''Well, don't overwork yourself, and make sure you're not sick,'' Belicia said as she messed Rayn's hair with her hand. And she took some money from her pocket and placed it in Rayn's.
''Well, I was just passing through and decided to take a look. I have work to do and must leave. I'll come back later. I'll also bring your favorite chocolates the next time.'' Belicia told everyone, particularly Rayn.
''I'm sorry you won't be able to stay for dinner, but there's nothing you can do. Take care of yourself. ''
''Yes, don't worry about us; instead, focus on your own health. We are pretty good. ''
''You don't need to bring anything every time you come; you already know this is your home. ''
Everyone spoke in unison. Their expressions and voices revealed that they genuinely cared about Belicia.
''All right, see you later. And you don't upset your aunts, okay? '' After saying and seeing Rayn nod in agreement, Belicia turned and left the warehouse.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief when Belicia was gone and quickly picked up where they had left off by following Raydon's instructions.
—
After the warehouse door closed behind her, Belicia walked for a while on the empty and dirty street, then stopped, looked behind her, and muttered.
''Cleaning my ass. There's obviously something they're not telling me. That son of a bitch promised the last time we spoke that he wouldn't hurt my brother and those around him. Or did he go back on his word? '' Belicia gritted her teeth as she thought about it. The thought of harm to her brother and acquaintances drove her crazy.
''I guess I should go and talk to that ugly bastard again and make sure. And if it's what I think it is… '' Belicia didn't finish her sentence, but her expression looked so angry that one could guess what she was thinking.
—
After a short journey, Belicia came to a place where nothing but gray and brown could be found, where not even a green plant could grow. Ruined houses, cars without tires, broken or completely shattered windows, and all kinds of garbage could be seen around.
Surprisingly, there were also people living in what appeared to be a war-torn village in the middle of the desert. Belicia could see people walking around these haunted streets or sitting in front of their houses doing nothing. They didn't even turn their heads to look at her as Belicia passed by.
Interestingly, these people were all dressed in tattered and patched clothes. Even their faces could not be seen from the hoods or pieces of cloth they covered their heads.
Belicia muttered, looking out of the corner of her eye at these seemingly soulless figures. 'There is absolutely no limit to that scumbag. ' And she continued walking without caring.
Soon, when she came to the center of this area, she saw a large factory in front of her, which looked like a dilapidated ruin just like the houses around it. However, this old and desolate-looking factory also seemed to be still functional at the same time, interestingly considering the smoke coming from its chimney and the sounds coming from inside.
Without much thought, Belicia approached the door of the factory but stopped when the two large men guarding the door called out to her.
''Hello Madame, welcome, but we're sorry that we didn't get any information that you're coming. '' Unexpectedly from their appearance, both men bowed their heads at the same time and politely greeted Belicia.
''Yes, because this visit was not planned. Now get out of my way. '' Belicia said coldly.
Seeing Belicia's angry state and feeling the killing intent radiating from her body, the men suddenly broke into a cold sweat. The moment they raised their heads to look into Belicia's deep purple eyes, they were dizzy and felt as if they were going to vomit, and immediately averted their gaze.
'This person is definitely a monster disguised as a human. ' The men thought. The situation they were in could not even be explained by the example of a man trapped in a hungry lion's cage. Even a lion would grant them a more merciful death than Belicia standing before them.
As the men froze, thinking carefully about their next sentence, a loud voice was heard from behind. ''Send the guest inside. Master is waiting. ''
''Y-yes, yes, please, Miss Belicia, go inside. '' The men felt great relief, thinking that they had narrowly escaped the disaster, and immediately invited her inside.
Without giving the men a second glance, She continued and entered through the shattered doors.
She looked at the person who greeted her inside, as well as the owner of the voice just before. This person resembled the people Belicia had seen on her way here. The shabby clothes, the hoodie that prevents even his face from being seen. Even his voice as he spoke was completely devoid of emotion.
''Please follow me. Master is waiting in his room. '' This person said again in a cold and emotionless tone then turned around and started walking.
As Belicia followed behind, she could smell the rotten meat-like odor that was spreading around. This scent seemed to permeate the entire area. She scanned the inside of the factory with her eyes and saw that people were constantly bringing and throwing things into the huge cauldrons with gray steaming from them.
Belicia couldn't see what was inside these cauldrons or what they had put in because of her sight, but she thought they were the source of this smell.
Actually, this scene wasn't all that unusual for her. She had been here a couple of times and had encountered the same thing. She had asked what they were before, but her question remained unanswered.
After walking for a while, they climbed a staircase to the second floor, and the hooded person came to a red iron door, which was probably the only thing that looked new in this factory.
