Chapter 1858: Another Karen Bites The Dust.

Taylor cursed in his heart. "This is not 100% simulated reality. Body physics has been enhanced. No old lady should be able to move like that."

He felt that she was cheating. But he didn't go over to her to ask how she did what she did or accuse her of not behaving like a real old lady. Instead, he veered away from her at the fastest speed possible.

He can curse and run for his life at the same time. Some people didn't do so. They were gawking at the old lady while some were pointing accusatory fingers at her.

One person even matched forward to confront her. It was a white middle-aged lady. This white lady hadn't even spoken before the old lady had had enough. Just the look on the white lady's face that indicated an angry talking to had pissed her off the old lady.

The old lady swung her blade at the white lady. The white lady tried to protect herself with her strong arms by using them to block her face. This turned out not to be a good idea.

Her strong arms disappointed her when it counted. The blade sliced through them and cut into her chest. The white lady fell to the ground, crying and bleeding.

The old lady didn't finish her off. Instead, she stepped onto the face of the dying woman and glared at everyone around her.

She asked them with a glare, "What are you looking at?"

The glare was extra terrifying because of all the wrinkles on her face. But things became even more terrifying because the old lady didn't wait for an answer as she ran towards the people around her with her blade held high.

People ran around in a panic. Some fell in their attempt to run and became pinatas for the old lady to hit with her sharp metal stick.

Blood and flesh flew around as the blade cut into people. The old lady was cackling the whole time. She looked possessed. It was a scene right out of a horror movie.

"Fuck me," he roared when he realized what had happened.

The prompt he received soon after only confirmed his conjectures.

-You Have Been Eliminated.

-You Have One More Free Chance.

-You Can Have A Third Chance But It Will Cost You Your Life If You Fail It.

-The Next Trial Will Be In 24 hours.

-Make Up Your Mind Before Then.

He laughed, "Of course. It will not be pleasurable for the sadistic Heavenly Corporation if people don't put their lives on the line."

He didn't even question how they would take his life. He assumed that if they can beam a 100% reality simulation into his mind, then they can probably cause his mind to break from a distance too.

He sat dejectedly on the couch and tried to gaze into the distance. But he couldn't because the prompt remained in his field of view. It was a constant reminder of his failure and the sacrifice The will have to make if he continues failing.

His recent failure and the price of continuous failures made him question his resolve. He wanted to know how far he was willing to go for his mother.

Back in the trial, the large cat walked over to Taylor's body, which was still fresh and bleeding. It began eating his body while paying attention to its environment for sudden

sounds.
