The other mercenaries had reached the monster first. Catchy Mercenary Group took out a harpoon tied to a sturdy rope and began to attack Grandmoo, trying to tackle it down.
Sharp harpoons dug into the monster's flesh, eliciting sharp screams from it. Red blood was drawn, and the sturdy rope was dyed by its color.
"Pull!"
15 strong mercenaries pulled the rope at once to topple the giant monster. Two people were in charge of its hind legs, and they moved skillfully. Their experiences had taught them how to stop Grandmoo and tackle it.
Boom!
The monster fell on its belly with a loud sound. The ground shook from its sheer weight. Cracks formed around where the monster got tackled, but all mercenaries could hold their ground and pull the ropes with all their strength to keep Grandmoo in its place.
All this happened while Max was running toward the monster, just reaching the flowery hill. He was able to watch everything and was in awe.
"Attack!" David shouted as he raised his greatsword in the air.
"Goddamn! They are awesome!" He exclaimed as he slid down the hill with the other attackers.
— They are so efficient. It reminded me of a military squad.
— No, even the military won't be able to take down such a big monster with just a rope tied to a harpoon!
— Superhuman mercenaries. They are so scary when they work together
— But, guys. Imagine this... Caesar can do this alone. Heck, he will punch Grandmoo to the sky without any problem!
— Yeah, that's so absurd.
"I don't care about Caesar's power right now. Some mercenaries have reached Grandmoo, I have to hurry!" Max said as he increased his speed. Jamal was right in front of him, and he passed the yapper.
The monster was struggling to get loose, causing the mercenary to back away slightly. But with another strong pull from 15 mercenaries from Catchy, it calmed down once again, giving them a chance to attack.
Max used this chance to jump on top of Grandmoo and began to hack its neck.
Swoosh!
The greatsword cut the air and bounced against the monster's fur. The force from the bounce caused Max to lose balance for a second before he recovered it, his eyes widened in surprise.
"What the? I can't cut it!" He exclaimed and tried to cut it again, but his sword bounced again. "Why?!"
— Your sword is too dull
— If you can't slash it, then punch it
— Nah, with this, you're unable to choose the reward lol
— lolol, cling clang cling clang! Try to hit another place, lol
Someone's shout reverberated on top of the monster, and all the mercenaries jumped down the raging Grandmoo that made its last desperate attempt to kill them all.
Max helped to hold the rope with them. The ground shook greatly as if a strong earthquake hit it. The cracks spread wildly. Some places sunk and caused the binding to loosen a little bit, but that wasn't any problem anymore. The monster was unable to get up by now.
"Run away! Or you will get caught on its rampage and die!"
David gave out instructions with a clear voice. Everyone followed without questioning, running away from Grandmoo. They watched as the monster moved around and destroyed Flora Hill. The flowers and beautiful greenery were trampled.
However, they managed to save the important rail.
After rampaging for what seemed like a few seconds, Grandmoo stopped moving all together. Its body twitched, the last movement from its muscle.
Looking at it, David stepped forward and raised his sword.
"We won!"
"Woooo!!"
"Awooo!"
"Hyahahaha we win!"
Laughter immediately filled the space. Everyone cheered, including Jamal. Max was caught up in the atmosphere and joined.
"Hahaha! That was fun!"

— No die run. What a miracle
— It's the first time Breeze didn't die in a mission lol. His skill improved.
— Now, how is his contribution?
That was the real question.
A notification popped up in front of Max.

"Huh?" He let out a confused voice as he looked at his contribution rank.
