[Livestream Starts!]
At night, Max started the stream from his Lobby. He sat relaxed under the large tree while preparing two videos that he thought deserved the reward. Among the hundreds, he found out a few that stood out from the others.
"Hello, guys! Just as I mentioned a few days ago, I will announce the winner of the contest today!" He greeted the viewers excitedly and spread his arms, "Also, I will open Q&A again after I announce the winner. I posted the form link in my Strike. Do follow my social media account to get news!"
— Wooo finally!
— Heh, it's clear that I'd win the contest
— Q&A again? I assume it's because of the recent drama
— I have so many questions! Such as what's his plan next!
— He played so many Midnight Heist lately, I wonder if he will move on soon
— Has he played 15 times already? I know Breeze is a casual player, but will he try ranked matchmaking?
He read the chat and chuckled. It seemed like almost everyone was curious about his next stream. And among 11K people who watched him, no one seemed to blame him for BearGuy0G's termination.
'Then I can proceed as planned.'
"Hmm, the form is open right now, so you can already fill in your question. While you do that, I will show you 6 videos that have taken my interest! There will be two winners among them, the first and second prizes."
He showed the screen with six videos playing side by side behind him. The viewers could clearly see the video and the uploader's name.
What he didn't expect was that among the six of them, two applied for an editor position. The first was BloodSucker, and the other was an account called SinSanSon. Both of them had different editing styles, but they also fit his requirements and style, so he was a bit torn.
In the end, he decided to postpone it for a while.
'I will decide after talking to them in private. Even if they applied, they could change their minds after hearing the pay and my offer.'
Yes, it still wasn't clear whether one of them would agree to become his editor or not. He could only hope they would be satisfied with his offer.
And when all six videos had finished, Max crossed his legs and smiled.
"What do you think? In my opinion, they are cut above the rest. Of course, I am not saying the others are bad. But these six videos are just... masterpieces from six different people!"
While he actually wanted to put two BloodSucker's videos in the list, he decided not to do that to avoid a backlash. One video per person was enough. And so he chose the first video that featured the Knight's Journey.
Surprisingly, SinSanSon's videos both featured his parkour footage. He edited them with a transitional style, where the video flowed endlessly from the start to the end. The transition was smoother than his crappy editing, and it actually made his video far better.
And the viewers were able to see that.
— That video on the top left is like Breeze's but far better. It's an enhanced version!
— The videos are so good! I recognized BloodSucker and NightyThief, but the top left is also great!
— Damn, those qualities are insane! NO COMPLAINT!
— I joined the contest so I can say that my videos are trash compared to those six.
— Breeze chose them carefully, I see. Even if I lost, I won't complain
— GG
But Max wasn't done yet.
"I said there would be two winners, but both had the #EditorBreeze hashtag. Don't get me wrong, it's not because they used that hashtag that I made them the winners. But, I know some people might not be satisfied, because I am too! So, I will reward the best video with the #BreezeContest hashtag."
When he said that, the chat was surprised.
— You don't need to do that
— No one complained about your decision! Both of them deserve the win.
— It's enough.
— You don't need to... (But if you want to, feel free to. Cough, I am willing to take it)
— SHAMELESS! Just give the reward to me hehehe
— WHO ARE YOU?! Breeze loves money, but you spend money instead. Are you... HIS CLONE?!
— HELPPP BREEZE IS SPENDING MONEY!!!
"Nah, guys. I have decided which video this reward will go to. And I am not shameless enough not to appreciate someone's hard work." He narrowed his eyes in complaint.
The chat was too much at accusing him, but they weren't wrong. He indeed felt bad spending his money to add a reward, but he thought the third winner deserved it.
Then, he brought the screen filled with video over to the front.
"NightyThief video will be placed at number 3. I will give him $500 as a reward, the same as the number 2. For the winners, please contact my Strike as soon as possible."
— NightyThief? Well, that guy also deserves it
— To be honest, his video quality is similar to the second one. I guess it's a good decision.
— Good grief... I won. I lost hope when I watched my competitors' videos, hahaha
— Congrats, Nighty! Crawl under my bed tonight. Lemme enjoy your reward
— CONGRATULATIONS for the winners!!
— Damn guys, you are the best!
"With that over, let's continue to the Q&A section! Let's see..."
Max closed the question form and looked at the response. It had more than 1000 responses, but the AI had turned it into 32 unique questions. Answering them would take time, so he probably couldn't play Midnight Heist tonight.
"First question is..."
Opening the first question, his eyes narrowed as he read it out loud.
[Q1: What's your relationship with Lily Spencer?]
It was a hard question right off the bat.
For him, who had just realized something 3 days ago... It was a hard question. In fact, he hesitated a little bit before giving an obvious answer.
"We're just friends."
A small smile formed on his face. Hope and longing were clear in his expression.
