Chapter 250 Getting More Serious

As Zephyr and the others came to the realization and comprehension of the flaw in their technique, a wave of excitement washed over them because they now had the newly discovered hope that their technique could be improved now. However, their focus swiftly shifted to the transparent screen before them, as Galen's voice echoed from the training room, raising yet another question.

''You stated that our technique was in fact a combination of two different techniques. I believe that I have a grasp on what player instinct is, and that it is a technique that is based on agility. But what about the other technique? Is the other technique related to the spirit? ''

When Galen understood that the flaw in their technique was mind focus, and when he believed that the original technique was Raydon's player instinct technique, which he is currently using, this question arose in his mind.

To the best of his knowledge, the player instinct technique had nothing to do with the mind; on the contrary, it was an agility-based technique. However, for some reason, his ancestors misunderstood this technique and thought it had something to do with spirit; as a result, it had this significant flaw.

"An agility-related technique? Ah, yes, that's correct," Raydon replied, momentarily taken aback by the question.

'Damn, I had no idea techniques were classified in that manner.'  Raydon had a fleeting moment of self-awareness and thought.

For Raydon, techniques were simply the natural outcomes of his accumulated fighting experience. He had never viewed them from a technical standpoint or consciously thought about the various techniques he had employed thus far.

'So my recently acquired domain technique can be thought of as a technique related to the spirit, and the berserker technique is the stamina? ' Raydon gave it some consideration and then came to the conclusion that he would be able to make better use of his techniques in the future thanks to this newfound awareness.

''Good, you are very intelligent. Yes, the technique I use at the moment is a technique related to agility because it involves the reflexes and natural reactions of the body. And the other technique is a spirit-related technique, as you guessed, due to the fact that it involves mind and focus. '' Raydon said, acting as though he was already aware of this.

"Now it all makes sense. Our technique was nothing more than a haphazard combination of two fundamentally different and unrelated techniques," Mell muttered, a realization dawning upon her.

"In other words, the entire foundation of our family has been built upon a falsehood all this time," Galen said, his voice filled with a sense of dejection.

The reality of the situation hit them like a ton of bricks when they found out that the movement technique, which they had long believed was connected to spirit, was actually connected to agility instead.

As it was widely known, the backbone of families and organizations was their techniques. The Demugen family had primarily concentrated on developing their minds and spirits because they thought their technique was based on spirit. Consequently, a sizable portion of the family was made up of item holders with a spirit build.

Even their titles were spirit-related as a result of this flawed technique, and the items they selected were all spirit-supported items.

As Raydon surveyed the dejected countenances of Mell and Galen, a realization dawned upon him: 'No wonder the family has never produced a high-rank item holder since its establishment. '

Raydon had spent some time thinking about the close connection between techniques and titles. Because of this, he questioned Dan and Karan about the titles they had obtained when they had awakened as item holders after learning the shadow assassin technique.

Because the shadow assassin technique is fundamentally concerned with agility, the titles they received were, not surprisingly, all associated with agility. Dan's title, in particular, demonstrated how much potential he has in the long run because it enables him to gain an unlimited amount of movement speed and attack speed while he is engaged in combat.

However, the Demugen family's reliance on the flawed technique had profound implications for their future. By mistakenly building their foundation as spirit-based item holders with an agility-related technique, they inadvertently limited their potential for growth, preventing them from surpassing mid-rank status in the long run.

Mell's voice trembled with a sense of melancholy and dejection as she mustered the courage to ask, "If you don't mind, may I ask about something?"

''Hm? Go ahaed. '' Raydon replied.

Mell looked up at Raydon with pleading eyes as she asked, "If it's not too much trouble, could you show us the other technique?"

She was utterly disheartened when she learned that the technique they had been relying on up until this point was, in fact, incompatible with them; however, she did not give up hope. The fact that the other technique that went into making their technique was a spirit-related technique gave her reason to maintain her optimism, and she desperately wanted to believe that all of her hard work had not been in vain.

After hearing this request, Galen turned his eyes to Raydon with a hopeful expression on his face. He had no idea how Raydon had become so knowledgeable about these techniques, but based on everything he had said and explained up to this point, he began to believe that he was the only person who could correct the problem that the Demugen family had been struggling with for many years.

Having the realization that using the player instinct technique with their spirit builds would not be sufficient. It had the potential to significantly boost their power if they were able to master the other spirit-related technique that Raydon had mentioned, one that had the possibility of aligning with their current build. And the thought of this fresh opportunity sparked a newfound resolve in them.

Raydon gave the request some thought for a while as he stared at the screen behind him, which displayed the level of difficulty.

'About to move up to level 8. I believe that it is time for me to start taking things a little more seriously as well. ' Raydon mumbled.
