Blue Eden Hall was the name of one of the halls in the Eden Convention Exhibition, ECE. This building was often used for e-sport events, and Blue Eden Hall was one of them. It had complete equipment for an official event, including more than 50 latest-generation VR Capsules.
Many advanced cameras were also installed, with professional staff operating them. They were part of the crews that came with the rent of the hall, a package if one had to put it in a word.
Naturally, the cost to rent such a hall was astronomical. However, Flexy had a way to handle it. That was by getting sponsors.
"Please put the box in that place. Yes, display all the sponsors in a visible manner. Please ask my secretary about the size and placement. All players will enter the hall before the Scrim. Make sure to get all their faces when they do. Indeed.
Thank you very much."
"Ah, hello? Yes, please..."
Max watched his friend deal with various calls from the sponsor, staff, and the event organizer with a curious gaze. The orange-haired streamer looked very busy, and just now, he realized how much Flexy had done behind the scenes to prepare for this event.
Even in the waiting room before the Scrim started, he had to finish the last preparation.
'And I just made money from the tournament. Well, now I feel bad for him.'
"Do you want some tea, Max?" Someone called out for him from the side, holding two cooled bottled teas. It was Lily.
"Ah, thanks." He said and took one bottle from her hand.
"You're welcome." She responded and sat next to him as if it was natural. She also observed Flexy in his work, "He's pretty busy."
"Yeah. Sadly, I know nothing about event preparation, so I can't help him."
Because this hall was located close to the Biozone Hotel, Max arrived first with Lily, who stayed at the same place but in a different room. StoneSword was the one who took them to the hall, but he couldn't stay because he was busy with Spencer Company matters.
As a result, both Max and Lily arrived sooner than scheduled and ended up watching Flexy doing his last preparation for the event.
"Thank you. Yes, please bring the meal for the players at 4 PM. The payment will be sent by my secretary. Yes."
After talking to the restaurant responsible for takeaway food, Flexy ended the call and sighed. He even groaned loudly while cracking his neck.
"Is everything done?" Max asked curiously as he looked at his friend's tired figure.
"Hmm?" Flexy hummed and turned to Max, smiling brightly. "Yeah! I finished everything on time."
"Wha– You know my weakness and still dare to use it against me? What kind of friend are you?!"
"The one who will push you to the cliff just to have fun," Max smirked at Flexy's perplexed face.
Of course, he would only push Flexy off the cliff if there was a good safety measure. But what he said was just a metaphor, so it didn't matter.
"Anyway, Ferin and Atlas should arrive soon. Don't you have the responsibility to welcome them and guide them here, team leader? Knowing their popularity, I don't think the staff will be able to handle them. You can tell us the team we should be wary of later after we gather."
"You don't need to tell me." Flexy stood up and fixed his orange jacket, "I will return soon. Don't do anything strange in this place!"
Zuu!
The automatic door was closed as soon as Flexy stepped out, and Max burst out laughing. His friend could be funny at times, even when he was irritating. Usually, he wouldn't be afraid of Lisa for slacking off, but today was a busy day. So, he used this chance to threaten him and get a reaction.
And the fact he didn't say anything when Flexy teased him was to get this kind of reaction.
"That's one win for me."
However, there was someone who was unexpectedly affected by what he did earlier.
"Flexy is right." Lily said as she regained her composure, "You're stupid, Max."
When Max turned to the side, he saw Lily pouting. She inflated her cheek, trying to tell him from his expression that she was unhappy with what he said after realizing he was joking around.
Forget watching Lisa chewing Flexy off. He might also be in trouble.
"I am sorry." He apologized with a guilty smile.
That was all he could do right now. And Lily was simple. She forgave him.
"Don't joke about it next time." She said.
As someone who wasn't as dense as a rock, Max clearly understood what she said.
'I won't.'
When both of them were ready, he would say it proudly. That he loved her.
