From MC's Perspective:
Several hours later,
It's night time. But I haven't found any settlement so far. For a second, I couldn't help but think of that Weird Town. Now, I can guess why everyone in that town can act recklessly.
Because there is no settlement near them. So nobody knows about them. I don't want to change direction right now. So I continued to move forward.
The Lawless Country is a place for crouching tigers and hidden dragons. Many criminals choose this country as a safe haven.
Since everyone is likely to have a hidden identity. I don't think people will openly attack others. While pondering, I continued flying.
Not long after, I saw a forest ahead. What's more I spotted people entering the forest on the ground. Seeing that I slowed down the speed before landing on the ground.
"Let's see what's this all about?" I said in my heart.
Soon, I got closer to the entrance. There are people standing at the entrance wearing Mage Robes.
"Welcome to the Black Market!"
"Are you a newcomer or a regular customer?"
Before I could ask anything, the person before me asked.
"New comer," I replied honestly.
"Entrance Fee for newcomers is 50 Mid Grade Mana Stones. Take it and you can enter inside," The Wizard said.
Hearing that I handed them 50 Mid Grade Mana stones from the pouch and got white token from him.
"Drop your blood on that token. With that token, you can access the black market anywhere in this region," The person said while showing yellow teeth.
The other hand, I'm using the system to probe. Seeing that token was indeed genuine.
I nodded before dropping a small amount of the blood on the token. The token shines before returning to normal.
The Wizard showed approval. Many newcomers will ask many questions. Even some of them are rebellious. This time they have met with a good understanding Wizard.
"You can enter inside. If you want to leave, you can ask the guard inside to show you the way," The Wizard said.
The other hand, the stall owner was an old woman. Rarely does anyone pay a visit to the book stall. If not for her personal connection, she would have driven away long ago.
Now she is in urgent need of resources.
"Guest, if you are interested in buying this book. Can you come inside?" The old woman asked.
The other hand, I found no malice or ill intentions from the old woman. Otherwise, the system would have warned me.
"Okay," I replied before walking inside the tent.
The old woman was happy. But it's not easy to strike a deal.
When both of us entered inside. The woman closed the door and looked at me.
"Guest, if you are interested in buying all these books. How about an offer?" She asked.
"Offer?" A quick gleam flashes in my eyes.
"Can you tell me the origin of these books?" I asked.
The old woman hesitated before answering,"I can't tell you everything. But these books once belonged to various forces in the Lawless country."
"After their destruction, these books were transferred to several people before ending up in my hands," She added.
Hearing that my heart shocked to the core. It's a good opportunity. I can store these books in the Gregor Mansion.
Whenever there is a hard situation. I can read these books to pass the time.
"Alright, how much?" I asked.
"500 Mid Grade Mana Stones," The old woman asked.
"Harumph, impossible," I replied with a snort. The old woman has a big appetite. Shaking my head, I decided to leave.
"Wait, how much can you offer?" She asked. She asked for a sky high price. But the guest was not fooled.
"These books have no use to others except the bookworms. So I will give you 150 Mid Grade Mana Stones," I replied.
"150," The woman hesitated before nodding her head.
