Max started the stream as soon as he entered his Lobby and sat on his usual chair.

"Hello, guys! Hahaha, welcome to my stream. Today, we will continue our Mercenary Quest. Having cooked too many noodles, now I want to cook some monster soup."

— Welcome back, chef!

— We've been waiting for this! Let's continue the main story

— Took you so long to return from the moon where cockroaches are.

— Let's gooooooo!

"Yeah, you are right. Just when I returned from the moon, I took up cooking as a job. But now I have returned to hunt a Colossal-Class monster." He laughed merrily. "Now then, let's get into the game."

After saying that, Max pulled out the game screen and logged in. His vision changed almost immediately and he stood in a ranch where he last logged out. A large cat-like monster, Catlapu, was sitting next to him with its tail moved around.

His body was covered in the armor, the weight of the greatsword could be felt on his back.

"Blackie!" He exclaimed, spread his arms, and began to stroke his fur.

"Meow~ Prrr...~" Blackie purred and snuggled close to him.

"Hahaha, did you miss me? There, there." He continued stroking Blackie in a good mood.

The viewers didn't miss the overly happy display he showed them and began to speculate.

— Hey, didn't he look so different from yesterday?

— Now that you mention it, he's so cheerful today. Even though he ate Da Bomb yesterday

— Strange... Something is fishy.

— Ah, my bad! I just returned from harbor and hadn't taken a shower yet. That's why it smell fishy

"Hah! Quickly get out of my ranch."

"I will, don't rush me."

After getting rushed and pushed by the grumpy old man, Max exited the ranch. As soon as he did that, he saw a lump of light waiting for him.

"Let's see the next mission, shall we."

He approached the light and let it guide him. It moved toward the station, just like usual. The ranch was close to the entrance, so reaching his next mission giver was easy.

And when he saw the question mark on top of that person, his expression immediately soured.

"Yikes, I have to hear his yapping again. Why does the mission giver always Jamal the Yapper?"

— lolol, Jamal the Yapper

— Quite a fitting name for Jamal. I will call him that from now on.

— Yapper! Skill: yapping for more than an hour and attacking mentally. Damage: great. Danger: High Danger

— Good luck, I will mute the stream for a while...

"Oh?"

When Jamal saw Max getting close, he raised his voice and waved his hand.

"Newbie, come here. I just heard some interesting news when you're gone from the Tromax extermination squad."

"Oh?" Max asked curiously, as it seemed like Jamal had no intention of yapping this time around. "What is it?" He continued, stopping in front of the energetic mercenary.

"Listen and don't be surprised." Jamal lowered his voice and turned serious. "It seems they have found a trace of a Medium-Class monster leaving Misty Forest and heading to Flora Hill. Based on the track, they guessed it's either Marauder or Grandmoo."

"Marauder or Grandmoo..." Max repeated what the mercenary had said.

"Yeah, both of them span more than 10-meter long and 5-meter big. It's different from Small-Class monsters." Jamal nodded and continued, "Marauder is fine. This monster will stay in one area and eat Small-Class monsters as food. The problem is Grandmoo."

Pausing briefly, Jamal created tension in the air. His eyes narrowed as if he remembered something bad.

"Grandmoos' size can exceed 20 meters depending on their age. It would continue to eat grass as it kept moving without stopping. Based on the track found by the extermination squad, this monster headed straight to Flora Hill. That same direction would lead them to one of our important railways."

Hearing that, Max immediately understood where the problem was. If the monster that left the track was Grandmoo, then it could risk one railway being destroyed from getting stepped on. That would be a disaster that cost a lot of money.
