Chapter 295 Who Is Raydon? (Part 1)

"Huh? What are they doing there?" Rayn put his crossbow away in his dimensional storage and then turned his attention to Dan and Karan, who was standing a short distance away.

In the darkness of the night, he could not see very far because his stats were not as high as Belicia's and he did not have any skills that were related to the investigation. However, when he saw a figure kneeling on the ground, he felt an emotion well up inside of him that he could not adequately describe.

'Do I know this person? ' Rayn wondered, feeling a weight in his chest, and he swiftly descended the hill, sprinting toward the figure.

"Hey, where are you going?" Sami, who refused to acknowledge that he had been defeated, was getting ready to make another attempt when he saw Rayn fleeing. Calling out to him, he followed closely, curious about the urgency of Rayn's actions.

As Rayn closed in, the weight in his chest grew heavier, and he began to recognize the familiar form of Belicia.

''Sister? '' Her distinctive purple hair became more apparent, and he realized who it was.

Soon after that, he came face to face with the teary, violet eyes of Belicia, which glowed like emeralds in the pitch blackness of the night.

Finally, the person Rayn yearned to reveal his awakening as an item holder, and his complete healing was waiting before him.

Rayn's eyes began to well up with tears as he increased his pace even further. It seemed as though he wanted to demonstrate that he had completely recovered from his crippled state as well as demonstrate how quickly he can run at this point.

"Ah..." However, living in a wheelchair for his entire life had left him unaccustomed to his restored legs, and in his haste, he stumbled while running at full speed.

As Rayn plummeted toward the ground, a wave of intense embarrassment surged through him. He berated himself for his failed attempt to prove his complete healing to the person who meant the world to him.

Nevertheless, right before the moment of imminent impact, an unexpected occurrence took place. Instead of crashing to the ground, he found himself enveloped in a warm, supportive embrace.

''Sis? '' When Rayn felt these steady arms around him, he immediately assumed that his sister had caught him and prevented him from falling.

And the momentary embarrassment that had begun to form in him abruptly gave way to an overflowing joy and a yearning, and he embraced the owner of these arms tightly while crying his eyes out.

'Huh... Why does it feel different? ' Rayn thought, his tears still streaming down his face as he clung to the person who had caught him. Instead of the familiar delicate and graceful body he expected to embrace, he felt the sensation of hugging a pillow.

"Shhh. You're a grown-up man, right? There's no need to be so scared of falling while running," a comforting voice said, accompanied by a gentle stroke on his head.

Rayn's eyes widened in surprise, and he took a step back, disengaging himself from the embrace. The voice and the touch didn't belong to his sister; they were entirely different.

"What? You're crying just because you were about to fall. What are you? A baby?" Sami remarked with a twitch, his voice filled with exasperation. He couldn't help but notice Rayn's teary, drooling snot face and the disgusted look in his eyes, realizing that his attempt at consolation had not been well-received.

"Wha... What?" Rayn stammered, hastily wiping away his tears, his face flushed with embarrassment. "I wasn't crying because I was about to fall."

''Then wha….  Agh…'' Sami began to inquire, but before he could finish, a resounding slap landed on the back of his head, causing him to cry out in pain.

"You fat ass, you've ruined the whole family drama," Karan admonished, annoyance etched on his face.

"What drama? Ohh..." Sami's confusion cleared as he noticed Belicia's tear-streaked face standing beside Karan.

His attention then returned to Rayn. "Ahhh, I see, I see. Haha, okay, don't mind me then. You can continue," Sami interjected, stepping aside between them.

"This idiot," Karan muttered, shaking his head and facepalming.

"Sister," Rayn choked out, the tears that he had wiped away earlier flowing once more. He sprinted toward Belicia, enveloping her in a tight embrace.

Though they hadn't been apart for long, the inability to share the incredible experiences and newfound abilities with his most trusted person had taken a toll on Rayn's mental well-being. In this embrace, with his legs having fully recovered, it felt like everything had finally come full circle.

"Iyk... This is so cringe," Sami muttered, wiping away the tears that had welled up in his eyes. In spite of his words, it was clear that the family reunion had a profound emotional effect on him as well.

"I still can't believe this," Belicia confessed, finally releasing her brother from her embrace and examining him from head to toe.

Belicia had tried various ordinary healing skills and items on her brother in secret, but due to the congenital nature of his disability, they had proven ineffective.

Because his condition was not typical of an injury and was intricately connected to his entire anatomy, it is extremely unlikely that green-grade skills will be adequate to treat him. Blue-grade skills were likely required, but the availability of such items, even within the esteemed Demugen family, remained uncertain. Belicia, being an ordinary battle maid, did not possess the means to obtain such rare and powerful healing resources.

As a result, she felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and happiness now that the dream she had been pursuing had finally come true.

"Yes, me too. All thanks to the master," Rayn chimed in, his eyes glistening with appreciation and unshakable respect.

As soon as Belicia heard this, her admiration and appreciation for this high-rank item holder, whose power is without bounds, skyrocketed to new heights.

She realized in that instant that Rayn's awakening as an item holder must have been a simple task for their master, given his ability to awaken even Raydon.

"Oh, I almost forgot," Belicia said, remembering the purpose of her visit amidst her overwhelming emotions. She turned to Dan and made her request.

"If possible, I would like to request a meeting with your esteemed master. I have a message from the family that I need to convey."
