''I'm sure you're aware of the upcoming rift event, right?'' Fang didn't waste any time and got right to the point.
'So the event will take place soon. ' Raydon thought.
He was aware that the Rift event was a phenomenon that opened gates to other fallen worlds at specific times, but only those who possessed the key could predict when and where these gates would open.
As Raydon nodded, Fang continued. ''Before I request your assistance, I must inquire about something else. Did your mentor or anyone else provide you with a key to access this rift event? '' Again, Fang enquired.
This key was only in the possession of a small number of people because it is much harder to find a key to this rift event than it is even to find a blue-grade item. Also, finding this key was not solely a matter of strength, but rather of luck.
As a result, those who are qualified to take part in this rift event should possess a key, which they should acquire with the help of those who already possess the key.
Understanding what Fang would want from him, Raydon felt a sudden surge of excitement, but he quickly quelled it and said calmly.
''The reason my mentor didn't give me a key to the rift event is because he told me I didn't need to participate. '' Raydon once again told the first lie that popped into his head.
''Wait. You were told by him that it is not necessary for you to take part in this event? You did say you were an F-Rank, right? '' Fang asked in surprise.
Depending on the size of the world in which they occurred, these rift events were normally restricted to ranks, just like inheritances.
The upcoming rift event was an F-Rank rift, making participation restricted to those with either an F-Rank or an E-Rank item holder. Fang had to ask Raydon for help because he couldn't take part in the event on his own because the event dimension couldn't handle the power of a B-Rank item holder like him.
'Even I make an effort to attend this event, so why is his mentor telling him he doesn't have to? What opportunities does that crazy high rank provide for this young man, making him think that this F-Rank event is completely unnecessary? ' Fang pondered in disbelief.
If he really stated that this rift event was unnecessary for an F-Rank, it meant two things. Either that high-rank had plans for Raydon that exceeded what a F-rank rift could provide, or Raydon was significantly more powerful than an E-rank item holder and doesn't need this rift to get stronger.
After giving it some thought, Fang decided that either choice was ridiculous.
'I guess I still underestimated that high rank and this young man,' Fang sighed.
''Well, if your mentor says that this event will not benefit you, then that should be the case. Actually, I have a key in my hand, and I wanted you to attend this event in my name. ''
When Raydon heard these words, he immediately felt uneasy. He was aware of how difficult it was to locate this key, and he began to worry that his earlier careless lie would destroy this opportunity.
''Actually. '' As Raydon prepared to concoct yet another lie to convince Fang to hand over the key, Fang took something from his dimensional storage and continued.
''I am aware that the rift event will not be of interest to you; however, if you agree to take part in it on my behalf, I will give you this body enchantment as payment. Also, if you participate in the event while using this body enchantment, I am confident that the experience points you will earn will be more valuable than anything you find inside,'' Fang said as he handed Raydon the white ball of light.
When he saw this white sphere of light, Raydon paused for a moment. According to Fang's statement, the item he gave Raydon was of equal or greater value than this rift event.ραпdα `nᴏνɐ| сom
He carefully examined this item, which may be even more valuable than an F-rank rift.
[Spirit of the Wisp]
-Grade: White
-Quality: N/A
-Skill: Body Enchantment
Wisp, a symbol of mana and evolution, fortifies the soul, and 100% increases the experience gained from killing enemies.
'Holy mother of all fucks. Is this thing real? ' Raydon's hands shook with excitement as soon as he saw the features of the item.
'If only I had this before entering the inheritance of that golden skeleton. ' Raydon couldn't help but reflect. When he found out that this item could double all experience points gained, he knew it was something that experience farm maniacs like him would risk their lives to obtain.
''And it's only white grade, you know. '' Raydon mumbled under the influence of his ongoing state of shock.
Fang observed Raydon's shaky frame and, upon hearing the sentence he had inadvertently uttered, continued speaking on the assumption that Raydon was unsatisfied.

Fang immediately retrieved another item from his dimensional storage when he observed that Raydon was not listening to him and was still examining the item he was holding.
''Of course, my offer to you does not end there; I will also give you this item in addition to the body enchantment. What do you say? ''
When Raydon heard the word item once more, he finally removed his gaze from the body enchantment he was holding and looked at the other item Fang was giving him.
'Holy crap! There are more? ' Raydon immediately threw the white light in his hand into his dimensional storage and grabbed the other item Fang had extended.
'Dude. You have got to be kidding, right? I don't know what gives this old man the urge to give so much. He won't really ask my still-virgin body for all of this, right? '
When he looked at this additional item that Fang had given him, he couldn't help but think. An extremely rare body enhancement on top of the F-Rank rift event key and now this. Undoubtedly, it wouldn't be inexpensive to pay for everything. But Raydon was willing to do whatever it took to get it all.
Except for the part where he has to give his body to some crazy old man's fantasies.
