Chapter 262 Mysterious Fallen World (Part 1)

''Was he brought to life with the intention of creating a god? What does this mean? And what does it have to do with this gate? '' Seren inquired, her confusion evident in her voice.

''I think I got it. '' After pausing for some reflection, Zephyr asked Cael, "You said he wasn't from this world, right?"

''Yes. ''

"As I thought, that's where he came from, the fallen world this gate is connected to, right? "

''Yes. ''

'Oh, this body is also from another world, huh? ' Raydon, who was similarly taken aback by this information, kept on listening.

''I see. This explains why he is so skilled in a wide variety of techniques. Just like organizations and families do in our world, but on a much wider scale, they tried to create the strongest item holder by uniting the whole world,'' Zephyr muttered under his breath as he contemplated the situation deeply.

When the others heard about his inference, it jolted their awareness into higher gear. His assumption was not in the least bit implausible.

In their world, the mighty establishments, including their own family, shared a striking similarity. Their shared objective was to nurture the heirs of families and organizations in the most effective manner, aiming to cultivate item holders of increasing power with each successive generation.

To ensure that future generations have the best possible genetic inheritance, painstaking efforts were put into cultivating exceptional battle maids by making use of all of the resources that were at their disposal. The families would carefully select promising and high-potential offspring to be paired with these exceptional battle maids. This would ensure the most advantageous genetic combination for the next child to be born from the pairing of these two individuals.

In addition to this, the child would undergo rigorous training in all of the available techniques, which have been painstakingly handed down from generation to generation, with the end goal of outperforming their ancestors in terms of potential.

Zephyr reflected on the extraordinary endeavor that had been undertaken by all item holders in Raydon's world, where they had united under a single order in the pursuit of creating the most powerful generation. Those who adopted such a strategy in this world, on the other hand, were regrettably divided into numerous families and organizations instead of uniting as one.

''If what you're saying is true, that's incredible.'' Arden was astounded by the idea, which appeared to be a utopia, but he eventually agreed to it.

Because of the inherent selfishness that pervaded their own world, the item holders were unable to realize this concept and instead chose to split up into various families and organizations. Consequently, rather than creating the single strongest generation, this fragmented approach led to the production of numerous flawed generations.

''But there is something else I don't understand. '' Zephyr snapped out of his reverie, looked at Samuen, and inquired.

''If I'm not mistaken, he was still a human when he arrived in this world and later turned into an item holder. How did a human baby survive the calamity in the fallen world, and then you managed to bring him into this world? ''

Zephyr had exhausted all of the reasonable options available to him, but this one didn't make sense according to his reasoning. To be more specific, item holders were the only ones who could use a gate and travel between worlds. A normal person's body, much less a baby's, is not designed to withstand this kind of pressure, and they would certainly perish as soon as they were placed inside a gate.

Aside from that, he didn't fully comprehend why the Observer had turned that world into a fallen world; however, he reasoned that the mystery would be solved on its own if he discovered how Raydon had survived in a fallen world and made his way into this world.

''Good, good. Understanding this fundamental truth will pave the way for comprehending the entirety of the events that have transpired. '' Samuen said with satisfaction.

It had been his intention from the very beginning to lay the groundwork for them to be able to comprehend what they will see and hear before telling them all about it, and now that he could see that they were all prepared to hear about these unbelievable occurrences, he felt a sense of relief.

As he moved behind the broken gate, Samuen started to lay out everything. ''First of all, contrary to what you believe, this underground room was not created by me for training purposes. Instead, this place was mysteriously formed thirty years ago without my knowledge or power. ''

''What? ''

The revelation left everyone in a state of astonishment. They had long been aware of the existence of the underground chamber, but their assumption was that the family leader, being a B-Rank at the time, had personally created it, deeming it necessary to have a training space separate from the rest. Even for people who are used to living in a world that is full of mysteries and fantastical phenomena, the fact that these vast corridors and the enormous room had mysteriously and spontaneously materialized was truly astounding.

Samuen proceeded, oblivious to the expressions of shock on the faces of those who were following him. ''To be honest, I didn't understand why a place like this suddenly existed beneath our family's mansion back then. I investigated this mystery for ten years, and during that time I kept it hidden from everyone by claiming that I built this place as a training ground for myself. ''

When everyone heard what Samuen had to say, they had no reason to feel resentful toward him for the decision he made. After all, he was the head of the family and the most powerful individual among them, so it was only natural for him to keep this information to himself in order to prevent any unrest among low-ranking item holders like themselves. They were aware of the gravity of his responsibilities and respected his choice to keep the secret hidden until it could be deciphered.
