Chapter 1016 Arken City

Dark League:

Old Witch Arika received word that the people sent by them had yet to locate Vincent Carey. She wrinkled her brow. She doesn't like it when their members fail to complete missions.

It was an easy task; forget about killing Vincent Carey. They did not know where he was yet. If they wait any longer, Vincent Carey may be escorted back to Yellow River Academy.

The Meteor Supreme will not accept failure the next time. Their organization has already fallen out of favor with him. If they continue to disappoint him. Then their Dark League Organization will suffer significant losses in the future.

Then she began to ponder. There are several ways to locate Vincent Carey. For instance, mystery magic. Some wizards use strange magic to discover answers.

However, that type of magic usually involves sacrifice.

She suddenly came up with an idea. There was an old, wicked wizard who owed her favor. If she wants, she can use it to discover Vincent Carey's location.

Her eyes flash with hesitation. It was her personal preference. It had nothing to do with the organization. Furthermore, she is unsure whether her members are capable of killing Vincent.

She does not have faith in their competence. Furthermore, she is aware that Vincent Carey was supported by the Magic Lord. So it is natural for him to have life-saving items.

Especially following their attack on the Wizard Heart Competition. Unless there is a perfect net for catching Vincent Carey. She is not going to use her favor lightly.

"I can not take advantage of the opportunity. "But I can try to gather information about what the other two academies are thinking," she told herself.

She knows that, like the Dark League, the other two academies must be desperate to kill Vincent Carey.

...

From MC's Perspective:

"Arken City," I muttered, staring at the marked area on the map.

There was only one city with this name in the entire country. So I am pretty sure of my current location right now. More importantly, Arken City has an airfield.

Because the city is well-known for holding frequent auctions. The airfield must have been built to receive the guests.

"I am heading to this city to find the next lift," I told myself.

Then I put on the Adventure Suit and mask before leaving. I have already paid at the inn. So it is time to leave.

Nobody stopped me from going outside. As many people appear to leave for the auction as well. After nodding at the old man, I went outside.

Then I noticed that there were more transport vehicles parked outside than the night before. There are even some who fly in groups to their destination.

Seeing that, I used my flight ability to appear in midair. Then I started following them.

Time passed,

There are air cars and monster carriages flying above me. There are wizard groups flying in front of me. But I am not the only wizard.

I discovered other wizards who were traveling alone, like myself.

One hour later,

A white structure appeared in front of my eyes. It is a massive wall. There are many settlements outside the wall. They may not be city residents, but rather migrants.

When we fly over these small residents, I notice a large number of people staring at us. I swept my eyes around. But I have yet to locate the airfield.

We quickly reached the city wall. A massive iron gate blocked everyone's path. Except for vehicles, no one was permitted to fly above the city walls.

Hearing that, I frowned. I have not felt good about the Bright Nation since the beginning. First, there was an attack on airships. Then there was a poor little town.

There are now settlements on the outside. I have a feeling it is not a good idea to meet people from top forces here.

"Mister," Ed called out.

His words disturb my thoughts.

"OK, take me to the auction house," I said to him.

Ed was not surprised to hear that. He expected this to happen.

Then we started walking towards the auction.

As I continued to walk, I could see that the paths were becoming wider. Nearby shops are expanding and becoming more prosperous. It is as if I have entered a wealthy community.

Ed, on the other hand, appeared to be nervous. He can not stay near the Auction for very long. Otherwise, he would be targeted by his rivals.

We soon arrived at the circular, white building. It occupied more space than other buildings.

I have no doubts that it is an auction building.

"Do you know where I can buy a ticket?" I asked.

Ed nodded hesitantly before leading the way.

Observing his nervousness and the sweat bead on his forehead.

My eyes sparkled.

"He lives his life as a guide. I am not sure if he is hiding something from me," I said in my heart.

When I arrived at the office. I see that people are coming and going. However, they are all dressed neatly.

Then I noticed Ed's body shaking.

"What happened?" I asked.

Ed gritted his teeth and shook his head.

Seeing that, I followed his gaze and noticed a group of guys looking at us. They are of similar age to me. But what drew my attention was their outfit. They are similar.

Looking at their smirk and smile. I understand what is going on.

I pressed Ed's shoulder and said, "Do not worry. You are my guide right now."

Ed's complexion improved after hearing that.

"Wow, what have we got here!"

"The trash has returned with another peasant."

"He will not be able to earn a bonus."

"In this way, he will be kicked out soon.

"Ha...Ha....Ha..., he will return to the settlement once more."

The guides communicated with each other.
