Chapter 41 Selling Items (Part 1)

''All right, can you give me a price on these?'' Raydon stated before beginning to extract life cores and other crafting materials from his dimensional storage.

''Wait, wait, wait!!! '' Belicia immediately ran and stopped Raydon.

''How do you have so much material? Anyway, this isn't the best place to sell these. We're going somewhere else.'' She responded in shock and awe.

She gave the salesman a pouch that she had taken out of her dimensional storage. ''There is 1000 gold coins here, and the pouch is worth 25 gold coins. We take this bracelet. ''

''Hey, I said 1200. ''

''We negotiated and you got it down to 1025. Is there a problem? '' Belicia said with a threatening look.

'Tch, why battle maids are all maniacs? ' The seller muttered, accepting the gold coins.

Belicia held Raydon by his arm and pulled him away after having him replace all the items he had taken out.

''Hey, you couldn't have found all that material in your first match, could you? Or was this not your first match? No, if you had awakened earlier, I would have definitely noticed. '' Belicia appeared to be questioning Raydon and conversing with herself.

Raydon let his arm be yanked and waited for Belicia's muttering to stop before responding.

''Where are we going? Apart from materials, there are also items that I need to sell. ''

Belicia paused once more when she heard this and gave Raydon a pupil-dilated look. ''I want you to tell me everything about your first match in detail.''

Belicia found what she was hearing to be unbelievable. If she hadn't seen what Raydon retrieved from his dimensional storage with her own eyes, she wouldn't have believed it.

Was this the same person she'd known for years? The person who has previously relied on others for survival has suddenly awoken as an item holder and won that much loot in his first match? This was difficult to believe.

Raydon grinned and said, staring into Belicia's wide-open eyes of surprise. ''Are you asking as a friend or as a battle maid from a big family?''

Belicia couldn't think of anything to say in response to the question, so she clicked her tongue. ''Tsk, nice move, well, I don't care, I'm not curious anyway. ''

Belicia switched the conversation to something else after realizing she wouldn't get an answer to her question.

''Like before, in this place, you must purchase specific items from specific individuals if you want to purchase anything. For example, the seller of the investigative-type item you purchased was an expert in this field. He typically assesses and sells these kinds of items by himself. ''

Belicia appeared a little colder than usual as she spoke. She must have been a little annoyed by Raydon's earlier behavior.

''Similarly, you should sell your goods to people who need them and are knowledgeable about what you are selling. In this way, you will get the best prices in the market. ''

Raydon spoke calmly to Belicia, who was grunting. ''Hey, I can explain what happened; it's not such a big deal.''

Belicia abruptly turned to face Raydon. She had a spark of curiosity in her eyes, but when she saw Raydon's sly smile, she turned her head and continued walking. ''Hmph. I don't care. I don't want to know. ''

Raydon chuckled and thought as he observed Belicia's demeanor. ' She looks very cute when annoyed. '

Belicia led Raydon to a large structure that was unlike the nearby stalls. Raydon realized why they had come to this three-story, seemingly ordinary shop after entering it.

There were boxes everywhere, and the boxes contained a variety of items. Some of them contained monster hides, while others contained claws and teeth. Even on the shelves, Raydon noticed glass jars filled with blood and eyes.

''I did not expect such a prestigious person to come into my shop today.'' Raydon was surveying his surroundings when he heard a deep and calm voice and turned to look in the direction of the sound.

A man with white hair and a beard emerged from another room through the door wearing a blood-stained butcher's apron.

As he slowly removed his butcher's apron, the man gave Belicia a quick glance before focusing on Raydon.

''I apologize for disturbing you; I believe you were busy. We just came to sell a few things.'' Raydon stated politely. In fact, he seemed surprisingly friendly.

The main cause of Raydon's behavior was the pressure he felt from the man when he first saw him. The man appeared old and harmless on the outside, but Raydon knew that a monster lurked beneath that facade.

Another reason was Belicia's attitude. She only gave a slight bow in response to the man's words. She even avoided eye contact and stood there without saying anything. She seemed to have made up her mind to behave like a true maid.

'She's having fun by throwing me into an awkward situation again, huh? ' Raydon thought.

The man in front of them was obviously not an ordinary person.

''Haha, no worries, I was just looking at some new arrivals.'' The man said this as he began to remove the bloody gloves from his hands.

As soon as the man removed the gloves, Raydon understood what he was up against. The man had a purple tattoo on his right hand. and the number written was 63.

Raydon was well aware of what that implied. The man was a B-Rank item holder. Also, being level 63 was proof of how high his stats could be.

''So what do you want to sell? '' He asked as he walked past the counter at the far end of the room.

He didn't even bother putting on another glove. Raydon has seen item holders wear gloves to conceal their level and rank. The goal was to keep their powers hidden from a potential enemy, but apparently, this man didn't need this at all. There was even a chance that this person was the most powerful man in the area.
