The loading screen started to play in Breeze's channel as notifications were sent to his followers.
"It's here! Hehehe, he finally plays a new game!"
One such person was a man in his twenties. He had a perm black hair and glasses to hide the dark circle around his eyes. His pale skin stood out in his room and lacked light, only lit with many hologram screens hovering around, making him look like a vampire.
"Damn Breeze! This guy is so good that he ate all my money!"
Without wasting a second, he opened the stream page and watched the loading screen change into the game screen. A grin appeared on his face.
"Hehe, let's see how you survive this game."
In fact, this guy told other viewers to vote for this particular game because he wanted to see Breeze suffer.
There was no need to guess this person's identity as he was someone insignificant among the viewers.
"Hello, guys! Hahaha, let's play some survival game!"
Breeze greeted them excitedly, as usual. And just like any other stream, this person immediately brought up his keyboard and donated while laughing like a madman.
"Hahahahaha!"
[BloodSucker has donated 200 diamonds!]
[Hahahaha! Suffer in this game, Breeze! I will look forward to it. I hope you won't run from the future's bet!]
***
'This guy never learns.' Max grinned as he saw the donation message. It was from his loyal viewers and the second highest donator in the ranking, BloodSucker.
Because he had such a high profile, he remembered him and even gave him a nickname that everyone used to call him.
"I will have to thank you for your donation in advance, sucker."
— No mercy, lol
— Money pocket donated at the start of the game!
— Poor sucker. Breeze only sees him as a walking wallet.
— Good to be you, sucker. At least Breeze remembers your existence
— Shut up! And I am BloodSucker, a vampire! Not just sucker!
Max crossed his arms and nodded, "Yeah, yeah. I understand that." He said, "Anyway, I think I need to explain what game I will play today. I don't know much, but at least I will read the introduction of the game."
V-Shelter Survival was an online game published by Biozone Entertainment a year ago. It managed to gain popularity early on and broke a million concurrent viewers in just a few days.
Max's avatar looked similar to his real life, as he didn't do any tweaking on it. Most streamers who had revealed their faces did the same to make the viewers remember them more easily.
His character appeared with a blue light in the middle of the destroyed city. He wore a simple brown suit, covered in dirt and blood, and tactical pants.
On his back was a backpack that served as a limited inventory with two breads and one water bottle. There was also a water purifier and a simple knife for self-defense.
Those were the beginner sets that everyone got when they first started V-Shelter Survival.
"Oooh!" Max exclaimed in wonder as he looked around the area, "It's really different from Knight's Journey. I am in a destroyed civilization!"
— Somehow, he fits the area pretty well. Is Breeze supposed to live in that place? Damn!
— The setting was a destroyed civilization from 20 years ago. All technology was still far behind what we have today, but my dad said that era was called Modern instead of Advanced.
— It's a destroyed modern world. I read about it in a history book. It said our technology had evolved faster after 2025!
— V-Shelter Survival took an IF route if our technology destroyed us. It's a really daring concept
— Failed Nutritional Supplement becomes a virus that makes humans mad. That's a genius idea.
— Even the items we looted came from the modern world. First-time players might not be able to know what they can be used for!
— You guys are so knowledgeable that it's scary
— Geeks!
Modern world... Those words made Max stop looking around in amazement and observe his surroundings.
Skyscrapers made from concrete and glass. Some familiar cars stopped by the sides of the road, destroyed beyond saving but recognizable nonetheless.
The dark gray asphalt in place of the lighter one he always saw in Lime City.
Without a doubt, it was similar to the modern world he knew.
'But this is not the Earth from my previous life. It could be a different timeline... Well, that's not too important.'
Yes, that was unfortunate, but not that important.
One thing was sure.
'I can use my knowledge to know what items I loot and how to use them. Well, if it is any use.'
Once again, he had the advantage that the viewers didn't know. Even without looking at V-Shelter's community forum, Max was confident he could understand the items without any problem.
"I appreciate your help, guys. Now, where should I go first? I guess I need to find a place to build a shelter before it's gone dark."
Having said that, he looked around while reading the chat. Most said to go to the North or West, while some told him to find a roof to look around first.
Deciding on where to go according to chat's suggestion, he nodded and began moving.
