you'll entrust your life to!"

"Roger that, thanks for the advice Blade-senpai!"

"Hahaha! That's some good respect!"

"Haha! Thanks! Thanks a lot!"

I was so grateful for the information. When I become a merchant in the future, I'd like to repay them by assigning them a special quest or something.
